Looking out of a window from inside a dark room. The room itself is almost black, so the lit window fills the centre of the picture. A white lace curtain with a scalloped edge hangs across the upper third. On the wooden sill stand three potted plants, dark against the light: a small round-leaved one in a pale pot on the left, a bushy green plant in a square pot in the middle, and a spiky, arching plant in a terracotta pot on the right. Next to them lie a small flat tin and a bunch of keys, and a dark red glass bottle stands at the right edge. Outside there is a house with a brown tiled roof and pale walls, and behind it a green wooded hill rising into a soft, overcast white sky. The light is low, warm and quiet. 🪦 Who loves spooky graveyards? I shot these on repurposed x-ray film called "Bones" with my 1970s camera. Moody shots with grit, grunge and scratches, all from the raw film; these are NOT edited. These are scans of the real strips of film, right down to the rough, rounded sprocket holes!
