For my newsletter I decided on Ghost as a platform. This post from its co-founder will help you understand why:

Not to mention: Their data servers are in the EU and they're fully GDPR compliant. For many European operators, this is not just a plus, it's a requirement. Ghost should make more noise about it (I learned this in the depth of an FAQ).

This says it all, about #ghost as a publishing platform:

● "Structured as an independent non-profit organisation. No owners, outside investors, no ulterior motivations, no conflicts of interest."

● "A sustainable revenue model with official, managed hosting. Not a giant venture-scale startup, just a simple business."

Y gracias.

A las pantallas me refiero.

Please reflect on this.

Voyager 1 “turned off its primary X-band radio transmitter and instead switched over to its secondary S-band radio transmitter, which uses less power.” Then sent us a message. From 15 billion miles away.

It sounds like AI, but it’s not. It’s a space craft we launched in 1977. That’s FOURTY-SEVEN years ago.

We did this. For all our flaws, we do some spectacular things. I have to remember this.

thank you too! I reckon that on a grand scale, we're all probably orbiting *something*, and the Voyager craft were sent out to see what's out there. I feared I might have missed some big news. ;)

Interesting post on bluesky pseudo-decentralization, the tech bros of the valley, and as a filigran, capitalism :)
