Diary of an AuDHD Squirrel. Day 679 , Saturday 06/09/2025

Saturday started at around 7am

Got breakfast, Mrs S was once again too impatient to wait for me, then afternoon my coffee did the chores.

Spent a couple of hours in Night City while Mrs S was out at her mums.

Turkey & pickle sandwiches for lunch then spent the afternoon catching up on Mrs S's TV shows.

Final Thoughts.

Not a bad day all things considered.

Thank you to all those who are helping me on this journey, in a myriad different ways. I am thankful to each & every one of you! 🫂 🫶🐿️🖖

I did thanks and am feeling better so far ...stomach has a gas issue .. but am eating different foods and could be why ...my sensitivity level must be sky high now and hope will normalize soon ...

This is Bass Rock, an island in the Firth of Forth. It is a volcanic plug, home to an excellent lighthouse and a large colony of gannets.

I sat watching it for quite a while. It was nice watching it slowly, but I kind of like it fast too.

Dairy-free friends, Reese’s Pieces have reformulated and the new bags of it will be dairy-free in the near future.

I haven’t found a bag of them in my area yet, but I’m so curious to try them if or when that changes in Canada.

Next time around they should make them vegan, too.

@APBBlue Yes, they do. The vast majority of mainstream chocolate does unless you’re buying something like a 100% dark chocolate bar.

So it is very exciting to find options that are safe to eat for me. :)

I made a rookie mistake today. I did not eat lunch before going to the barbecue. You may ask yourself why would you eat lunch before going to a barbecue… And I would bet dollars to donuts if you were asking, you do not require tactile communication! As I have yet to sprout additional arms, if I am eating, it means, I am not able to chat! So I didn't eat very much and I am now starving and with the discussion of pizza in my mentions, you guys know what's for dinner!

Need some advice, #Computer and #pc building Mastodon.

My PC keeps hitting 100% CPU... a lot. Temps were ok, but I've got the case open to dust and figured I'd redo my thermal goop while I'm at it.

The current processor is an i7 10070F 2.90ghz and honestly I can't tell what's good or not good anymore with processors. I miss the days when it was like "the Pentium 5 is better than the Pentium 4" and "150 is better than 120". Is my processor... good? For 2025?

I do a thing called chaining tasks. I do not know if I named it or that's what it was called if I got it from reading about it somewhere.

If I have a task to add/change I mentally pin it to another. Like brushing teeth and washing my face. The way my brain works they're one task now. It takes more mental effort for me to do just one than both together.

One of the keys seems to be not that they're similar themed tasks, but they're similar physical location tasks.

The issue arises, however; if I chain too many, because then it becomes too many steps and I get stuck unable to easily start the chain at all.

2 are easiest, 3 can be done, 4+ is where it gets prohibitive. Can't seem to attach chains in parallel either. Tryna figure out how to put chains on ... like a tree of sorts.

Whilst I have never heard of this phrase, so it might be your creation, I find I do the same. Not always consciously, but sometimes as more of a natural flow state. Go to do one job, whilst I'm there, realise that it means I can do another, which leads me to, oh, whilst I'm now in this room, I might as well do this.

Everything is terrible, but I had a very pretty bike ride.
