"Evernote Alternative Notesnook is Now Open Source" news.itsfoss.com/notesnook-goe…
So? Still a freemium app. Like thousands of others. So many companies use "open source" software to sell their services, promoting the notion of trade even further.
From the article:
"Similar to Standard Notes, you can use it for free or opt for the premium plan to unlock a few more perks."
No this is a lure-in standard market approach, providing a samplesize product to then get people to buy their "pro-bro" subscriptions. People always fall for these and mix them up with what is FREE software, from a trading perspective.
Want a properly free (trade-free) notes taking app? Let me recommend you a few:

Plenty of options, people! And so many of them are really feature-rich.
As long as I'll live and be interested in software, I will point out to this BS of "free" that is not "free", but purely a marketing scheme!
