How to certify (homologate) your solar panels in Spain
This is what took me to "certify" my solar panels in Spain. Homologacion.
- Contact a Homoloacion company in Spain. I used normacar.com/ for Catalonie.
- Send them what they ask you for - usually photos with the things you want to homologate and some personal details.
- It takes 1-2 weeks to finish the papers. They will send them to you as PDF via email.
- Print the papers and go to an iTV center and ask for an appointment to send the papers to DGT.
- After the papers are sent to DGT via the ITV center, ask for an appointment with the engineer at the ITV to finalize the certification.
- You have to go to the ITV and have the wizard engineer take a few photos with your camper and you are done.
Costs around 220€ for the first step of making the homologation papers, and some 50-80€ for these ITV inspections and taxes.
