@Tips and Help (social.trom.tf) I had some questions. Does this node maintain a blacklist? I've compared them with my account in an Akkoma node, and a few profiles appear to be outdated in here. Is this an internal or external problem? I hope I'm understood.

Now you can follow people on Twitter and interact with them from social.trom.tf. In theory you should also be able to post on Twitter, however from my tests it did not work.
In any case, this is a way for you to give up the trade-based ad-network that is Twitter, and use the trade-free social network social.trom.tf 😀.

Facebook:
You can follow public pages/profiles/groups. To do that, we need to grab the RSS of those. Use our https://rss.trom.tf/ tool for the job. Here's step by step:
Go to the Facebook page/profile/group you want to follow. Copy the ID (name). For example for our TROM Facebook page (that we don't really use) the url is: https://www.facebook.com/tromproject/ so the page name is "tromproject". Make sure you copy it exactly as it is in the url (with capital letters if there are any).
Go to https://rss.trom.tf/ and search for Facebook. You should see this (select Main Site):
Click "show more" and you'll have this simple block that is self explanatory:
Paste the Facebook ID into the proper form, and click HTML. Now you will see a new page with the RSS feed of that Facebook ID, as such:
Lastly, right click the MRSS button, then "Copy link location" (so you can copy the link of that button), and then paste it again into your contacts (2) as you did for any other contact.
All of this is a very fast and simple process in fact: grab a Facebook page/profile/group ID (name), create an RSS feed using our rss.trom.tf, and copy the MRSS link into your contacts. Done!
It is the same exact process for Twitter, Youtube, and pretty much any website that is not friendly enough to easily provide an RSS feed.
Therefore, using https://social.trom.tf/ + https://rss.trom.tf/ you can interact and follow pretty much anyone online, without having an account on Facebook, Twitter, Youtube, or even Peertube and the like. Take advantage of it!
Hello!, do you know how to publish something that stays only in local community? I don't see my settings working right with my RSS sources and they appear in Global too.
Hi. I am not sure I understand. If you want to add an RSS source as your contact then you can also hide it from anyone. If you want to make a profile not display in Global, then in your settings - Account you can choose that. I think it is in Privacy...
When you make a News page that auto posts from an RSS source, the way Friendica works is by pulling a bunch of the latest posts form the RSS, and jamming that into the newsfeed :D - I know is not pleasant but is just for the first time you add it. Then it will calm down and only display the new posts.
@Xavier Dole So the video works to be previewed https://peertube.stream/w/ii8znyGMrtroFG7Ps3DDke if you create a post with it. By preview I mean it extracts the thumbnail and title and description but you'll have to click and watch it on peertube.
If you added the channels as a contact and the output is just text then I can investigate further.
Go to Settings - Display - Content/Layout and enable (mark) the "stay local". This option will make it so that when you click someone's name, it won't kick off our platform, it will display that user's posts and profile in a native/local way, on social.trom.tf. It is overall a better experience for all users.
