40 people are donating so far, and hopefully little by little we can achieve this goal. This way we put very little toll on individual donors and make TROM more sustainable, and not rich :).

Our Peertube instance videos.trom.tf is not for advertising your company and products. Several people tried to take advantage of our instance that accepts science/tech videos in English by uploading promotional videos for their tech-company. No more! All removed!
We will have to focus a lot more on inviting proper creators that are in line with our TROM project. We need to grow our Peertube instance and the Peertube ecosystem in general. This is going to be a long journey, but how else can we move away from the giant companies that own the Internet!?

The fact that humans have weapons that are meant to kill their own kind, is a sign of primitivism. It is a sign of a failed society. Regardless if they even use them or not.
If we cannot solve conflicts within our human society without killing other humans, then we are a failure. That, in a situation in which we have more than enough resources to provide everyone with whatever they need and most of what they want.
Shame on humans!

Actually S. had a lot of issues donating since his Mastercard refused the donation. After weeks of trying to figure out what is the issue he finally went to the bank and asked to allow for European payments. And then it all worked fine.
A few people tried to donate to our campaign using Mastercards and the donations failed. Now we know why. Some banks refuse these sorts of payments. If you can, please go talk to your bank to unblock these payments.

@PeerTube we have released our documentary exclusively on Peertube and only there, in June. It is 5 hours long, 4 parts, and we worked 3 years to make it. @PeerTube has released a new major version of their video platform software framablog.org/2023/11/28/peert… - these people are amazing and are making Peertube the best video platform software in the world.
We will try to get new creators to our instance videos.trom.tf from now on, because what we lack is content. Everyone flocks to Youtube because "everyone is there" and youtube allows them to make money off of their videos (a very bad incentive). Even the people who complain about how there is no online privacy anymore, and hate ads and data collection (basically hate these online trades and their side effects), are still in a bondage relationship with these monsters. They are enslaved to them. But they and us, have to find the willpower to ditch the old world and create the new one, be it online or offline.
Be brave people, have the guts, and prioritize Peertube over Youtube! Else we cannot change anything....

We recently released a 5 hours documentary exclusively on Peertube. See videos.trom.tf/w/p/fVpfZ9VfWrW… . The diskspace is quite cheap nowadays plus you can host it locally on your computer via Yunohost. We run Peertube plus several other services (nextcloud, matrix, and so forth) via trom.tf with around 40 Euros a month for unlimited bandwidth and some 4TB of SSD storage. We have thousands of videos on our Peertube instance and overall thousands of people use our services
Therefore it is quite achievable.
