Those two dots marked with the arrows are the planets rotating around the Sun-like star in Musca constellation (other dots are background stars that also have been captured in the image).
Imagine that for a second.. There's absolutely another, but yet similar world somewhere out there in 310 light years away from us and we, Humans, have an opportunity to have a glimpse on it. This is truly mesmerizing if you think about it. What else we can achieve together in collaboration? What other mysteries and unimaginable worlds can be discovered? What varieties of the life forms and environments we can observe in the vast Universe?

I've been thinking about it recently.. We don't even need to go that far, look at our own solar system, for example. Take Venus, this completely weird world located not that far away from our home and yet so different. One day on it lasts around 243 Earth's days, a temperature of the surface can reach 464 degrees of Celcius and there are the rains.. made of the sulphuric, fucking, acid đ€Ż Of course it's deadly for us, Humans, but just imagine that it is our closest neighbour and it's so unhinged. And Jupiter, Neptune and Pluto.. all those moons.. all are so diverse! Incredible cosmos and yet so vicious world we live in, with so much of unnecesary suffering, wars, poverty and famine.. all for the sake of The Cult of Trade.
Despite the fact that humans have created so much misery, so much destruction, so many mountains of waste, and wasted so many brains for the past thousands of years, there is some hope in sight. But to understand and harness that hope, they must take a giant step back and look at their society from an alien perspective.
They have to let go of what they think is normal and try to undress the layered society they have created, to see the naked reality behind it all. Only then can hope be understood. Only then, the understanding of hope can become the bedrock for change.

Everyone flocks to Youtube because "everyone is there" and youtube allows them to make money off of their videos (a very bad incentive). Even the people who complain about how there is no online privacy anymore, and hate ads and data collection (basically hate these online trades and their side effects), are still in a bondage relationship with these monsters. They are enslaved to them. But they and us, have to find the willpower to ditch the old world and create the new one, be it online or offline.

Can someone please tell spain and the people living there that it is not normal to stay inside with your winter coat and shoes on and be cold when outside are 10 degrees? In Romania we stay in a tshirt inside when outside there are -10 degrees or less.
INSULATION! That's the difference Spain!
It is amazing to me how Spain, and other tribes too, waste so much energy and people feel uncomfortable too, just because they do not insulate their houses. We have put carpets in the entire house here in Spain, use a gas heater in the day time or go on the terrace if it is sunny since it is much warmer than inside, and have fluffy clothes designed for the winter that we use inside. And still it is COLD and uncomfortable!
It is insane. Inside humidity is being created and thus a lot of mold. We have to clean and paint.... It is a disaster Spain!
Overall a massive waste of energy and a lot of discomfort.
I understand your perspective Tio, but it is crucial to avoid generalisations about an entire country based on your personal experience on the Girona coast. Spain is diverse, with significant climatic variations between regions. In addition, preferences and practices in climate management can differ considerably.
It is true that in some areas, such as the Girona coast, the climate is more temperate compared to colder places such as Romania. This can influence people's heating habits and needs. Rather than assuming that the experience in Girona reflects the reality of the whole country, it would be more accurate to recognise the climatic and cultural diversity of Spain.
Personally I think that sometimes it would be better to let that frustration out by talking face to face with a person, a friend possibly. I say stupid things a lot of times because I need to discharge my frustration but I don't post it on the internet.

And I was reading through the comments and seen how many complain about that. I think there were thousands of comments there.
So I suspect, from my experience, that this is the case overall in Spain. But is nothing that serious. If I were that serious I would have look at studies/statistics to learn more about that.
It is beyond ridiculous to read on well known and popular spanish news websites that it is recommended to buy an electric blanket or use candles to make yourself warm in Spain :)).

Anyway, recently this movie Oppenheimer was released - about the Oppenheimer man. The scientist. His role in the understanding of these tiny creatures we call atoms and the quantum physics, but also his involvement in the creation of the atomic bomb.
Well....fucking boring as hell. I'd rather watch a documentary about that. But a movie....so silly....so all over the place. So confusing. So loooooooong. We had to stop it after 30-40 minutes and watch a documentary. A documentary about real things and with real people. Not "acting" people.
Anyway. I understand not all movies are made equal but considering this one was a "wow" popular movie praised by so many....I find it ridiculous overall.

But yeah, I think if people were to understand how awesome reality is, they would not watch movies anymore. The reality is billions of times more complex and mind blowing than any movie.
I haven't seen Oppenheimer but I feel like comparing movies to documentaries is like comparing songs to podcasts - like these things are made for entirely different purposes đ€· Anyway, I haven't seen any documentary or movie or series since my laptop screen started having pixel problems.

Your example is really exaggerated. Songs and podcasts are an entirely different thing. You are comparing a 3 minutes audio that is meant to make you dance or sing, with an hour long mouth-talking audio?
Movies and documentaries at times overlap like in the case of the above example which tries to "teach" you about that scientist. And overall their format is very similar in many regards. Stories that you follow. In that regards yes, I find movies (most of them) boring and useless. Reality is far more complex and interesting.
Yeah I knew my examples were kinda exaggerated but I couldn't think of a better one, the point is that movies and documentaries are made with a different purpose in mind, even tho they're kinda similar in a lot of ways and sometimes overlap. I also don't like most movies but I don't mind watching a few good ones from time to time đ€·
