I got my money back from Contabo (kinda). I had to submit an abuse report from their website...about their website :D - to get a reply...they sent me the money to my "contabo account" whatever the hell that is. I think is like your "credits" there that you can only use to buy contabo services. I asked them to refund to my bank account. I was again not made aware of this entire thing. I had to contact them aggressively to get any sort of reply.

Point is: Contabo has the shittiest customer/technical support that I've ever seen. I've read that before, but didn't realize how shitty it is until I had to deal with it. On top of it, they only have robots and zombies employed so you can't talk to anyone in case, say, they ask you to remove some files or URLs and you know it is not fair/legal....they will not care. They give you 12h to do it, else they will remove your account.

Yeah....don't use Contabo. I regret recommending them. I only did that because they are super cheap.

We are looking at strato.de for an alternative. Even cheaper...still n Germany...idk if I should trust these ones either....
