On Monday, I got my Covid boost jab. In the afternoon, two friends were bringing their choccy galls. I would be doggy sitting for them for about 12 days, so they could go on a well deserved vacation. I was very anxious about this, both for emotional and physical reasons. Tuesday I had my physio appointment. And of course the first full day with the galls. Wednesday had no appointments, so it was mostly relaxing with the galls, and of course walkies with the galls as well… Thursday was a very long and busy day, followed by a short night. Fortunately, Friday was a day without appointments as well, so I had the chance to relax and enjoy my time with the galls. Even though it was also a hard day, cause it’s been 13 weeks and it still hurts like crazy… 😢The weekend, I tried to relax as much as the galls allowed me to, and I enjoyed a little bit of No Man’s Sky. On Sunday, I got joined by a sweet friend, which was a very welcome surprise.
Colder days, wet days (and nights as well), some (very) windy days and maybe a few warmer ones as well… This week promises a lot of different types of weather…
Quick links to the days of the week: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday & Sunday.
Monday
I had a broken night, where I woke up again several times due to my silly leg (and bladder). According to my watch, I got about 6½ hours of sleep in. I was hoping that this would be enough for the things on today’s schedule.
Went to the scale, which was a wee bit nicer to me this time. I got dressed and took my meds. I got ready to head to the gym. I walked to Skoosh and we set course to Basic-Fit.
I got there, switched my shoes, and enjoyed my protein shake while browsing social media. I got to the seated bike where I rode for half an hour. Then I got on the treadmill, where I did my best to practice my walking some more. I got to 2,19km, which wasn’t too bad at all. 😊 After a massage in the chair, I switched my shoes and I headed back home again.
I washed up and got changed. Got to the couch where I relaxed for a while, while I wrote my journal Toot. I updated my blog posts, and then I decided to get to the treadmill. I wanted to try a 45 minutes walk. No incline but a tad higher speed. I watched DS9 while I walked. At some point I felt like I was walking for quite a while… And then I noticed that my watch screen was not refreshing 🫣 and that’s how I ended up sweaty and a tad tired after 50 minutes of walking (and getting to 3,66km).

I got back to the couch and relaxed for a while, while playing a bit of No Man’s Sky. I tried to gather more pieces again for the newly added Corvette build options. When it was time to get ready to head to Berghem for my new Covid boosting jab, I saved the game, grabbed my bag and headphones, and hobbled to Skoosh.
It was easy to find, partially cause I followed some people that had their letters with them. I filled out the health form, got registered and was appointed a chair. A kind lady gave the shot quick and clean, and my 15 minutes of waiting began. I had brought my headphones, which came in handy as it got rather busy, so there were many voices in the area. After the time was up, I headed back home.
I prepared the house a bit, as this afternoon, two choccy galls would be brought to me. I would be doggy sitting them for about 12 days, so their owners could take a well deserved holiday. I knew the galls a little, but not that well. So I was getting rather anxious, as I hoped that all things I was used to with Arwen would also be good enough for them. Deep inside I knew I could do right enough by them, but there was also that past trauma present that kept telling me that I’d never be good enough… Past trauma sucks big time, and added tension to the anxiety. 😔

I wanted to make some soup. I tried to open the can, and the clip on the lid broke off. As I don’t have a van opener, I was glad to have a second can of soup, one that did open properly. After some soup, everything was as ready as I could make it for the galls. I tried to relax with some telly until it was time to wait for my friends and their galls.
I had given instructions to get to the best parking… But they ignored those and just followed Google 🤦🏼 so I waited at the parking while they parked somewhere they shouldn’t… 😔 I got to the house and got greeted madly by the two galls! Insane amount of energy, even from the ten-year-old!
They got inside and the galls checked out everything they could. We talked about their needs and wants. How I have to be careful with the oldest gall with walkies, as she doesn’t like other dogs, so she needs to be kept short then. They brought some toys, snacks and of course food. I got permission to allow them on the couch if I was sure, because they weren’t allowed on the couch at home. But I had prepared the couch with all the blankets. The galls found the crate, they found the doggy bed, heck they even tried the treadmill (it was off!) 😂.

My ex bf (one of the friends) wanted to see the rest of the house. It was good he did, because he found out that my heat pump had low pressure on both lines (see picture shared a little earlier). And I should get it taken care of, especially before I should need the heating. When they had left, I shared a picture of the pressure gauge meters and shared it in our street group app, because as it was low here, it could be low for others too.
One of the neighbors offered to help with one of the bits, the other one needs to be done by the company that does the service, so I need to call them. One of the other neighbors had the same issue, and they already called for the issue. I hope to call them on Tuesday, and maybe they can service mine the same day that they’re coming to my neighbors. 🤞🏻 So I’m very glad that my ex saw it. (he’s in the business and was curious to “my” installation).

I the mean time, I had walked a first round with the galls. And wow!! They have long lines (yeah I still don’t like those!) and they’re used to walking faster… So it was a learning curve for them and me. But! They got their sniffs in and did their things and seemed OK enough. When we got back, the were looking for their humans. I gave them some food and then one neighbor came by and he filled the one system that we are allowed to fill ourselves. I never would have been able to do that with my hands. I was very grateful for his help. 😊
I relaxed a wee bit and then walked one more short round with the galls before I got ready for bed. I had left one curtain open, so the dogs would have some more light in the strange room. I grabbed two snacks and then remembered I needed to take off my shoes. It was a challenge to get them off because the galls went nuts because they had smelled the snacks! 😂 I gave the snacks, closed the door and went to bed.
flic.kr/p/2rtDjKo
I woke up due to a bark! It startled me as I was not used to barking, except for Bas… I guess someone, probably with a dog, had passed the window. The galls went nuts when I went to the room to close the curtain. I gave them another little snack and went back to bed. I slept for a while and then… Barks! One of the galls has stuck her head around the curtain, little cheeckish devil. 😂 I tried to close the curtain properly again and then I slept till about ten minutes before the alarm was set to go off.
These galls have so much energy, as they almost bowled me over when I went to the room again. With many tail wags, and a few tears, I started my new “day”.
Tuesday
The first sleep with the two visiting galls meant I had a bit to learn. 😉 I had not shut the curtains all the way. And I found out that, probably Aimy, likes to bark when she sees something pass by. So I woke up by a bark, and I was a bit confused, until my brain remembered that there were two galls in my living room. 😂 I went inside and they went nuts with excitement. I closed the curtain, gave them a little snack and told them I needed a bit more sleep. A while later I woke up again from another bark. I went to the room again, they were happy again, and I saw that one of the little devils had pushed the curtain aside… I closed it further, gave another little snack, and was hoping for some more sleep.
I woke up about 10 minutes before the alarm was set. And even though I had two barks waking me up, I still felt rather OK. I went to the scale, it was nice again. 😊 I got dressed and then I threw myself in the frenzy of flying brown hair, aka the two galls! After so many years with Arwen, having these two bouncy idiots here, it does bring a smile to my face. But, it also brings a tear, as it does make me miss my own gall at times. The bond I had with her was so special, and somehow these girls trigger some memories. And while the memories are loving ones, that also what makes them a bit painful, because it makes me miss her again… 😢
flic.kr/p/2rtCSEW
I took my meds and then the girls and I went out for walkies. I got pulled out of my socks! Well, almost! These galls are so fast and strong and I’m still not the best with the flexi lines they have. After a short round, where they did their things, I got my bag and got ready to leave. They both got a snack, and almost took my fingers with them, and I left them to head to Skoosh.
It was a rather windy night and there was promise of more rain as well. I got to the gym, where I switched my shoes and enjoyed my protein drink while browsing the social media bits. When I got myself ready enough, I headed to the seated bike. I rode my half hour before I got to the treadmill. I walked for just 15 minutes (1km) as I knew that I needed to walk some more with the galls later on. And I wanted to have some energy for that. After the walk, I enjoyed a massage in the chair. Then I got ready to head back home again.
It was rather wet while I walked home, so I was glad for my umbrella. They are staring work on one side of our street now too, so it’s even messier than before… When I got home, the galls were very happy. I arranged their kibble and then I washed up and changed clothes. I relaxed for a bit, as much as the galls allowed. After about half an hour, I asked if they wanted walkies. To my “big surprise” they seemed rather interested. 😂
flic.kr/p/2rtzsZ6
I had to hassle the lines a lot as this was a new round with new sniffs. As much as I loved the SniffiVerse™ walkies with Arwen, the “relaxed feeling” I got of it with Arwen, well… Let’s just say I need to relax when we get back! They are wild and I think they react to the smells of the bunnies and hares in the area… Because I really have to be careful to not get dragged into bushes and across fields with these two.
The walk went as OK as could be. It wasn’t a too long walk I guess, compared to what they are probably used to… But for now, this was a safe round that I knew I could walk and I knew it offered enough places to sniff, pee and also poo. When we got back, the galls got a snack and I went to the couch to relax and write my journal Toot. The galls came to relax with me, which brought another few tears to my eyes. 🥲
I finished the journal Toot and I watched some telly. After a while, bestie called me while on her way to work, so we had a nice chat. After that, the galls got a bit restless, so I decided to walk with them, before everyone would be walking their dogs. Lotus isn’t good with other dogs, so I have to keep her close and away from others. And there are quite a few dogs in the neighborhood…
flic.kr/p/2rtFZhe
When we got back, I got my laptop out. I got my little table and realized, again, that if I can ever get a new couch, it would need to be a higher one. My old couch, one that lasted for 12½ years now, is a tad low and also showing some aging signs (the doggy plaids do help to cover up some bits). I want to try and save some money for a new couch, as well as saving for the new gall I hope to welcome next year. 😊
I worked a bit on my blog, until it was 9 and I could call the service company for the heat pump pressure thingie. I explained and told them a neighbor had the same issue, and they had made an appointment yesterday. She saw it in the system and added my address as the next one to visit that day, as they were in the neighborhood then anyway. 😉 So on the 29th they should come and fix the pressure bit. Hopefully that will help the system to work better again… Especially when colder days and nights are coming.
I finished my blog bits and then relaxed a bit more. Around 10, I got ready to take the galls out for a walk. That way, I knew they’d be OK while I was in Cuijk for my physio. The walk was a bit shorter than planned, as they had started taking out the stones at the other side of our street. So we got back a little bit earlier. Still, I gave the galls the snack to “watch the house” and I got my bag to head to Skoosh.
flic.kr/p/2rtShmK
I was fortunate to have gone a little earlier, as first, someone had crashed their older Volvo and it caused a traffic jam, as police were trying to lead the folks around the site of the accident, so they could remove what was left of the Volvo. Still, I arrived early at the physio. But… He had scheduled a half hour for calls before my appointment, and he gracefully switched it with my appointment. So I didn’t have to wait too long (which was good, cause then I’d be back for the galls in time again as well).
The physio did his best and made the muscles a little looser again. It was both painful but also brought some relief, which was very welcome. After the session was, unfortunately, over, Skoosh and I headed back home. Just after I parked, it started to rain hard enough to almost be able to shower in it! Yay for my umbrella in the car.
I got back to the galls, and they were very excited. I fixed myself dinner and enjoyed it. After that, I walked with the galls. Of course, while I was making dinner, the sun came out again, pretending it had not just been hiding for that incredible downpour that I walked through. But a dry walk with the galls was very welcome.
flic.kr/p/2rtScgf
We got back and I got them their kibble. Some relaxing with a bit of DS9 until it was time for the last little walk before bedtime.
I fell asleep rather easily, and when I woke up, I felt like it was almost time for my alarm… But there were still 3 hours left. So, after a wee, I went back to bed. Unfortunately, I didn’t get a relaxing second snooze and when I woke up again, it was still two hours until the alarm, but my body and mind just had to get up.
I got to the scale, which was kind, I dressed and then I started my new “day”.
Hump day / Wednesday
When I woke up the first time, I thought it was almost time for my alarm to go off. But nope, that was still 3 hours away. So after the loo, I headed back to bed. The next hour I had a not too good dream, so when I woke up again, I just decided to get up and start my day.
The scale was kind enough to me and I got dressed. The galls were very happy to see me again. After some cuddles, I took my meds and then we headed outside for a short walk. They did their things and we headed back home. I got my bag ready and gave the galls their snacks as I headed out the door.
flic.kr/p/2rtLCqy
The drive to the gym went well. I changed my shoes, enjoyed my protein shake, and caught up on some of the socials. Then, I headed to the seated bike. I rode it for half an hour. I wasn’t too motivated, for some reason, so it was hard to get me to the treadmill. I only walked for fifteen minutes, in which I did one km, as I knew I’d be walking more later today with the galls. After a massage in a chair, I switched my shoes and headed back home again.
Again I was greeted by two bouncy choccies. I gave them their food and washed up and changed clothes. After about half an hour, the galls and I headed out for a longer walk. They had all the sniffs and did all they needed to do, while I tried to keep up, juggling their leashes back and forth.
After walkies, I tried to relax on the couch while writing my journal Toot. The galls joined me and together we relaxed after a nice walk. I updated my blog a bit and watched some DS9. But then Aimy gave me signals that I thought to be “I need to go out again”, so I put both galls on leash and we went for a short walk. Aimy indeed needed to get some relief, so she didn’t warn me for nothing.
flic.kr/p/2rtSETv
We got back and relaxed some more with more episodes of DS9. I got a text from bestie that she would be calling a bit later. I wanted to head out with the girls for their normal walk, before too many dogs would be out, so I took my headphones with me. I chatted with bestie as the galls did their things and got more sniffs in.
The next part of the morning, we tried to just relax together. On the couch, with some scritches and cuddles every now and then. Both galls wanted some affection, so they rotated at times. At one point, they even joined each other for a cuddle with me, putting both their heads on my leg. It didn’t last too long, but it was rather sweet.
While relaxing together, I also tried to write a new blog post. First I made a quote post for Thursday and then I started writing a longer one for Friday.
flic.kr/p/2rtS6ec
I walked the dogs again and then I made myself some food. After food, some more relaxing happened. I went for another short walk with the galls before giving them their meals.
After a while, I put on my boots and I took the galls for a new route (for them) so they could have many new sniffs. They seemed to enjoy it quite a bit. But when we got back, I was rather tired. These galls have so much energy! 😅
We relaxed some more, which was fine by me as I needed a quiet day after and before busier ones. When it was almost time for bed, the galls and I went for a short one and then we said goodnight.
flic.kr/p/2rtTBsV
It didn’t take too long to fall asleep. I woke up about 1,5 hours later and then it took me some time to fall asleep again. I woke up again because Aimy, I think, barked. I went to the room and the galls were glad to see me. I didn’t see anything wrong, so after some cuddles, I headed back to bed. There I slept well until the alarm woke me up and it was fine to start a new “day”.
Thursday
I had woken up twice during the night and then when my alarm told me it was time again. Fortunately I got about 7,5 hours of sleep in.
The scale was nice and I got dressed before heading to the galls. They were glad to see me. I got my meds and with some effort, I managed to put on my socks and shoes. These galls do want their attention 😂. I took them out for a short walk, before getting ready to head to Skoosh to drive to the gym.
I enjoyed my protein shake and then got ready for some cardio. I rode the seated bike for half an hour. Then 15 minutes on the treadmill, walking 1km. After a massage in the chair, I got ready to head back home again.
flic.kr/p/2ru35bG
I got greeted by two jumpy galls. I gave them their kibble and washed up and changed. After a bit of relaxing, I took the dogs for a walk. It was a good enough walk and the galls got all their sniffs in and they could do all they needed to. When we got back, we got to the couch to relax a bit.
I wrote my journal Toot, but it took a little longer as the girls were claiming loads of scratches and cuddles from me. Then I got some brekky. I watched some DS9 until it was time to walk the galls again.
After walkies, I got my things and I headed to Nijmegen. Mum and I went to Kleve and the Appie in Nijmegen. When we got back, I packed Skoosh and quickly headed to the girls again.
flic.kr/p/2ru3TXy
I tried to put the things into the fridge and freezer and then I went out with the galls for another walk. When we got back I made myself some soup. I tried to relax on the couch for a while after that. But the noise from the construction work was just too much. 😔
I went for another short walk with the galls and then I gave them their food. I tried to relax as it would be quite some time before I’d be able to go to bed. While Aimy was at my feet, Lotus decided that she would fit between the backrest and me… Well, I almost fell off the couch! But she fit 😂 and she demanded all the cuddles and looked so proud of herself! 😂
Another walkies and then I got ready to head to the restaurant. I had forgotten about the closure of a road that I usually take, so when I realized it, I asked maps for some quick help. It took me to roads that I’d never driven on, but it was a good way to get to the restaurant and I was in time to find a decent parking and be on time. My parents and the neighbor arrived just shortly after.
We headed to the table where we were joined by my uncle and his partner. Only one family friend was still expected. But I was getting quite hungry, and when I asked if it were OK to get some food, no one objected. Some even joined me, while a few others waited for the friend to arrive. When I came back with food the friend had arrived as well, so we were all complete and ready to make it a good night.
We were successful in having a good night, with good food and some decent socializing. Around 19, I was getting very tired, and I got to Skoosh to head home. After 19, most Dutch highways allow for faster driving, but unfortunately not all drivers can read all the signs that say so. I was trying to get past a truck with 120kmh, when some dumb woman just used the indicator and pushed her car into my lane, while going a dazzling 103kmh… Yay for Skoosh having decent brakes! When she finally sod off, she gave me a look like I was in the wrong! 🤔 She clearly missed all the signs with “19-6 120kmh” on them…
flic.kr/p/2rtTqbv
I got back and walked with the galls. I was rather tired so when I got to bed it didn’t take too long to fall asleep. I slept till about 20 minutes before the alarm was set to go off. It was a short night, and the scale wasn’t too pleased with me (late meal and I ate a little more than usually). But I got dressed, took my meds, cuddled the galls, and I started my “day”.
Friday
After a very short night, due to my own need to stick to the routine as much as I can, I got woken up by my alarm after almost 4 hours of sleep. I went to the scale, which was higher as I expected (more food and a later meal). I got dressed and then opened the door to the bouncy furballs! They really are glad to see me after sleeping, even if it were only about 4 hours.
I took my meds and then the galls and I went out for walkies. After a little round, the galls had done their things. They got their snack, I got my bag, and I headed to Skoosh. Together we went to the gym. 😊
I switched my shoes, enjoyed my protein shake while scrolling through the socials, and then I went to the seated bike. I didn’t have too much energy, so I was glad to have finished my half hour. After that, I just went to the massage chair, as I was just so tired. So I enjoyed a massage and then switched my shoes and headed back to the galls again.
Of course they acted like I had not been at home for ages and went crazy again. 😂 These two are just so bouncy… I gave them their food and then I washed up and changed clothes. We relaxed, as much as the galls allowed it, for half an hour, and then we went out for walkies.
The galls had their sniffs and did their things. The walk that took me about half an hour just a month ago now takes me about twenty minutes with these two crazy galls. Guess that both means that I’m improving a bit, and that the galls are fast when they wanna be. My poor arms and hands will be glad when the galls are able to head home again, as their leashes aren’t easy to use for me with my bad hands. And they can pull quite a bit, especially when they think they’ve seen a cat or bunny or something…
flic.kr/p/2rugQv4
We got back, and I wanted to relax on the couch a bit. I tried to write my journal Toot, and then I edited my journal post and I worked a bit on another blog post. When it started getting lighter outside, I got my boots on and took the galls on a decent walk. We got back and I started the washing machine. I fixed some food and enjoyed it. When the laundry had been done, I started the dishwasher and hung the laundry. While I was upstairs, I checked the floor heating meter, as my kind neighbor had helped me with it last Monday. It seemed the pressure had gone down again already, so I took a snap of it, to check with the neighbor how far it had been when he was done. I could use that info for when they come to service it on the 29th.
Bestie called me while I was busy with the laundry. I called back when I had my hands free for a bit, and we chatted while I did my chore. Then I swatted out some little carpet bits, so much sand… When bestie hung up, I got the hoover and made a quick “run” through the downstairs area. The galls went nuts again, apparently the hoover isn’t their favorite thing. 😂 But it was needed, seeing how much got caught in the little hoovers bin bit (no idea what it’s called, sorry 😇).
I got to the couch and tried to enjoy myself with some DS9. I was rather tired, but the chores were done, so I was able to relax with some telly in between the walks with the galls. There weren’t too many trucks passing by today, which was good. But then the workers got some sort of “music” on behind the house and it was almost worse than the trucks. At least those pass by, this droning sound was there constantly for nearly 6 hours!
The galls and I had another longer walk and then I have them their food. I worked a bit on another blog post and then I tried to relax a bit more. Still enjoying DS9, I made myself some food as well. Then a good neighbor texted me, asking if they could loan something. I was just about to head out with the galls, so we went by their house first and then walked a short round.
makertube.net/w/i216mkeQSK3Bsq…
I slowly prepped things for bedtime and I was hoping more and more that they’d shut off the god awful music because it was definitely worse than the trucks at this time… One last walk with the galls, and then I got ready for bed. I did change my alarm a bit, as I didn’t want to have the girls wait too long before walkies. I always set an alarm for Arwen, and I did the same for them. I went to bed while I watched a movie, as the music was still loud and clear. But, fortunately, after about half an hour, the music got turned off and I was finally able to fall asleep with my eBook.
I woke up once for the loo, and then again when my alarm warned me. I had not expected such a decent sleep. 😊 According to my watch, I got about 7½ hours of sleep, so yay for that, especially as I woke up only once. The scale was a lot kinder to me again, yay for that. So I got dressed and headed to the wildlings 😂 ready to start a new “day”.
Saturday
I had a rather decent night. Woke up once for the loo and then when my alarm woke me up. The scale was a tad nicer. And then the galls were very excited to see me again. While two dogs are a bit of work, I guess I’ll also miss them when they will head home again next week. 😊
I took my meds, tried to get my shoes on, which is a challenge with two bouncy galls around you, and then I took them out for walkies. The girls did their things and then I got ready to head to Skoosh. I got my bag, gave the girls their snacks, and then I went. Skoosh and I got to the gym safe and sound.
flic.kr/p/2ruvyVx
I switched my shoes and enjoyed my protein shake while checking the socials. Then I headed to the seated bike where I rode for half an hour. I didn’t walk the treadmill, but I did enjoy ten minutes in the massage chair. Switched my shoes again and headed back to the galls with Skoosh.
Again, they were quite happy to see me. I gave them their kibble and then I washed up and dressed again. I tried to relax a bit while the galls had to take it easy before walkies. But they were very bouncy… When we finally started to head out, they were lunatics 😂 like they never got out!
flic.kr/p/2ruvZFM
We had a good enough walk, but it’s still quite some work to keep correcting them all the time and to use those damn flexi lines. My hands are getting so sore because of them, and the galls pulling so often. 😔 I’m sure my hands will be glad when the galls head home again…
We got back and I tried to relax some while writing my journal Toot. After a little while, the galls finally relaxed a bit as well, and I was able to enjoy some DS9. I got my laptop and worked a bit on my journal blog post. Then the galls wanted to head out again, so I got my boots and off we went.
flic.kr/p/2ruvZHk
After a nice walk, it was time to finally make my brekky. I tried to relax a bit more with the galls and DS9. Then, one more walk before I got my controller and I tried to enjoy some No Man’s Sky. 😊
The game was a bit buggy, but it wasn’t too bad in the end. I had wanted to game a little while, but after some times, the galls let me know they were done relaxing and they wanted to go out again. So like a good Lab slave, I got ready to walk with them again. 😅
flic.kr/p/2rupUPw
They got their meals after that. I wanted to relax on the couch, so this time I let the galls know they had to adjust to me this time and not the other way round. 😂 I got myself some food and I took my meds in time. After some more DS9, I prepped for bed. One last walk with the galls and then I headed to my bed.
It didn’t take too long to fall asleep. I woke up once for the loo. And then again, about half an hour before the alarm, because one of the galls barked. She was whining a bit behind my door. Not knowing what it meant, I got up, used the scale, dressed and got ready to walk with them. So that’s how I started my new “day”.
Happy Sundog / Sunday
I was sleeping rather well, only woke up once for the loo, until one of the galls, probably Aimy, barked loudly and woke me up, about half an hour before my alarm was set. Because she started whining a bit, I was wondering if she woke me up for a loo break. So, I got to the scale, which was kind, and then quickly got dressed. I took my meds, and then I got the galls out.
flic.kr/p/2ruNe1b
They didn’t immediately run out for a wee or something, so I wonder what the bark was all about. Maybe they just thought I had enough rest for now! 😂 I did get about 7:15 hours of sleep, so that was more than enough I guess. I did get a sleep score of 93, so that wasn’t bad at all. When we got back from walkies, I gave the galls their snacks, and then I grabbed my bag to head to the gym.
Skoosh and I arrived safe and sound. I switched my shoes, enjoyed my protein drink, and checked the socials. Then, I headed to the seated bike, where I got half an hour of riding in. I didn’t feel too motivated for some unknown reason, but I wrote for my journal Toot, and before I knew it, the half hour was done. I went to the massage chair after that, and when it was done, I switched my shoes and headed back home with Skoosh.

The galls were very happy to see me. I got them their meals, and then I washed up and dressed again. I tried to relax on the couch, as the galls needed to wait a bit for walkies after their meals.
After about half an hour, we headed out for our nightly walk. The galls were very enthusiastic, especially when they saw a bunny pass by. Damn, I think my arms stretched out a few centimeters while they pulled the leashes to get to the place where they saw the little creature hop away. Walking with them made me realize how lucky I’ve been with the peaceful demeanor of Arwen as she got older and more interests in the peaceful sniffs. 😊
When we got back, I worked a bit on my blog. Added the journal text and images, and started working on a blog post for the following day.
I tried to relax a bit with the galls and some DS9. I enjoyed my breakfast and after some time, it was getting light out, and the galls and I got ready for another walk.

After the walk, I wanted to finish Monday’s blog post so that I could relax and enjoy some gaming this morning. I managed to finish the post and then, when I got ready to game, there were two brown snouts looking at me with begging eyes… It had been two hours since last walkies… I could not start gaming peacefully, without walking them first… Those eyes… 😍 They know how to convince me…
So we went for a shorter walk this time, and when we got back, I finished the DS9 episode I was watching before booting up the purple beast 💜 (my PS5 has purple plates 😉). I started No Man’s Sky, flew around a bit until I found a suitable planet to go to and dig for Corvette scrap.
After a while, a sweet friend texted me that they would be interested in joining after their meal. I had to go out for a short walk again, and then I made my meal. I was almost done when my friend sent me the invite. It was good to catch up with them again! We both played our own game while chatting. I managed to make some adaptations to my Corvette before I had to log off and get ready for bed. Slowly, my Corvette cache is filling up with all different parts, which will hopefully allow me to start building a second Corvette, which hopefully will be even better than the first one.

I walked with the galls, and then we went to bed. It didn’t take too long for me to fall asleep. When I woke up for the loo, one of the galls, probably Aimy, got very excited as she thought I was getting up. I told her though the closed door it wasn’t time yet, it was just a wee, we need to sleep some more… And then, thankfully, the galls let me sleep till my alarm went off! I got about 7:40 hours of sleep in and it was amazing! 😁
I got to the scale, it was kind to me. I got dressed, while two idiots were bouncing behind my door 😂. I went to them, gave all the cuddles, took my meds… And the galls and I started our “day”…

RIP Arwen
A little edit that I tried to make with the phone's editor. It's very simple but I wanted to see what the simple phone editor could do (turns out it's not that much 😂).
These are all edited images of Arwen, which I made after she unfortunately passed away on July 4th 2025. I still cry over losing her every single day, she was just so special... 😢
