I think I fixed the laptop's trackpad finally. I updated my blog post tiotrom.com/2023/01/why-i-am-k… see the very last update at the bottom. Basically I had to solder a piece of wire from the trackpad to a screw on the laptop. Scary thing to do but so far the trackpad works wonders. And it's been 3 days of many hours of use.

Fuck you Dell for selling these laptops with a fucked up trackpad for the past 2-3 years and not fixing it.
