Good morning Fine Fedi Friends 💕 I'm up early with the parrots again today, but have been doing some online shopping, trying to get Toby some pomegranate as our local supermarket didn't have any yesterday and the boy does so love the stuff!

I only had a brief cuddle with Ziggy this morning as she was much more interested in breakfast than me. She's now sitting beak crunching happily under her preening arch, totally content 😊 Toby is still tucking into his food bowl, despite the lack of pomegranate seeds, and Jadie is fighting with a toy as per usual. The squeals of indignation that come from her cage as she gives her toys a good telling off is quite something to hear 😂 I often wonder if, with her being shut up in a grimy cage by herself for so long, she projected onto her few toys a parrot personality, just as people do with just about anything, even chatbots, and that she actually sees them as extensions of her flock.

Yesterday was successful. The loo is fixed and I have new doors ordered for installation in a few weeks. They cost a small fortune, but just about everything does these days. Best to get them done while I'm still working and able to pay them off.

It's co-op BG3 day today with Grognak and Ethera off on another quest, this time to take down some paladins for Karlach.

I had another long time in my bed. And I got another 9:15 (approx) of sleep in total again. My throat and nose were waking me up from time to time. Or a need of the loo... But I got quite some sleep, even a lot of deep sleep (for me, at least). I still feel bläh but I do think the extra bed time is helping me. But after some time, my body needs to be up and about a bit. 😊

If all goes well, my new Buds should arrive today and the others should be picked up tomorrow. I hope they won't come too late, only this time they're using DHL, and their time slots are known very late and not always accurate. As my garden is still divided by the big trench... I need to make sure to be aware when they come, as they can't really ring the doorbell... They did fix most of the street, but not all the way to the crossing, so it's not really available to use just yet... Maybe I can add a note to the delivery around the house and ask them there to come to the back gate. But it's a small box, and it's worth about €125, so I don't want them to "just" leave it there... I'll await the time update and then I'll see what the best thing to do is...

I've been watching more old fashioned DVDs 💿 as I've been re-watching "the Closer". There are 7 seasons but unfortunately, I only have 6 of them 😔. (although I just checked if there was a season 7 available somewhere, and I found an affordable second-hand one that I may have ordered... 😇 The ones I found on other sites were upwards of €35 excluding postage, the one I found was less than €12 with postage... Hope it won't disappoint me, but it would/will be good to have the series complete). With all the people using VOD (me too, I admit) these days, it's gotten harder to get (affordable) series and movies on disc. But there are a few that I would still like to add to my collection, to have series completed. 😊

Well, I guess I better see about writing my journal Toot in a bit. 😊 I wish I were feeling better again, and I do miss heading to the gym... I miss that part of my routine, even though my burnout didn't allow me to do too much at the gym just yet, it was my "daily outing" and it helps me to keep my motivation going.

I will have to see about getting some groceries though, as I wanted to go to Lidl today, before the physio. But of course there is no physio now, and I don't think it wise to head out to a store while I am still ill. I may have to ask a neighbor if they may head to a store and if they could get me some things, as I never could order enough to make it worth to have it delivered... (and with all I order online, I never have ordered groceries online...).

Thank you to all that are supporting me while I "suffer" with the stupid burnout and Covid19... Fingers crossed 🤞🏻 I'll start to feel better soon, as two days and nights of it have been long enough... catch you all later!

#Journal of a crappy Dutch Pixy (Monday, 13/10/2025).

I had a long night. I woke up more than usual, as my sinuses were blocking loads, my throat had to make noise from time to time, and my bladder had something to "say" about all the tea that I had been drinking... But, the long time in bed did result to me getting some extra sleep, which I obviously needed... I still felt crappy when I got up, but a little less exhausted nevertheless.

No gym... Weird... I was just used to it again after the long break due to all the surgeries... I did my usual things and then I got to the couch. I tried to catch up with social media, and I wrote my journal Toot. I had so many new notifications, it was a bit overwhelming. But, so many of them were sweet and supportive ones, so that really helped me to feel a bit better. 💜

I fixed some tea and I watched Madam Secretary for a while. I got my laptop, worked on my blog, and wrote a reply email to a sweet friend. After that, some more relaxing, and then I put on my shoes. I walked the treadmill for half an hour. No incline, at 4kmh, and it was a bit challenging. But I did it and in the end, it did feel good. Sort of. 😊

When I wanted to charge my Buds again, I got them to the case and I got a warning, saying they could not charge as they were dirty, or the case was dirty. 🤔 I checked everything, not a spec of dirt or sweat in sight. I tried several times and they kept giving me errors. I used the mighty Duck 🦆, and apparently it's something that happens enough to be mentioned on several sites... So yeah, I felt bummed once again, as they were just 3 days old (well, they had just been used for 3 days) and already there were issues. So, I had to exchange them for new ones. I found a way to have them sent back that would have the least human interaction. And I ordered the replacements. I was so down about it, as it was just another thing breaking down on me while I was already feeling crappy...

I went upstairs and I rode the bike for half an hour. Yay me! After that, I fixed myself some food. The construction folks were already making noises again. It looked like they were going to pave the street in front of my house today.

While food was being made, I contacted the heat pump person and let him know that the pressure went down a little again, to 1,8bar now... Ugh.. So something is leaking somewhere, as the pressure goes down. Not that fast since the big drop between Friday and Saturday, but it still seems to lose about 0,1bar every day... 😔

I tried to relax and I worked a little bit on a new blog post. I finished season 2 of the Closer and I got the discs for season 3 and 4, so I could watch some more... It was hard to focus on the series, as the construction folks had their radio on so loud, and it was placed right in front of my house for quite some time, as they were busy paving the street... Ugh... I just wanted some rest...

I had some soup. And then I had a coughing fit and well... The next time I had to blow my nose, it was red... Yeah... Tomato 🍅 soup had been enjoyed... But not for long... Ugh! I felt even more crappy now. And I had not heard anything about the pump saga just yet, so after my stomach had been emptied some due to those coughs, I decided to get to bed again. I watched a series on my phone, also to block out the radio sounds that were blasting through the closed windows...

After a while I dozed off and on again, so I put away the phone and tried to get all the sleep I could. I woke up quote a few times, as again, my sinuses were blocking up all the time, my throat needed to make noise every now and then, and of course I had some tea again...

I woke up a minute before my alarm was set to go off. I turned it off and started my "day". My watch showed me that I had about 9:15 of sleep in total, so another long sleep for me. I didn't feel any better yet, besides being a little less sleepy... So I got to the scale, got dressed, took my meds and moved my big behind to the couch to check my social media bits again while watching some more of the Closer. 😊

#Journal of a highly stressed Dutch Pixy (Tuesday, 07/10/2025).

I woke up from a decent enough night. The scale was being it's usual self. I got dressed, took my meds, and got ready to head to the gym.

I enjoyed my protein shake, checked social media, and then I got to the treadmill for 15 minutes. I followed it with a leg exercise and an arm exercise. After a massage in the chair, I got ready to head back home again.

Back home, I crashed on the couch. I wrote my journal Toot and just felt bläh. I managed to work on my blog a little. I tried to relax a bit too. I felt disappointed in myself again for not being able to "be my usual active self". I miss being that person, that enjoys exercise and feels better because of it...

Together with some AI help, I started making a new routine schedule that's focused on my needs, but also on what my body now needs to recover from the burnout. I know AI makes mistakes. But with the brain fog 😶‍🌫️ that I was experiencing, I was just so stuck. With it's help, I was able to take some steps that were too hard for me now, and from there... I was able to adjust it all and... I felt good when I got it finished! 😄

I finished my blog post for Wednesday, about autism burnout, including the schedule at the end. And then I had my brekky. After some more relaxing, I got to the treadmill. While walking, bestie called on her way to work. I managed to get a 45min/3k walk in, and that felt good. Yay me!

After the walk and call, I got to the shower and even managed to get myself feeling a bit better after that. So, even though it was a tough start, I felt like I was actually doing rather well. 😊 The noise from the construction 🚧 work was awful, as they were taking out the paving stones in front of the house...

I relaxed some more, as much as the noise allowed, even tried two minutes of box breathing... Then I had some food, and got ready to head to Cuijk. Unfortunately I got stuck behind a truck in the last 8km of the journey and well, it was doing 64 in an 80 zone... No way to overtake it so... Grumble grumble...

I got to Lidl, got the stuff I needed, put them in the cool box and headed to the physio. I was too early, but the one who had the current time slot wasn't coming, so... I got in and was done earlier. Yay. 😊

Got back home, had some food, finished a blog post and then... The wait began! The repair person would come between 13:30-17. Well, aroujd 17:30 I had enough! I filled out a complaint form, as they weren't reachable by phone (only till 16:30... 🤔) because I was just so triggered! I had gotten a text at 16:08 saying the person was on their way. No idea where from... No idea what the estimated time was. So after waiting half an hour longer, as autistic me is done when no one shows up within the promised time frame....

I was triggered. Anxious. Tired. Angry. Frustrated. And then, at 17:45, someone showed up! Unfortunately, all these emotions just came out... Poor guy! I felt a bad about it... 😢 And in the end... Yeah, someone needs to come and check for leaks... Well, 🤔 I thought that's what he came to do! I told them that in less than 3 days, the pressure was back to 0. So even I figured that there must be a leak! According to the guy, it happens occasionally... Yay, just my luck... 😔 I would be contacted about someone coming to check for leaks... He apologized for being late and I apologized for my breakdown on him....

I was so sad and frustrated... I got ready for bed. It took a while before I dozed off. When I woke up, I was feeling so cold! I turned on the electric blankie and before I knew it... I dozed off happily. But... Of course the blankie was still on. So I woke up again all warm, too warm... Turned it off and the slept until a few minutes before the alarm was set to go off. I got almost 6 hours of sleep and I felt like it wasn't too bad.

The scale wasn't too bad, and I got dressed and started my "day".
