I see on my fediverse newsfeed that so many people mention apple and a new iphone release. Is that time of the year (of half a year?), ha!?
Both apple and the people getting sucked into this retardation, are victims of a trade-based society that went berserk. Toasters with touchscreens, that's the society we live in. And humans call them choices and variety. Idiocracy 3.0. Cars with a different paint, chocolates in different shapes. Bless you humans, you are the laughingstock of the universe.
EDIT: If their official presentation ytb.trom.tf/watch?v=FT3ODSg1GF… does not feel like a parody to you, then something is wrong with you.

Satellite whatever functionality is barely useful for a rare bunch of cases, for a tiny/minuscule amount of people who probably use proper equipment if they are so adventurous, not rely on apple.
I still have my samsung galaxy s7 with that fancy detector for your heartbeat and oxygen levels in your blood. My doctor told me to shove it up my ass because is not useful in any way.
Companies, like any merchant, try to sell new models and add features that are not useful, or very rarely used if ever, just to sell more shit...

... show moreLooking at the comment section of that video I don't think you're the only one who thinks like this, and apple have disabled the comment section in their official video so it must be pretty bad there too. I don't think there's anything practical or useful about the new iPhone. It was actually pretty hilarious to see them come up with these imaginary scenarios where it could be useful, a professional film maker shooting an action sequence and using iPhone instead of an actual camera, LMAO 🤣
The only people who use phones to make videos like that are probably small content creators from developing contries who can't afford a camera, but even these people would be using a budget smartphone, not the crazy-expensive iPhone.
And I also don't care about the new and improved display, these things make more sense on a TV, not on a tiny mobile screen where I can't even tell the difference.
The safety features like car crash detection can be useful, but I'd rather have so

The safety features like car crash detection can be useful, but I'd rather have something like this built into the car itself, or maybe a device we can attach to cars is much better than relying on the mobile phones in our pocket to detect crashes. Then the satellite communication, when's the last time you've been in a place where there was no signal? Its funny how in the promo video they show us 2 people literally lost in the deserts, inventing imaginary scenarios where their product could be useful. I'm pretty sure there are specific devices made for situations like this, if you're adventurous and is worried about getting lost in a desert then I recommend buying one of those, its probably cheaper too 😄
It was pretty cringe to see these people in the promo video trying to make it seem like a revolutionary technology, there's just nothing revolutionary about it, its just like any other smartphone.

About that car crash safety feature...I think they just wanted some BANG for their video promo. Is there any research to show that such a system can save people's lives? If that was the case cars would have have this a long time ago. Like what data does it transmit and to where?? That weakly built iphone would disintegrate into a car crash anyway....gimmick!
In TROM II I made a compilation with such stupid things to show how there is no innovation...just eggs with wigs. Same shit, different paint. And they add these gimmick "features" because they need to sell more of their shit so they have to invent useless features...
Predictable...
