Ello sweet, lovely, and maybe also sporty Friendos
It's wet again this morning... So, when I finally finished my *very long* journal Toot, I got to the treadmill again. I have upped the speed a wee bit, to see how my leg would do.
The speed (3,8kmh) isn't too bad, it I do notice the 2% incline more now. So after ten minutes with the incline, I'll set it to 0 and just try to maintain the speed for now.
Both seem important enough for my recovery, but I did get some incline walking in at the gym.
On the other hand, I changed the incline and it was still hard for me to keep up. Guess I'll be at 3,6kmh for the rest of the walk.
I was hoping to get half an hour in, let's just see how my body handles that...
I know I need to improve slowly, it my ADHD isn't keen on going slow π

Journal β Week 36, September 2025
A busy enough week. I started visiting the gym again, and I was looking for the best time to get up during the night and to be at the gym. I also wanted to keep my walks goingβ¦ On Tuesday I had my physio again, which was rather welcome. Wednesday β¦. Om Thursday, first mum and I went to Germany and then I had to go to Nijmegen city center to pick up two laptops that I had ordered for dad (and me). Friday morning I receieved a text with the time of the βbed removalβ. After the bed was taken out, some sweet neighbors helped me to get the couch back into the living room. During the weekend, I tried to get my exercises in during the night and early morning, so I could enjoy some co-op gaming during the rest of the day. Sunday evening ended with a blood moon/eclipse.
2-weeks prediction of the weather in Herpen. Some warmer days, but also some wet ones⦠A normal start of autumn, with some sun, some rain, and not too cold weather (yet).
Quick links to the days of the week: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday & Sunday.
Monday
My alarm went, I turned it off (and not on snooze π€¦πΌ) and I pulled up my legs to start my back exercises before I wanted to get up. When I got up, I was so confused, as the clock showed that it was an hour later than Iβd set the alarm. Right? π€
I went to the scale, took my meds, and got dressed. I grabbed my bag and wobbled to Skoosh. We went to the gym. I played on my phone a bit and managed to get my shoes switched. I was a bit worried about that, as I donβt have my helping thingies with me at the gym. I got to βactionβ and rode for 30 minutes on the seated bike.
It felt a bit weird, as Iβd not used my muscles like this for a while now. But with the backrest I was able to sit properly and I managed a half hour on low and slow speed. I wrote a bit for my journal Toot while I was riding.
I checked my health score thingies, and for my sleep score, I got 80, which was βgoodβ. My energy score got to βgoodβ as well, with 79 points. It said it showed that I was doing well, and I could lead the day with my energy and be proud of myself.
After the half hour, I went back to the chairs, changed my shoes, and when I was relaxed enough, I wobbled back to Skoosh. There still werenβt any good parking spots available, thanks municipality for taking them all and not providing enough available ones now (there will be more, but they arenβt working on the bit that needs to be done now, so who knows how long weβll still be in this mess? Grrrβ¦ π ).
I got home and I went upstairs for a while. I worked on my blog, adding text and images to my journal post. When I had almost finished my post, I saved it and went back down again. I switched my shoes and headed out for a short walk. I had updated my Ingress game (https://ingress.com/) and made a new account so I could start fresh. In the little bit that I walked, there werenβt too many points where I could do some things. And, to be honest, I kinda forgot some bits of how to play, so I needed to get back into it as well. I played a little and then I finished my journal Toot that I was still working on.
I had some brekky when I got back. Then I updated my journal blog post some more, before I went to the home trainer to ride it for 10k, which took me about 26 minutes. I relaxed a bit after that, and then the weather cleared up a bit, so I headed out for a second walk. Just as I got back, I saw the neighbor with B and I gave B all the cuddles. I decided to walk along with them for their walk, so when I finally got back home again, I was a tad tired. But, I also had a good and longer walk, so I could take it a bit easier for the rest of the day.
Dad got up and texted me. I got the info I needed to order the laptops that I found. Dad wanted two new laptops, not too expensive, one for him and one for me. He had some wishes and with that, I was able to find one (samsung.com/nl/computers/galaxβ¦) that was suitable and within the fund limits. I was glad to have been able to find these, and they had a sale going as well. As dad wanted to have a LAN connection, and many modern (simple) laptops donβt support the port anymore. So to find one with all he asked for within the price rangeβ¦ Yay meβ¦ I ordered all that dad asked me to, and weβll head out to the store on Thursday afternoon to pick it all up.
I tried to relax a bit, and then I started to work on some other new blog posts. I made my warm food, and after that, I headed out for one more walk. There was a parcel coming in the afternoon, so I could not head out after this walk. I used my tablet and kept writing for my blog. My parcel came, I got ready for bed and all that, and when I put away the tablet, I had 3 more posts done for this week. And the journal post was done as well, so all was ready for some good sleep.
I got as comfy as possible and grabbed my eReader. It didnβt take too long to doze off. Unfortunately, I did wake up a few times during the night, and I had some night sweats as well. But, I woke up around 1:40, so 20 minutes before my alarm was set to go offβ¦ Ready to start a new day.
Tuesday
I had a restless night, where I woke up almost every hour or so. π Around 1:40 I woke up again and as it was almost alarm time, I decided to get up and started.
My sleep score came in at 74, βfairβ. My energy score gave me a 72. I know it may hate me soon, if I have more nights where I wake up before my 2am alarm. Itβs very silly about which hours one should be sleeping, even when you have this whole routine that works for you.
I got to the scale. I took my meds and got dressed. Prepped the gym bag and headed to Skoosh. Itβs still so weird not to be walking with Arwen first, after getting dressedβ¦ π’
I drove to the Basic-Fit and enjoyed the protein shake. Carefully switched my shoes, as I didnβt have the shoe help here. But it went well. I only rode the seated bike for half an hour again, just like yesterday. Butβ¦ When I got off, I didnβt feel the tingling that I felt before the surgeries π€π» maybe..?
After the ride, I got ready to head home again. Back home, I went upstairs and I worked a bit on my blog. I took down the laundry, as it was dry, and took it downstairs with me. The bedroom had gotten a bit messy, so I cleaned up some things and then I tidied away the clothes and all.
I browsed a bit for a decent bag for the new laptop to be. I have a good bag for my old one, but I donβt want to ditch that one just yet, and I do want the new one to be protected. I found one that I could afford that could also hold the tablet and my keyboard and mouse. So I could stash it away safely together. Earliest delivery was on Thursday, but Iβd be in Nijmegen (and Germany) then, so I set it to Friday. Need to be home anyway due to the picking up of the bed.
I got a notification that my crystal lasered pendant should arrive today. But⦠No time yet. I got my headphones and put on my other shoes, and went out for a walk. Played a wee bit of Ingress along the way.
When I got back, I headed upstairs again and I rode the bike for half an hour. While I was riding, bestie called me, and we had a nice chat. After the call, I made myself some brekky. Then, I got the little gas tanks that I had for Skoosh, and I got those into her.
I wrote a bit for my blog while also playing with the BT mouse. For some reason, it would connect and work on a first pairing, but after being shut off, it would connect butβ¦ It would not workβ¦ π€
I went out for another walk, had a bit of food, and then I got ready to head to physical therapy. My neck and shoulders were very painful, so some TLC would definitely be welcome. I arrived in time and we had a good session. It felt painful but also gave me some relief.
On the way back home, I stopped at Lidl for some groceries. Then I headed back home. DHL had emailed me at 11:24 that theyβd deliver between 11:30-14:15. Yeah that didnβt give me any time to ask a neighborβ¦ π I saw that we have a parcel safe in town now, so I decided to have it delivered there. I should be able to pick my parcel up sometime tomorrowβ¦ π€π» I really hope it turned out nicely! π
I went on a walk again, during which I emailed a sweet friend. When I got back, I made myself some food, and then I relaxed. I was rather tired, so after some time, I just changed clothes and took my meds, and got ready for bed. It didnβt take too long to fall asleep.
I woke up a few times, but around 0:30, I was wide awake and got up. Started the new βdayβ a little earlierβ¦
Hump day / Wednesday
I had fallen asleep a tad early. I had woken up a few times during the night, feeling achy and sweaty (my age perhaps? π€). When I woke up again around midnight I was wide awake. I scrolled on my phone for a while and then I got ready to start my day a little earlier than planned.
Because I didnβt sleep between 12-2, my sleep score was rather low this time, with only 74. But it was also because I had only slept around 6 hours tonightβ¦ My energy score was even lower, as it depends more on the time that you are asleep. Somehow you canβt change your sleeping pattern hours in the energy score bit, and if you donβt sleep between 12-2, as I mentioned, your sleep score goes down a lot. I only got a score of 57, saying my sleep was getting in danger. Well, I did have a bad night, but stillβ¦ Iβve had worseβ¦
Scale, meds, getting dressed. Got to Skoosh and we headed to the gym. As my PT had said what I was and wasnβt allowed to do, I just started with the seated bike again. Then, I went to the treadmill. I felt a bit wobbly, like my right leg is a bit shorter than the left one. π€ I must ask my PT about this on Tuesday. I walked at 2,5kmh with a 2% incline for 0,25km. Then without the incline for 50 meters. It felt weird but also satisfying, in a way. Then I used the hip abductor (pushing the knees outward) on the lowest setting, for a wee bit, which went better than I expected. I almost wanted to add more weight, but I remembered the PTβs warning and I didnβt.
Then I got ready to head back home again. Back home, I changed my clothes and headed upstairs. I worked on my blog for a while. Got back down, where I wrote some bits on my tablet. After some writing and some telly, I got ready to head out for a walk. I played a little Ingress and managed to walk a bit further. When I got back, I made me some brekky.
After the food, I went upstairs and I rode my home trainer for half an hour. During that time, bestie called me and we had a nice chat while she rode to her work. I was a bit tired of the walk and riding, so I watched some telly on bed. When I was a tad more rested, and the weather seemed to improve a little, I decided to head out for another walk.
After the walk, I was eagerly waiting for an update from DHL. They would deliver my pendant parcel to the parcel dispenser safe in town today. I was hoping theyβd do it early, so I could walk to the supermarket (where the safe is) and retrieve it. I never used it before, so I hoped that it would be as easy as they said. But first, I needed an email with the code.
As it was dry, I went to Skoosh, who fortunately was parked behind the house, and I took out the special dog protection cover. I still need to hoover the car, but I need to be a bit more βbendyβ to be able to do that. Maybe, if the weather is good enough, I will visit the car wash before PT next week and then get the hoover through it as well. It was a bit emotional to get the cover out. It felt like I was βgetting rid ofβ Arwen from Skoosh. I still have her ball in my car and I wonβt take that out. I tried to get most of the sand out, I shook out the cover, and then I headed back inside.
I fixed some food, watched some telly, and tried to relax a bit. Around noon, I got the notification. Slipped on my shoes and headed to the store. It was a bit of a longer walk, as it was about 1km to the store, and then back again. So I was hoping that I could manage itβ¦ I got to the safe, didnβt figure out how to scan the QR I got, so I manually added the code. Got a sweet little box out of it, and then I started my walk back.
All went well, fortunately. When I got home, I unpacked the box and found a beautiful pendant. It really looked wonderful. It was heavier than I thought, so I need to get used to wearing the weight, and I wonβt wear it everywhere, as I am scared something may happen to it. But yeah, I loved it! I tried to take a snap of it to share with some family and friends. I got a tad emotional because of it, so I spent some time sobbing and such. And then I got very tired, so I tried to relax with some telly. I had managed to get to 10k steps, and I had done some exercises, so I felt good about myself. Tired and a bit sore, but good.
After some telly I decided I would change my clothes, take my meds, get my eReader and just read until I would doze off. I fell asleep rather soon/early, around 16:11, or so my watch told me. But then, I was very tired, so I guess it was for the best⦠I woke up twice during the night for the loo. Around 0:42 I got up and started my day, as I felt rested enough now. My watch told me I had slept a little over 8 hours, so that was a good thing. Ready to start my new day.
Thursday
I woke up a few times during the night and then I got up around 0:45. A little early, but I was wide awake so I best start my day.
According to the watch, I slept about 8 hours in total. My sleep score was at 89, so not too shabby. My energy score was low, at 59, as my βrhythm was offβ. As I mentioned yesterday, if you donβt sleep between 23-2, my watch will take off points because it thinks youβre disrupting your sleep routine. You canβt change that for folks that are doing better on a different time scheduleβ¦ π€
I got up and went to the scale. It showed me the same weight as the previous day. I took my meds, got dressed, and got ready to head to the gym. When I saw the moon shining rather beautifully, I got teary eyed. I thought about my grandma. But also, all the nights where I walked with Arwen and where I took snaps of the moon π during those SniffiVerseβ’ walkiesβ¦
I got to the gym safe and sound and dried my eyes and headed in. As I was scrolling a bit on Masto, my stomach started to cramp. Damn! Not hereβ¦ Not nowβ¦ π Of course there were several people still around, some of whom would use the ladies roomβ¦ Full of shame, I headed to the furthest, smallest, loo and did my terrible thingβ¦ π«£ Ugh! Thatβs always the downside for me, coming back from vacation where I enjoyed (white) buns. It always affects my bowels. The joys of IBS. π
After that, I headed to the seated bike. I rode on a low level at a slow speed for half an hour. Then I headed to the treadmill. I walked in it for ten minutes, most of it at 2,8kmh with a 2% incline. I still feel like I wobble, like my right leg seems shorter than the left one. Maybe itβs true, maybe it has to do with my muscles? I definitely need to ask my PT next Tuesday. After the walk, I used the massage chair for ten minutes and then I got ready to head home again.
I changed my clothes and then headed upstairs to work on my blog a bit. After that I relaxed with some telly. Around 5:30 I tried to quietly pack Skoosh with my recycling cans and bottles. A short walk after that before I got into Skoosh and I headed to Nijmegen.
The streets were less busy than I thought, so I was at my parents too early, even though I had filled up Skoosh at the gas station. While mum was getting ready, bestie called me, so I had a chat with her while waiting for mum.
makertube.net/w/r8s48umTqsBkWjβ¦
When mum was finally ready, we headed towards Kleve. First Penny, where we tried to get the recycling β»οΈ bits handed in. Unfortunately, they didnβt accept it all, so we were left with a few bits. Still, not having been there for a while made it that we got β¬50 for all the bottles and cans! That goes into the βpuppy saving tinβ πΎ.
We managed the other groceries we needed, so we headed back to Nijmegen. Two stores there to visit. But at the Appie, I got a very painful entrance. The gate closed a tad fast and rather hard, and of course it smashed against the most painful bit of my leg. π’ So after some pain and tears, mum and I told a worker there, as mum also got the gate smashed against herβ¦ Of course this didnβt take away the ouchies, so I hobbled through the store, trying to get back on track.
We got back to my parentβs house and I helped unpack the car and bags. When mum was ready with her bits and bops, we headed to the small woods with Bas. It was a bit hard for me to be there, as some of the last snaps of Arwen were made there. π’ But the walk was nice, although a tad sore.
After the walk, dad wasnβt up yet, and I didnβt have the time nor the energy to wait too long. So mum and I gathered the needed things to head to the cityβs center to pick up the two laptops for dad and meβ¦ We couldnβt park at the usual spot, unfortunately, so we had to park in a further away location which was also more expensive. But the pickup went well, payment went OK, and before we knew it, we were heading back to Skoosh again.
When we got back, dad was up. So I handed him the bag with his laptop and mouse. After that I gathered my groceries and laptop and packed up Skoosh to head back home. Fortunately, βmy spotβ was still free, so I could easily park behind the house and get my stuff inside.
I fixed some food and then I unpacked the laptop. Slowly started to install things and bits and such. But I was rather tired, so after a while I just gave up and got ready to head to bed. My leg was very sore and I needed some extra meds to be able to lay down properly so I could relax and be able to fall asleep.
I didnβt wake up too often during the night, and in the end, I woke up at 2 when the alarm went off. I had slept for about 9 hours! Which was a long time for meβ¦ Ready to start the night π.
Friday
I had a loooong night! Itβs been quite some time since I slept that long and well. According to my watch I slept for 9 hours, as I went to bed a bit early, and the alarm woke me up. I did wake a few times for the loo, but usually was able to doze off again shortly after that. My sleep score was at 91, so that was rather well. Of course my energy score was lower, at 66.
I headed to the scale, which was kind to me. I took my meds and then I got dressed and ready to head to the gym. It was a good drive. I enjoyed my protein shake and some social media, and then I got ready to ride the seated bike.
I rode it for 30 minutes and then headed to the treadmill for ten minutes. Of course my watch gave me a distance that was too low, even though the steps seemed OK for the real distance walked. The previous watch asked me more often to calibrate the distance on the treadmill, but DuckDuck hasnβt been able to help me to find a way to manually trigger the calibration. I wish Samsung would just let the watch ask after every treadmill walk. π
I changed my shoes and headed back home. Changed my clothes. Instead of going upstairs, I sat on the bed with my laptop and tried to get some more settings and updates done so I could use the laptop for my blog and suchβ¦ I tried an hour to open the Flickr page on my laptop. I tried all the settings and security things and it didnβt want to work. I got rather frustrated, so well, I asked ChatGPTβ¦ It gave me a list of things to try. The first two, Iβd done. The third one was new to me. I tried it andβ¦ It worked! I was so relieved to finally be able to access my images, as I use them for my blogβ¦ π
I edited the update to my journal post and then I decided to go out for a walk. The laptop was busy with some updates, so it could work on that while I got some steps in. When I got back, I started cleaning up some things, as later today, they would be coming to take the bed away. And then my neighbors would come to help me with my couch. I cleaned up all I could and then got upstairs to ride my home trainer for half an hour.
During the ride, bestie called on her way to work. We had a nice chat as I was riding. Then I went back downstairs again to work a bit on the laptop again. Get it better hooked up with my phone. Will need to match it with my tablet later on. I know I need to properly dust the bits and bops in the house. Hopefully Iβll get to that soonβ¦ π
I cleaned up some of the bits and bops that I had been using next to the bed. But seeing they were going to pick up the bed today, I needed everything cleared out. When I had not heard anything between 8-8:30, when they told me they would text me the time slot for the bed, I waited a bit longer. Around 8:45, I sent them a WhatsApp message, because I did want/need to know when to expect them. After a bit a got a reply, they would come between 8-12. Seeing it was almost 9, I quickly finished the last things to have everything in order. I let my neighbors now and then, the wait started.
I played some more with my laptop, adding some software and personalizing it some more. Then, I saw a big truck pull up, which wasnβt easy for them. The construction workers had been making noise in front of the house for several hours now, giving me a big headache and making a huge muddy mess. They were nagging to the people from the bed, because they were working there. I heard one of the guys reply with: weβre working too, and we need to get a heavy bed in the back of this vanβ¦ So in the end, they were βallowedβ to park, but the workers were very cranky (yeah, so was I, stupid noise and still no clean roads and enough parking spotsβ¦ π ).
The quickly took the bed apart and took it to the truck. The little shower crutch went along as well. I texted my neighbors that I would be hoovering and setting things ready, so they would be in and out quickly for the couch. I hoovered as best as I could and then I set the bits ready so it would just be the big part that needed to be taken to the living room. The doorbell rang, and I got my parcel with the bag for the laptop and tablet. Now I could safely store and take them with me. yay! As my neighbors were busy with some things, I decided to make some food, as I was getting hungry a bit. Just before my food was ready, the neighbors came.
They had the couch in place rather quickly. Yay for that. I gave them the little painted stone I had gotten for them while on vacation, as a little thank you for their help and support. Then, they quickly headed back home, and I got things in order here.
I ate my food and then I felt like I should head outside for my walk, as I had been indoors for some time now. But I felt a tad sad and found it hard to go outside. So, I dusted off the treadmill and tried a little walk on that. I managed a 15-minute walk, where I reached 0,65km (although my watch only got to 0,45km, even though it measured me taking 1.277 stepsβ¦ π€ I relaxed a bit after that, making sure everything was set for my sleep later on.
I watched some telly and then I texted my neighbor N, to ask if B still needed walkies and if I could join. After some telly time, and trying to get comfy on the couch, my neighbor came and we went for a short walk with her dog. When we got back, I slowly prepared things for bed. I took my meds and put my gym bag and clothes ready. I was rather tired, but unsure if I would be able to sleep on my own bed, as my bruises were rather sore today.
After some more telly time, I went to bed and tried to sleep some. It wasnβt easy to get comfortable and it took some time to finally be able to doze off. I woke up a few times and had some weird dreams and night sweats. After some time, I was wide awake and decided to get up and start my night a little earlier.
Saturday
I didnβt have the best night, as it was broken up due to pain and weird dreams. I managed to get about 5:45, according to my watch, so not too much, especially when compared to yesterday. I did get a sleep score of 71, which wasnβt too bad, but still 20 points less than the previous night. My energy score was βfairβ at 66. The app still thinks that you need to be asleep during certain times of the day to get the best restβ¦ And yeah, my routine doesnβt do well with that. So I guess I wonβt get too many higher scores, just due to the βsleeping timeβ being distorted, according to Samsung Health. But well, I was up and not really interested in sleeping some more, so I got to the scale and I started my βdayβ.
After the scale, I got dressed, took my meds, and I got my things so I could head to the gym. I got there a bit early, so I just relaxed with my protein drink and went through the social media bits. After a bit, I felt like I was ready to get going, so I headed to the seated bike. I rode it on low settings for half an hour. Then I walked the treadmill for about 10 minutes with a slight incline, making it to 500 meters. I went to the leg abductor (the one where you press your legs outward) and I did several reps on low settings on that. After that, I switched my shoes and got ready to head home.
I switched my clothes and then I got my tablet to finish writing my journal toot. When that was done, I switched to my laptop, so I could add the journal text to my blog post as well. When I was done with the editing and all, I decided to head out for my walkies. I wanted to try to go a little further this time. I started the Ingress game and I went on my way. I managed a longer walk and I had some fun with the game. Though itβs still hard for me to go out on my own. I know she is with me, in my heart and memories, but itβs not the same as seeing that lovely wagging butt and tail gong forward in front of you.
To give you an idea, I shared this vid a while ago on PeerTube:
makertube.net/w/m19pN8TZ6J8HQBβ¦
When I got back, I fixed myself some food. When it had been enjoyed, and after a wee bit of procrastination, I headed upstairs for a half hour ride on the home trainer. After that, I started the washing machine and went out for a short walk. When I was almost back home, I saw N & B and asked to join them, after giving B some fluffy cuddles. We had a nice, slow walk, and B got all the sniffs. It was a nice way to get some extra steps in.
I got back and got the laundry from the machine to the rack. I had been charging the PlayStation controller and headphones so I could have a little gaming setting with a sweet friend. But I wanted to be sure that I had done enough of my exercises to be able to relax properly. So I went on the treadmill and I walked for 15 minutes, getting to 0,73 km. I just fixed a little bit of food when my friend texted she was almost ready.
So I booted the purple beast, let it download the No Manβs Sky update, and then I was able to log in and start the game with my friend. We got ready to start Expedition 19: Corvette. I had not really read up about it, so I went in blind and just went with the flowβ¦ There were a few silly bugs and all that. And we had to start building our own ship, the Corvette, with parts the game gave us and parts that we found. I am terrible at building, and I wasnβt sure what it all needed, so I just went for βfuglyβ and I threw some bits and bops together. It was quite fun, but I am rather sure that when I log in next, I will need to do an overhaul of the ship with all the available parts now, because itβs too messy to stay functional for all the extra things that need to be added for the milestones.
More info on the expedition can be found, among other places, here: destructoid.com/no-mans-sky-exβ¦
Well, we played a lot! During the gaming, I fixed myself some food, and I tried to keep making progress while also enjoying said food. Before we knew it, we had been online for about 6 hours! Whoopsie! I did finish the first phase, but I guess I need to make some changes to my fugly ship to make it better suitable for the rest of the phasesβ¦
I had already taken my meds, so I brushed my teeth, changed my clothes and got ready for bed. I found a way to be comfy enough to read, and while reading the second Hunger Games book, I drifted off and fell asleep.
I woke up a few times for the loo. And one of those times, when I walked to the loo, through the open bedroom door, I thought I saw the shadow of Arwen, lying on the ground. So of course I broke out in tears, and I needed a wee bit of time to calm down and get comfortable again. When I woke up again, my body let me know that it was done with being in bed. I had gotten about 7 hours of sleep, so I was hoping it would be enough to start my βdayβ bright-eyed and bushy tailed, as a sweet squirrelly friend would say.
Happy Sundog / Sunday
I had a wee better night, the second night in my own bed. Still, I woke before the alarm, but I had a total sleep of about 7 hours, or so my watch told me. My sleep score got to a whopping 76, and my energy score settled at 58. Yeah Samsung, I know, Iβm not normal, Iβm usually nocturnal π§π». Hihiβ¦
I got up, went to the scale, it didnβt like me too muchβ¦ I took my meds and got dressed. I packed my bag and grabbed my glasses, jacket, and keys as well, and I was on my way to Skoosh. There was a beautiful moon out, which is as almost full. And under its guidance, I got to the gym safe and sound.
I checked social media, switched my shoes, enjoyed my protein drink. Then I headed to the seated bike where I rode for half an hour. This was followed by a 15 minutes treadmill walk, where I managed to get to 0,83km. My pace had gone up a wee bit, yay, and I still walked with a 2% incline to trigger some of my leg muscles a bit better (on advice of PT). I headed to the strength section and I chose the seated leg curl. (cynnisblog.wordpress.com/2023/β¦ β hope the link worksβ¦). I tried the lowest setting, but that was just too light as I felt no resistance. So I got it to the second weight and that went better. After that, I enjoyed ten minutes in the massage chair before I changed my shoes and headed back home.
I changed clothes and got to the couch, where I grabbed the tablet to work on the journal Toot. When it was done, I got my laptop to edit the text into the blog post and add some images as well. After that, I got my headphones and phone, I started a walking activity on my watch, and I went out to try a longer walk while playing some Ingress. I managed to make some progress, and when I got back, the watch told me I had walked 2,38km in 37 minutes, so it wasnβt too bad at all.
But I was a tad tired, so I got to the couch with my brekky and some telly. After brekky, I wrote a bit for the Monday blog post as that wasnβt finished yet. Around 7 I was upstairs to ride the bike for half an hour.
When I got down, I started the dishwasher so it could do its job. After a bit of relaxing, I walked one more time, on the treadmill this time. I walked for 25 minutes and got to 1,38km. So not too bad. π
I enjoyed a light snack and after that, I logged in to No Manβs Sky on my purple beast. Time to work a bit on my fugly Corvette shipβ¦ My friend was running a bit late, as distractions were around and then an hour had come byβ¦ π I had worked a bit on my ship and then I started working on some more of the milestones of the different phases.
The game was buggy to say the least, but I guess after several years, it almost became one of its charmsβ¦ Almost! π Haha. My friend joined me and we both worked on some of the milestones. One of them was to βhitch a rideβ in someone elseβs Corvette. I think it took us about an hour to finally see each otherβs ships and to be able to enter them and travel alongβ¦ The bugs made it more challenging than it should have been in theoryβ¦ π€
Around 15 I logged off and went to bed early. I wanted to get up at 20 to hopefully catch some of the Blood Moon this evening. Unfortunately it took a while before I could fall asleep. I slept a few hours and woke up a bit after 19. I was very much awake, so I got up. As (civil) twilight was starting, I decided to go for a short walk to check if I could see the moon somewhere. No moonβ¦
Then the (nautical) twilight came and it got darker a lot. I went upstairs and checked the window that faces the west. And, just above the roof of the houses behind mine, part of the moon was visible. My phone struggled to get decent snaps, but I still tried. After a while, my leg didnβt like the standing anymore. I went down for a bit and about half an hour later I checked upstairs again. I had missed a bit of the eclipse, but managed to get a few more snaps.
I got back down again. Set the alarm, grabbed a blanket, and watched the Hunger Games on TV. I was able to fall asleep for a fee times, getting a few more hours of sleep. I felt rather good when I woke up again, but my phone didnβt agree π. I took my meds, got my stuff, and headed to the gym under a normal π full moonβ¦

Yesterday, it was a struggle to get Skoosh to the parking behind the house. This night it went well, as everyone was snoozing and all that... But I need to leave the house around 10:45 for physio, and return via Lidl at around 13:30.
The questions will be: is the parking still accessible then? And... Will there be space to park Skoosh?
Living in a construction area is a messy and noisy business with many frustrations... π And the way they are doing things here... π€ Well, my AuDHD brain does not see any working logic in it. At all... Things would not need to be so stressful if they'd be able to have followed a different schedule and, maybe, of they'd finish some bits before starting new things... It's like an unmedicated ADHD hyper person is bouncing here, wanting to start all things, and wondering why nothing gets really finished π (and why people that try to live here are getting rather cranky with it all).
Fingers crossed π€π» for the parking being open and free when I have to go, and for the parking still being open and free when I get back. Since I have no idea where to park Skoosh otherwise that doesn't require a long walk or a muddy mess... π

I really need to get to the PT today... And I would also love it if Skoosh could be safe near the house. π
Owww haha sorry! Skoosh is the name of my car, given to her by the folks of Fedi when I got her, due to her license plates. π
Hey there. I really don't like doing this, but things are getting rough financially and I could really use some help to keep things running.

Right now, server costs for esmBot, wetdry.world, and some other assorted things are around $120/month, but this has been growing steadily each month as heavier traffic limits have been put in place and the value of the US dollar has been slowly declining (my provider will only accept euro).
Additionally, I am having to pay nearly a combined $1k/month in rent and car payments, and this has been quickly draining my savings. It has reached the point where my bank account has a good chance of going into the red within the next month or two, and I really want to prevent that from happening.
Donations/tips are greatly appreciated, anything helps. I've started posting monthly updates regarding the development of esmBot on my Patreon linked above; however, if there's anything else you'd want to see from me on there or on Ko-fi, I'll see what I can provide.
Additionally, I am currently looking for work here in the states as a backend dev that can provide years of experience with Node.js (or most other server JS runtimes) and PostgreSQL/SQLite. Please message me if you happen to work for or know of a company that would potentially be interested; a resume can be provided on request directly to employers.

Arvo, Toots! In good news? The neighbour from hell, who has made our lives a misery for YEARS, is moving OUT! A few weeks ago he screamed at the bedroom window βYouβve made trouble for me, blah blah blah misfortuneβ¦β - no idea what he was on about, because of course, this household goes out of itβs way to have as little interaction as possible.
So far the move has taken a week, and heβs STILL dragging stuff out of the house and yard. Amazing just how much stuff is in there. There canβt have been room to move! So far there have been 6 cars leave on various trailers, but that hasnβt even touched the spare parts stacked around the yard. Really hoping heβll pull down all the illegal tin heβs screwed up to the fenceline as well, lol!

Good morning fellow Mastos and hello to a windy Tuesday morning at 4:44 in the AM. I'm awake and WiFi is pants again, but my photo managed to upload, eventually.
Today is the day we get the keys to our new home. MrsD is on a cleaning frenzy, but I rather suspect the sellers will have done it, they are that kind of people. We shall see.
Have yourselves a merry little Tuesday, have fun, have laughs. Take care.

If anyone is wondering why this song sounds a bit unpolished and not very tight, that's because it is unpolished, and not very tight.
After all, this is not the greatest song in the world. This is just a tribute.

Thoughtful, provocative, minimal and daring: John "Dgar" O'Hare wrote a song about another, perhaps just as famous, John.
It's a story as old as time, told in proper bardic fashion, and underlined with little else but military drums. It's a journey back to simpler times, when all we needed for a good recounting was a campfire, one or two instruments, and a group of friends. Perhaps some alcohol.
And what is it about? A dramatic tale of fleeing an oppressive system, to learn the really is a better way, a better place, which you can reach. A hard journey perhaps, not without drama and loss, but worth it, all the same.
All this is framed by O'Hares talented voice, certainly in a unique fashion.
My verdict: You simply MUST give this a listen. It is well worth your time. Perhaps some alcohol, too.

#GoodMorning and #TZAG everyone
Today and tomorrow are days with some appointments, so probably no time/energy to game. Hopefully I can make some more progress in No Man's Sky next Wednesday. Thursday and Friday there are appointments again. So then, it will be the weekend again... And maybe @Nio may join me then, if she's not too busy with getting smarter.
I'm slowly trying to get some more gaming in my life. And often I do enjoy it. π Sometimes I'm bummed that I have to go out, as being on the couch with a game can be more interesting at times. π
Ah well, let's see if I can find a new routine that suits me for the next few months, and try to include some gaming here and there...
Catch you all later!
