"If I were a betting man I would bet that in five years it will keep on using the centralized DID Placeholder, and that that will be a root cause of a lot of shenanigans."
You don't even have to bet, because they just publicly gave up one of their core promises:

"And in the end, I believe that we don't need to do anything to be loved. We spend our lives trying to seem prettier, smarter. But I realized two things. Those who love us see us with their hearts and attribute qualities to us beyond beyond those we really have. And those who don't want to love us will never be satisfied with all our efforts. Yes, I really believe that it is important to leave our imperfections alone. They are precious to understand those who see us with the heart. "

Slotted Actions demonstration
Dr. Sybren shows how to work with Slotted Actions, a feature coming to Blender 4.4.
In older Blender versions, this animation would have been spread across three different Actions, but using slots it can all be neatly stored in one Action instead.

While of course they themselves would never live without these supposed needless things.
Read it in context here Need, Production and Division of Labor, this link is directly to the section the quote is from but in my opinion the formatting isn't as good.

He said a man should castrate himself, burn out his taste buds, make himself as blind and deaf as possible, and then the only thing he could enjoy was money.
