I moved from the facebooks/twitters/youtubes world to the fediverse (friendica + peertube) a year or so ago. People think that the fedivrse is a weird place or an empty one. It is neither. But you have to give it some time. Make friends, follow interesting projects, block the weirdos. Now my Friendica is an interesting place to scroll through from time to time.

Nice to see many people here. You have chosen a better path my friends! Let's keep it growing!

Do you recommend any particular public servers for Friendica that cater to the technologically challenged?
in reply to Steve Bosserman

Great! If you need any help with anything let me know.

If I post to you like this via Mastodon will it also show up as a message to you on Friendica?

Do you have any previous or current academic / institutional affiliations that I can refer to as I check out ways that you and Sasha might move forward?
in reply to Steve Bosserman

None....I am not even sure what that means to be honest.

Maybe the best way to explain it is to offer an example of how someone who believes in principles somewhat similar to yours does it: Tibi Brastaviceanu https://www.sensorica.co/affiliates/tibi. Tibi, co-founder of SENSORICA https://www.sensorica.co/home, is gifted in building working relationships with folks from universities, government agencies, and non-governmental organizations who share his vision and collectively garner the resources to take on "open value network" https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Open_value_network projects.

I have bookmarked this comment in Friendica. So that I can have a deeper look when I have more time. Thank you very much!

I'm sure I will, so thanks in advance.
