Do you remember why you left #X / #Twitter? 1/2
I remember first learning about mastodon and other federated media from other people's tweets announcing their #twittermigration. That's why I'm here now, it's a better model, and I want to be part of the early days of a better web.
But now I think back, I can't remember which of #elonmusk 's actions were the last straw for me.. maybe his treatment of his employees? What about you?

FYI: Stay away from Breaking The Chains. They are a scam operation with no vet experience in treating animals, and they steal funds.
The Sulala Animal Rescue in Gaza stopped dealing with them, mid-Genocide, as they are stealing funds and not helping with any expenses.
Sulala has been operating in Gaza for over 20 years.

The provincial government has interfered with free collective bargaining again—this time suspending the right to strike for education support workers at Edmonton Public Schools after they voted 97% in favour of job action.

The Alberta Minister of Jobs, Economy and Trade is, again, using an obscure piece of the Alberta Labour Code to restrict the right of education support workers to take job action by imposing a Disputes Inquiry Board (DIB) on CUPE Local 3550.jjohnson (CUPE Alberta)

Sérgio lives on the edge of Brazil’s Atlantic Forest – a crucial but often overlooked ecosystem compared to the Amazon. Like much of the land in Brazil, Sérgio’s property had once been cleared of trees to make space for cattle grazing. Realizing that he can make a difference, Sérgio decided to restore the forest in his own backyard.
Fast forward 10 years and Sérgio has planted more than 11,000 trees.
Thanks to the Ecosia community and our local partner, Instituto Espinaço, he hasn’t only restored his own land, but also brought life back to a small piece of Brazil’s forgotten forest.
