we make people work by threatening them with poverty, that's why its called wage slavery. Oh, and this doesn't apply to unpaid work like volunteering, so you gotta have a "job" where you trade or you're fucked. Well actually you don't even need to work much at all if you can trade some other way like through investments, so in the end it's not even about making people work but it's about making them trade and sell more consumerist shit to others, and destroy our environment in the process.
