It is extremely unlikely that anyone has the time to finish any subtitles for the documentary in a week or so, before we release it. But I think it is totally fine to release the documentary together with proper english captions plus full transcriptions, so that after the release anyone can jump in to create subtitles.

We will make sure to have everything well organized in order for anyone to get involved collaboratively. Unfortunately we cannot find a proper collaborative tool for subtitling that is trade-free, so we will probably use amara.org.

We can say with certainty that the documentary will be fully released the next week. But we do not know the exact day.

Just to make this clear for people, English subtitles will be there for the documentary, the post is talking about subtitles in other languages for which the translation process takes a lot of time.
