Musk Was Once an Undocumented Immigrant in US?

With discussions resurfacing around Musk's immigration journey, Snopes reexamined claims regarding the entrepreneur's pathway to U.S. citizenship.

The people are being consumed by the so called "free" entertainment.

But it is not "free". It is dumb and trade-based. TikTok, Facebook, Youtube, Twitter and so forth mandate that you give them your data and attention (watch ads) in order to use their platforms. In return they give you access to a ton of dumbed down content.

Trading stupidity is much easier than trading well made content. Therefore stupidity evolves faster in a trade-based society.

To make a good researched video can take months, to make a dumbed down one can take minutes. To write a good book about real and important things, and research for it, takes months or years. To write bullshit fictional stories takes a lot less. Music, movies, articles, they are all under the influence of trade, allowing simplistic content to thrive while good one to barely breath.

It is this trade based society to be blamed for the vast majority of the destruction, suffering and idiocy we see worldwide.

Sea Sand Dredging

For over 20 years, Indonesia has banned the export of sea sand in an effort to preserve marine ecosystems and protect the livelihoods of coastal communities. However, Indonesian Trade Minister Zulkifli Hasan announced that as of October 8, two new regulations would go into effect that effectively lift the ban and allow sea sand dredging.

Thank you Jarrod for donating to our TROMhome project :) tromhome.com/ that was a surprise! tromhome.com/#fundraiser

Tomorrow I will make another video about it. Unfortunately the motorhome we thought we will buy these days has too many problems so we won't buy it... :/

Oh sorry to hear that man..... So the mechanic you gave it for testing let you know there are issues?

Copernicus Climate Bulletin

September 2024 was 1.54°C above the pre-industrial level globally, the second highest ever recorded (2023 was the highest). Note the graph shows year to date running average not individual months' records, which is a bit confusing.

September kept 2024 on track to be the warmest year on record, with the global average temperature anomaly for January-September 2024 0.71°C above the 1991-2020 average, which is 0.19°C warmer than the same period in 2023.

Better Banking

Better Banking is the next step in this year long alphabetical programme to become a more ethical citizen. The bank rundown is UK focused, but I know the main point.

Here in Canada, a few years ago the Canada Broadcasting Corp. did an expose of how banks pressure and bully employees to upsell and mislead customers. That alone should have been enough for everyone to quit dealing with them. They're all bad; and they all fund fossil fuels this being Canada, so there's little to choose. The answer is to go to credit unions.

I have opened an account with a federated (accredited nation-wide, this is a new thing) credit union with online banking, which suits my needs. Still have my old account as Canada doesn't seem to have such a neat way of switching over as described in the post. I'll gradually phase it out as I test out the new one to make sure I can do everything I need to. #ethicalconsumer
