I'm on a 3 year plan to be free of Google, Amazon, Microsoft, Meta, and Apple. The first 80% of it is easy, my cell phone is the real hurdle...but Linux has been a great replacement of Windows so far. I'm not going to deny that going with the tech flow is the most convenient path, but I don't think that makes it the best path.
