Often these products are pointless. Like the example above. A classic fan vs a "modern" one that costs 50 times more. Despite this, the classic fan is better at....well...cooling you down. And yet, these nonsense products are advertised as better.
As long as we live in this trade based society we will be flooded by such nonsense. Wasted resources. Pointless products. Wasted lives in the end. Both for those making them, and those using them.
