Plurality, Natality, and the Promise of Education
Education is often presented as the transmission of knowledge. Yet Hannah Arendt’s ideas of plurality and natality point us toward a richer promise.
Plurality reminds us that education always involves the meeting of diverse perspectives. Natality highlights that each new generation brings the possibility of new beginnings. Together they suggest that education is not only about continuity but also about creating conditions for renewal.
In a time when digital platforms and institutional pressures often move us toward uniformity, how can online learning preserve openness to plurality and to the unexpected promise of renewal?

Institution, Technology, and the Reproduction of Society
Education is not only the transmission of knowledge. It is always involved in the reproduction of society. Institutions decide what counts as knowledge and how it is valued. Technology extends this process, reinforcing institutional logics but also opening new possibilities for change.
In my latest blog post, I draw on the work of Cornelius Castoriadis to explore how digital learning technologies mediate between reproduction and transformation. The key question is whether these technologies serve mainly to reproduce existing institutional patterns, or whether they can also create genuine spaces for collective imagination.

Taking a break. - videos.trom.tf/w/e3sKwg2A4E5Vm…
Last stops before we took a break: La Torre de Cabdella and Castellar de n’ Hug. Wonderful places. But we had to then take a break, make some money, so that we can continue our adventures. We were lucky to come across 2 wonderful motorhome parking places right before our adventure ended. See you with new videos soon! 😃

Working from the motorhome on TROMjaro while watching a documentary on a projector, just like I used to do back in the days in my room :D
So cool I made the motorhome so comfy :).
Planning to release a new TROMjaro ISO tomorrow. And then to focus on writing for the TROM video Series.
I've spent a week here:
Now I am still in the mountains but a different place with a nice view:
Trying to reboot myself and TROM :) - so far so good. Excited to try and make a video series.
I live with very little money, maybe 500 Euros a month everything included (food, fuel, internet...). I have an old projector, a 260 Euros second hand thinkpad, and a Pixel 6a with Graphene OS that Aaron gave me :). And I love living cheap and with less.
Thats a way to get detached bit by bit from the trade society.

in reply to Tio • • •It's good you have a remote for it, maybe you could've shown it in the video I'm curious how it looks.
And yeah if you can connect via an app then it uses Bluetooth I assume, unless you have an IR blaster on your phone.
