Trade makes the CEO, just like a Monopoly player, maximize his or the company's profits at all costs. If that means treating the employees poorly, so be it. Endless examples of that.

"he pushes to prioritize speed to security, again belittling the engineers' concerns about that." To quote you. Why he does that? Trade. He needs to make more money for the company and using AI is useful for that purpose.

I wasn't really replying about the trade aspect, but about the reason why users where unhappy.

I generally agree with what you have in mind about "trade". Though "trade" is a very broad word, and not intrinsically negative. We trade with people everyday. I can trade a favour from a dear friend with a favour to them from me. Or trade something I don't need but someone else needs with something they don't need but I do. So, as I see it, trade can also happen with empathy and love.

What you mean, I would maybe call it "commerce". But maybe that isn't the right word either...

I understand and I agree, this is why when this comes up I always say I mean trade inside our society - the marketplace. The need to trade in order to make it in this world. I explained in detail in the book from the post. Mutually agreed favors can be ok, for sure. But a company is not that, or a job, etc.. They are forced exchanged with consequences.

So the need to trade and the fact that trade is at the core of our society and you cannot do without, is the problem. That is what I mean. I hope I made it more clear.
