Look, if I trigger anyone then I am not doing it intentionally nor do I want to harm anyone, but there are no genes that make one gay, straight, a pedophile, or any way in terms of sexuality (or behavior in general). There are none. And we should embrace that. Humans are complex, and whatever they like to fuck or identify with, does not have to have a genetic basis. Many people like video games, some like science, some call themselves nerds, or whatever. We agree there are no genes for these, yet we accept them and celebrate and enjoy.
If we were part of a sane society we would not even have a debate about what makes one gay, is it nature or nurture!? Who. The. Fuck. Cares!? Honestly...whatever the answer is, why is it important? What can we do with that information and why do we even ask that question?
But I would not accept pseudoscience. Regardless if I harm some feelings, science for me is the ultimate truth. And should be so for anyone. If we did not discover any gay/straight genes so far, then we should accept that and move on.
That being said, humans should do whatever they want to with lives and their self image.

I think he stumbled upon one important point towards the end of that video. The most fucked up thing is that there are people in our society who wants to take away other's freedom, and sometimes they use scientific data as a weapon. This is a big problem and should be talked about, because we should be able to do scientific research without it being used for the oppression of others.
And I know Tio you are not one of those people, you don't care what other people do with their lives and understand that they have the freedom to be who they want. I wish more people were like this, instead of trying to change people to your liking you can just accept them as who they are.
And there is this dumb argument that being gay and such is not OK because its not "natural". This is probably one of the dumbest craziest ideas I've ever heard, lol. We do a fuck ton of th

And there is this dumb argument that being gay and such is not OK because its not "natural". This is probably one of the dumbest craziest ideas I've ever heard, lol. We do a fuck ton of things in our daily lives that are not natural, we drive cars, brush our teeth, takes pictures and videos, post them on the internet, etc. In fact, if you think about it, most of the things you do in your life are unnatural, can you see any other animals doing the same things that we humans do ? And if you look at this so called "nature" you'll find a lot of horrible things there like some animals raping others and stuff, so is it OK for someone to rape others because its "natural" (ie, seen in nature). This idea is so crazy that I think its dangerous.
The real question you should be asking is if something contains violence/harm. Anyone in their right mind knows that raping someone is a violent act. Two consenting adults having sex is not violent or harmful, and the gender/sex of the people involved is irrelevant here. I can understand why people have a problem with pedophiles because kids can be easily coerced and manipulated, it cannot be considered as consent if someone is too young to even understand what it means, the adult here definitely has more power and control over the kid so it cannot be considered proper consent, and the chance of violence is very high. Imagine this scenario, your boss is asking you for sexual favors in exchange for a promotion. Here whether you choose to do it or not, it cannot be considered proper consent because in this case the boss definitely has more power and control over you, and they're using that power to coerce you into doing what they want.

For everyone reading this message I also wanna make it clear that I don't follow ben shapiro, I just stumbled upon that video when I was searching for something related to astrophysics on youtube, anyway I knew Neil is an awesome science guy so I clicked on the video, didn't even know who the interviewer was at the time. This is not that important, but I don't want people to mistake me for a right wing fanboy, lol 😂
