I don't remember last time a system update broke my Arch system. It is true I use TROMjaro that is based on Manjaro Stable. So yeah....that's great. Everything is stable and works smoothly. My laptop is open and doing things 24h every single day. I only reboot it when the kernel or the graphics card gets an update. Linux works. And, at least when it comes to TROMjaro, is damn easy to use.
By the way I was thinking to start a series of videos about properly testing Linux distros. Not like: oh the wallpaper is niceee.... But to test several important and testable aspects of each such as: see if you can open the 5 most common file types for videos, files, images, audio. Test to see if you can find a wide variety of apps from the get-go and how easy it is to install them. Is the system supporting flatpaks and appimages too? Test the theme consistency: install a gtk, gtk + libadwaita, qt, and flatpak app and see if the system theme is respected. See if the system provides you with ways to tweak things like your webcam settings, touchpad and mouse buttons, RGB lights.
I would like to make such a series of videos. Maybe I will open a new channel on PeerTube all about this and do it in my spare time.
