Celts just wanna have fun!

Ich habe eine #Keramik umgezeichnet. Das ist vmtl. ein Bild von einer Party vor 2.600 Jahren.

Eine Person mit einer #Harfe, und die anderen scheinen zu tanzen. Die #Fröhlichkeit, die von diesen Darstellungen durch die Zeit zu uns durchdringt, ist unglaublich schön.

Aber: Wie die #Musik, zu der so fröhlich getanzt 💃🕺 wurde, geklungen hat wissen wir nicht. Denn: Wir haben keine Noten 🎶aus dieser Zeit, und die Melodien sind lang verklungen:

June 1st Maurice Janssen defended his doctoral research at University Leiden on dating Medieval earthenware and proto-stoneware from Brunssum and Schinveld in the south of Limburg.

Olla update: I’ve had my #garden ollas in place for 2 weeks now and they are still half to 2/3 full of water. The seedlings around them have grown steadily. We’ve had light rain once in the last two weeks. The true test will be when temperatures start to soar, but so far this #irrigation method has been impressively easy & efficient. The black on this mug comes from terra sigillata made from a ball of manganese-rich New Mexico clay my friend gave me. After they’re done firing, I lightly sand the exterior of each mug with a fine-grain sandpaper. The handles become smooth and soft to the touch.

An artful, handmade mug by Osa Atoe. It is narrower at the top than at the bottom and is painted matte black and dark red with faded aqua accents. The handle is black, fluid and smooth. There is a white chevron band of decoration along the bottom.
