Rebecca's Sprite (Archibasis rebeccae) spotted in the Central Catchment Nature Reserve, Singapore on 16 June 2025. Spotted it fluttering in foliage at the side of the trail, and I had a lot of trouble getting into positions to get shots. After posting it on iNaturalist, it was IDed as Rebecca's Sprite, a rare and endangered species. So, good that I decided to get shots. :-)

The image shows a white garment, possibly a hat or a head covering, packaged in a clear plastic bag. The bag is sealed, with the top edge slightly open, revealing the item inside. The garment has a rounded shape with two black circular elements that resemble eyes, suggesting it might be a novelty item or costume accessory. The plastic bag is placed on a wooden surface, which appears to be a table or countertop, with visible wood grain patterns. The lighting in the image is soft and diffused, casting gentle shadows on the surface. The background is slightly blurred, with hints of other objects, but the focus remains on the packaged item.

Do not use Premier Inn. I booked (it was a rush, don't ask), a 3-bed room in Cardiff. Here's what they sold me. Here's what I got. Despite a long argument, all they will offer is a 19% refund. Their reason? "Room size and set up can vary based on the hotel and the number of guests."

A few days ago I spent a little bit of time looking at #PeerTube, to see if it can replace YouTube yet.
I tried and failed to set up an instance on my own server, because it doesn't have enough RAM to keep up with transcoding.
I made an account on cuddly.tube: @christianp@cuddly.tube, and had a go at live streaming there but I don't think it kept up. I also uploaded a short video: cuddly.tube/w/sMqkvBnzeLk1UtY4….

Are there any PeerTube instances that can reliably live stream? I don't mind paying my way in.

(to answer the inevitable question from mathstodon.xyz people: I *could* set up a PeerTube instance linked to mathstodon, but I want to be sure about how much work it is before seriously considering that)
