If you do not trust yet another boss to boss you around and tell you what you are allowed to do or not on the platform, and you are not skilled to create your own instance, then I and others provide managed instances. Basically you pay a monthly fee and have your own instance. I do this so I can support the 30+ free projects like tromsite.com or trom.tf.
So via webape.site I provide such a service.
Lately more people want a Mastodon instance but I also provide Friendica, Peertube or other such platforms. Mostly thanks to @YunoHost .
Choices folks. Join the millions on the fediverse. Forget about these for-profit (trade-based) platforms like Twitter, Facebook or Youtube.

I set up a new friendica site with yunohost today, but I'm having trouble adding contacts that need to approve request manually.
When I first registered here in August this year, I seemed to have the same problem. However, I have since found that this issue has been resolved on this site. It seems that your site is also built with yunohost. Do you happen to know any clues on how to solve this problem? Thank you very much!
