Allant au-delà même de ce que projetait Darmanin, le Sénat a voté la suppression de l’Aide Médicale d’État (AME). L’objectif est de rendre la vie impossible aux étrangères et étrangers, mais avec des conséquences graves pour toute la société, puisque ça dégraderait encore plus la santé publique. Sans traitement, les gens privés de l’AME verraient empirer des problèmes bénins, et engorgeraient les urgences.
Une chasse aux migrant·es
La loi propose de lier systématiquement les Obligations de quitter le territoire français (OQTF) aux Interdictions de retour sur le territoire français (IRTF), associant les étranger·es à la délinquance, et entérinant le principe de double peine ! Les gens sous OQTF seraient inscrits sur le « fichier des personnes recherchées » faisant de l’OQTF non une sanction administrative, mais une sanction pénale. Le ministre suggère même la création d’une « police du séjour », rappelant ainsi la France coloniale des années 1930 avec la Brigade nord-africaine, ancêtre de la BAC.
Ce serait la multiplication des contrôles au faciès, accentuant la pression sur les populations non blanches, avec prises d’empreintes et de photos de force, ce qui augmenterait les violences policières. Ce serait l’agrandissement des centres de rétention administrative (CRA), prisons pour étranger·es en attente d’expulsion où les maltraitances sont fréquentes.
« Non-respect des principes de la République »
La loi remettrait en cause le droit d’asile, l’accueil des victimes de violences, y compris des enfants, balaierait la présomption de minorité et autoriserait la séparation des enfants de leurs parents. Elle introduit de surcroît un élément central : la privation de titre de séjour pour « non-respect des principes de la République ». Le flou de ce critère laisse augurer bien des expulsions racistes arbitraires.
Une loi raciste au service du capitalisme
Pour paraître équilibré, le ministre dit qu’il va régulariser quelques travailleur·ses dans les « métiers en tension ». Ne nous y trompons pas : l’objectif est de contraindre les migrant·es à occuper des emplois pénibles et à bas salaires. D’ailleurs ce nouveau titre de séjour, de un à quatre ans, est précaire. Si le métier n’est plus « en tension », l’OQTF tomberait de nouveau ! La loi Darmanin répond en fait aux intérêts du capitalisme en triant les travailleuses et travailleurs, pour en priver une partie de droits et de libertés.
La loi introduit un titre de séjour « talent » pour faire venir des médecins, des infirmier·es… en privant ainsi les pays pauvres… mais avec des statuts précaires et moins payés.
Le comble : la loi prétend supprimer des aides sociales aux étranger·es en situation irrégulière, alors qu’ils n’en touchent pas. Ce mensonge sert juste à accréditer l’idée que les étranger·es viennent en France « pour les allocs », confortant les fantasmes de l’extrême droite ! Cette loi, et d’autres encore, divise les travailleuses et travailleurs entre français et étranger·es, et contribue à la fascisation de notre société.

Can someone please tell spain and the people living there that it is not normal to stay inside with your winter coat and shoes on and be cold when outside are 10 degrees? In Romania we stay in a tshirt inside when outside there are -10 degrees or less.
INSULATION! That's the difference Spain!
It is amazing to me how Spain, and other tribes too, waste so much energy and people feel uncomfortable too, just because they do not insulate their houses. We have put carpets in the entire house here in Spain, use a gas heater in the day time or go on the terrace if it is sunny since it is much warmer than inside, and have fluffy clothes designed for the winter that we use inside. And still it is COLD and uncomfortable!
It is insane. Inside humidity is being created and thus a lot of mold. We have to clean and paint.... It is a disaster Spain!
Overall a massive waste of energy and a lot of discomfort.
I understand your perspective Tio, but it is crucial to avoid generalisations about an entire country based on your personal experience on the Girona coast. Spain is diverse, with significant climatic variations between regions. In addition, preferences and practices in climate management can differ considerably.
It is true that in some areas, such as the Girona coast, the climate is more temperate compared to colder places such as Romania. This can influence people's heating habits and needs. Rather than assuming that the experience in Girona reflects the reality of the whole country, it would be more accurate to recognise the climatic and cultural diversity of Spain.
Personally I think that sometimes it would be better to let that frustration out by talking face to face with a person, a friend possibly. I say stupid things a lot of times because I need to discharge my frustration but I don't post it on the internet.
For one, this post is not meant to be taken that seriously. It is a simple rant after 10+ years of living in Spain under these conditions and hearing everyone complain about it, from many areas around Spain. So that's what the post is, a simple rant based on my experience.
Second, what made me post about it (and I should have linked to that because I cannot find the post anymore) was a popular reddit post where someone was asking why is it so cold inside the houses in Spain, why aren't them insulated. And I was reading through the comments and seen how many complain about that. I think there were thousands of comments there.
So I suspect, from my experience, that this is the case overall in Spain. But is nothing that serious. If I were that serious I would have look at studies/statistics to learn more about that.
It is beyond ridiculous to read on well known and popular spanish news websites that it is recommended to buy an electric blanket or use candles to make yourself warm in Spain :)).
