Good morning Fedi friends!

I know this is not the right place to ask for this but I'm in need of a Jiminy Cricket / voice of reason to talk me out of something I am sooo tempted to do:

1) buy a new domain name (to be fair it would be a good move to secure it, can't explain why till I do)

2) set up my own Sharkey instance with it (no need for this whatsoever except that I'm impossibly smitten with it)... to use this as a private little instance to interact with friends / contacts.

I can't get Sharkey out of my mind, help ๐Ÿ˜†โ€‹

Well it's finally Friday! About damned time! Yikes this week has been.... ๐Ÿ”ฅ๐Ÿ”ฅ๐Ÿ”ฅ๐Ÿ”ฅ๐Ÿ”ฅ๐Ÿ”ฅ and not in a good or sexy way. I need to get up and exercise because I'm hitting the road early for the country then going into the city to teach. Afterward I'm going to do a bunch of bloodwork so we can see how trashed my kidneys and other things are. After that I may have to come home, eat junk and finish this Cleopatra book in the blanket fort. But none of this can happen until I get off my fat ass, and this is truly unfortunate because on my fat ass is where I want to stay. Anyway, whining aside, I hope everyone has an awesome start to their weekend! I'm off to exercise. ๐Ÿ’ช๐Ÿ™„

Finished The Annual Ghost Town Pumpkin Festival and I love this game SO much!!! ๐ŸŽƒ

It's a perfect mix of creativity (you can carve your own pumpkin and share it in the world!), exploration, jumping puzzles, and meaty puzzle-solving. It's fun, funny, atmospheric... just a perfect pick-me-up for October!

And it's free! The multiplayer servers will be up for another few weeks, before it closes until 2026. I recommend you give it a go!

We, Eva and I, worked hard today to get my gardens a bit more in shape/get rid of most of the weeds... We worked hard, and laying the fabric was challenging as it was rather windy... But I think we did a rather good job! Now... I'm dead ๐Ÿ˜‚.

Help needed-I feel like a newbie. This is the recipe and I got it a week ago after 2 people I follow made it. But of course after I got the link to the Sweet Chipotle Chili recipe I promptly forgot who helped me. @TheJen or @Waitnwallflower maybe? My questions are 2 here, see photos. Could not find pork shoulder roast boneless anywhere so I got the pork loin roast boneless in second photo, hoping it will work.

Unsure though. And how the heck do I dice up a whole pork roast? Do I sorta cut out all the fat and somehow cut up as small as I can the pieces? I have everything now but Iโ€™ll have to go to a different store to get red lentils and fish sauce. Iโ€™m guessing since they are listed ingredients, they may be important. Help?

@davepolaschek If anyone told me Iโ€™d dice up a whole roast of any kind, I would have assured them itโ€™s something Iโ€™d never do. BUT 2 people I follow here recommended this chili so Iโ€™m motivated. And Iโ€™ve gotten help on the technique I need! Thanks Dave!

Pork shoulder is also called pork butt. It has a lot of fat and it's perfect for slow cooking pulled pork. Don't cut out the fat. It's what makes the flavor. I've never seen a recipe for pork chili; should be interesting.

I was hoping that the wisteria would be fully in flower before we leave, but itโ€™s been cool/cold & cloudy for the last few days.

Update

Still green, with just a few white flowers visible, and the first leaves. Iโ€™ve seen it in full leaf in summer, but not in flower.

Sorry for the late Toot. Well, it's not really late, but I was up earlier, so it feels a bit late to me. ๐Ÿ˜Š

I just got back from the gym. Rode the bike for a bit, enjoyed a massage in the chair... Now I'm wearing my two thumb braces to give my thumbs some rest, as they'll need to do some hard work later today.

If all goes as planned, my bestie will come over this morning and we'll be trying to tackle my front garden so it will look less messy. ๐Ÿ˜Š And hopefully the weeds fabric that I got will prevent the stupid green stuff from coming back too soon. I would love to be able to get some fake grass to cover the weeds fabric with, but that's on the "to-do" list as it means buying stuff again.

Well, I guess I'd better get to writing my journal Toot in a bit. And try to relax a little as today will be a busy day with some hard work ahead.
