#Journal of a slightly relaxed Dutch Pixy (Sunday, 07/09/2025).

I had a wee better night, the secobd night in my own bed. Still, I woke before the alarm, but I had a total sleep of about 7 hours, or so my watch told me. My sleep score got to a whopping 76, and my energy score settled at 58. Yeah Samsung, I know, I'm not normal, I'm usually nocturnal 🧛🏻. Hihi...

I got up, went to the scale, it didn't like me too much... I took my meds and got dressed. I packed my bag and grabbed my glasses, jacket, and keys as well, and I was on my way to Skoosh. There was a beautiful moon out, which is as almost full. And under its guidance, I got to the gym safe and sound.

I checked social media, switched my shoes, enjoyed my protein drink. Then I headed to the seated bike where I rode for half an hour. This was followed by a 15 minutes treadmill walk, where I managed to get to 0,83km. My pace had gone up a wee bit, yay, and I still walked with a 2% incline to trigger some of my leg muscles a bit better (on advice of PT). I headed to the strength section and I chose the seated leg curl. (cynnisblog.wordpress.com/2023/… - hope the link works...). I tried the lowest setting, but that was just too light as I felt no resistance. So I got it to the second weight and that went better. After that, I enjoyed ten minutes in the massage chair before I changed my shoes and headed back home.

I changed clothes and got to the couch, where I grabbed the tablet to work on the journal Toot. When it was done, I got my laptop to edit the text into the blog post and add some images as well. After that, I got my headphones and phone, I started a walking activity on my watch, and I went out to try a longer walk while playing some Ingress. I managed to make some progress, and when I got back, the watch told me I had walked 2,38km in 37 minutes, so it wasn't too bad at all.

But I was a tad tired, so I got to the couch with my brekky and some telly. After brekky, I wrote a bit for the Monday blog post as that was wasn't finished yet. Around 7 I was upstairs to ride the bike for half an hour.

When I got down, I started the dishwasher so it could do its job. After a bit of relaxing, I walked one more time, on the treadmill this time. I walked for 25 minutes and got to 1,38km. So not too bad. 😊

I enjoyed a light snack and after that, I logged in to No Man's Sky on my purple beast. Time to work a bit on my fugly Corvette ship... My friend was running a bit late, as distractions were around and then an hour had come by... 😂 I had worked a bit on my ship and then I started working on some more of the milestones of the different phases.

The game was buggy to say the least, but I guess after several years, it almost became one of it's charms... Almost! 😉 Haha. My friend joined me and we both worked on some of the milestones. One of them was to "hitch a ride" in someone else's Corvette. I think it took us about an hour to finally see each other's ships and to be able to enter them and travel along... The bugs made it more challenging than it should have been in theory... 🤔

Around 15 I logged off and went to bed early. I wanted to get up at 20 to hopefully catch some of the Blood Moon this evening. Unfortunately it took a while before I could fall asleep. I slept a few hours and woke up a bit after 19. I was very much awake, so I got up. As (civil) twilight was starting, I decided to go for a short walk to check if I could see the moon somewhere. No moon..

Then the (nautical) twilight came and it got darker a lot. I went upstairs and checked the window that faces the west. And, just above the roof of the houses behind mine, part of the moon was visible. My phone struggled to get decent snaps, but I still tried. After a while, my leg didn't like the standing anymore. I went down for a bit and about half an hour later I checked upstairs again. I had missed a bit of the eclipse, but managed to get a few more snaps.

I got back down again. Set the alarm, grabbed a blanket, and watched the Hunger Games on TV. I was able to fall asleep for a fee times, getting a few more hours of sleep. I felt rather good when I woke up again, but my phone didn't agree 😂. I took my meds, got my stuff, and headed to the gym under a normal 🌕 full moon...

I forgot to send out (and write) my good night toot before I started my journal one. It was good to have the journal one done, as I've now almost finished the journal blog post for tomorrow. I'll only need the data of Samsung Health to add to the bottom of my post, as I usually do. 😊

I should be trying to write a quote post for Thursday, now that I'm relaxing on the couch. My little laptop is busy syncing the Journey diary app. I want to use the laptop to add older entries, ones that I did blog about, but that I forgot to enter in the app back then. It would be nice to have the info in the app as well. I pay a yearly fee to use it and so far, it's been a good app for me. I have tried to make some back-ups, but they feel incomplete, as I know that I still need to edit texts of older dates into it... 😔

I feel a bit bläh now, but that was to be expected, as I have been up during a part of the evening to try and witness the blood moon/eclipse.

I know I should go for a walk, but there is a "promise" of quite a bit of rain. So I should walk on the treadmill. Part of me wants to, part of me wants to just watch telly while the laptop is syncing... I know what would be best for me, but that'd not always what's easiest for me.

I'll just relax a bit longer, fix some brekky, and then hit the treadmill, I suppose... 😊 Lets do this...

Good morning Fellow Travellers around the Sun 🌞 I'm up early with the birds again today. Not the outside birds mind you, they are still sensibly tucked away in the dark 😊 When it's my turn for morning parrot duty I get up at 3:30, which I know is stupidly early, but it lets me read for an hour and wake up properly before I have to prep their breakfast. I wake them up at 5:00, so they get to sleep a wee bit longer. Toby is usually wide awake when I come down - sometimes I wonder if that boy ever sleeps as you can hear him during the night making noises and talking to himself - and Ziggy is quick to respond when the light is turned on. Jadie takes longer to rouse herself, but she is the elder of the Crew and enjoys a further little snooze at the back of her cage before breakfast 😊

I received a lovely certificate from the Scottish Air Ambulance yesterday to confirm my Dad's name on their new rescue helicopter. I'm glad his name will be on there as it flies around saving people. It's a fitting memorial. No doubt he would have had a Dad joke about it - The Flying Scotsman maybe 😊

Grant and I are planning a co-op BG3 session today, which will be the last "holiday" hurrah before I have to go back to work tomorrow. I think, despite his initial reservations, he's really getting into it. He was even talking about wanting to start his own single player campaign at some point.

Wow, I have been blethering away and still have loads of characters left. Amazing! 😁
