Monday was OK enough, but we had some rain in the morning, so I did my exercises on the treadmill. Tuesday was a very wet day, so again all exercises were done indoors. I did have to go to physio, but that was quite good, so all worth it! Wednesday, I tried to get in all the exercises and for the rest, I relaxed while waiting for a parcel to arrive. Thursday was the usual Germany day again. On Friday I had a dentist appointment, so I headed to Nijmegen early and hoped the walk to and from the dentist would go OK enough. For the weekend, I only “scheduled” my exercises and I was happy to be able to relax with some gaming with a very sweet friend. She joined me on Saturday, but unfortunately wasn’t able to join on Sunday, so I tried to make the best of it on my own.
It’s not looking like it’s gonna be the best week for outdoors walkies, with many days showing rain in the forecast… The temperatures seem OK, so it’s a “wait and see” how things will be, rain wise… (update: loads of wets 🌦️ have fallen⛈️ )
Quick links to the days of the week: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday & Sunday.
Monday
Due to me wanting to catch a glimpse of the Blood Moon, I had little sleep, and what sleep I got, was rather broken. So of course my scores were not enthusiastic about me and my health choices at all 😂. I think I got my lowest sleep score ever, and my phone almost seemed worried over me. It was a score of 14! With less than 4 hours of sleep, and that being broken up… Yeah, that wasn’t my best idea! But, I did see a bit of that red moon and the eclipse! My energy score was at 54, but I don’t think that it will get any better, as long as Samsung keeps telling me I need to sleep when it’s dark because that’s better for my body and recovery. I guess Samsung doesn’t know about “silly NeuroSpicy 🌶️” folks that thrive better on a night owl routine… 🤔
I got up, as I was already dressed and I had used the scale before watching the moon, and I slowly got ready to head to the gym. The moon was normal again, and Skoosh brought me to the gym without any issues. I started my “gym routine” by enjoying the protein shake and checking my social media bits. Then, I got to the seated bike for half an hour. I even rode a wee bit on level two. It felt harder, but somehow, it also made me feel a bit better for being able to do it for a while. The small improvements can be really helpful when you’ve had so many setbacks since the first surgery…

After that, I got to the treadmill. I was aiming on getting a bit faster walk, as I felt that the slower walking was one of the causes now for making me hobbling more. I walked for 15 minutes and managed almost 1500 steps in that time. I got to 0,87km, which meant that my average speed was near the 3,5kmh. Not too bad, if I may say so myself. I wanted to walk a bit longer, but there was a man that came to the treadmills when I was riding the bike. And it seemed like he was ill in some way, as he kept coughing and scraping his throat and spluttering as he went… It sounded so gross, and he never held something in front of his mouth while he did all the gross bits. I had taken the treadmill the furthest away from him, and I gave him a disgusted look, as the gurgling was making me a tad nauseous 🤢 (I am really sensitive for things like this, especially when I see the person taking no precautions for keeping their germs to themselves). Even with my NC headphones, even with a TV series on my phone, I just had to go away after 15 minutes… Ugh!
I headed, with a big detour, to the strength machines and I used the leg abductor (cynnisblog.wordpress.com/2023/… – hope the link works, it’s to a little bit I wrote about it a few years ago on my blog) for a bit. Then, I decided to slowly start my arm training again (I do miss my better looking shoulders 😇 ), so I started it with the converging chest press (cynnisblog.wordpress.com/2023/… – another link to the same post on my blog, just to this machine). After a few simple reps on both these machines, I was really annoyed with the gross dude and yeah, I just got ready to leave. I didn’t even enjoy a massage in the chair, as I wanted to escape the nasty sounds… 😔 So I switched my shoes, packed my bag, and headed back to Skoosh.
When I got back home, I changed my clothes and then got to the couch. I grabbed my tablet and worked on my journal toot. When it was done, I grabbed the laptop and I added the journal bit to my blog post, and I added the needed images and alt texts. While I had my laptop, I installed my journal app to it as well. As I have been using the journal app for quite a while, there were a few 😉 entries for the laptop to gather. While the laptop did its thing, I got to the treadmill for a morning walk. As the weather was rather wet, it seemed the better option to just walk on the mill.
I had a movie on the tablet and I did my best with the walk. I walked for 30 minutes, which was a bit challenging (when walking outside, you have some “rest” points where you need to wait for traffic and such, on the mill, you just keep going). I had managed an average speed of 3,4kmh, which was rather decent. Especially since I found out that I had turned the knob one click too far when setting the incline, that it had been on 3% for the walk. After the walk, the laptop was almost done with the downloads. So, while it kept working on that, I “jumped” in the shower, as I needed to wash my hair and all, as we had a hairdresser 💇🏼♂️ appointment that afternoon.
It is still a bit challenging to shower, as it takes some extra spoons at the moment. When I was dressed again, the laptop was done. I used some of my old blog journal posts to copy in entries that I had forgotten to add to the journal app when I wrote them for the blog. There are still quite a few days that I did write my journal for my blog, but never entered it in the app. 😔 I finished all the missing entries for January 2024, and then I got ready to head upstairs.
I was riding my half hour when bestie called on her way to work. I managed to ride on level 2 for a while, yay me! But, the weather was rather humid, and that was noticeable indoors as well, so when I was done with my half hour, I felt like I needed a shower again. 😅 I relaxed for a while, while using my phone to add some pictures to the diary app that I had been adding the entries to earlier.

As a friend was coming over this morning, I did my best to try and clean up bits here and there. I swept the floors and was all ready when she was on her way to me. My friend was a bit later than I had expected her, but we had a nice chat. I fixed something to drink and after a while, I made some snacks. We had been sitting and chatting for a while, when my leg was getting a tad cramped. I suggested a little walk, as the weather was good enough for it, and my friend didn’t mind a walk, so we headed out.
The walk was indeed what my leg needed. We had something more to drink afterwards, and then we got ready to head out. She went home and I went to my parents for the hairdresser. Dad had asked me to help with his laptop, so I figured to go a little earlier to see what we could do. But, when I got there, he was in bed, and he stayed in bed until shortly before the hairdresser arrived… 😔 Ah well, I can use mine so…
The hairdresser weeded out my big bushy hairdo and when she was done, it was nice and shorter again. I got my things and headed back home again, as I wanted to beat traffic and I was hoping to have a parking space behind the house. The neighborhood is still a big mess and I fear it will only get worse before it may ever get better… They were working in the street that leads to the parking. If Skoosh were any bigger, I could not have even reached the parking due to a big sand truck being in the middle of it all. But, even though there were 4 free parking spots, someone thought it was necessary to park near the little entry/exit bit, and again, if Skoosh were any bigger (or I would not know her well enough), I would not have been able to park. Ugh, I was so cranky for all the asshats and their parking. And I fear what will happen when the need to do the street bit leading to the parking, as it’s one of the only bits here where we can safely park… 😔
I made myself some soup and relaxed with some telly until it was time to get ready for bed. I went to bed a little earlier as I was really exhausted due to the short night leading to today. While watching a movie on my phone, as there was noise outside that I needed to mask, I dozed off… When I woke up for the loo, I saw a long message from a sweet friend that I had been worried about as I had not heard from them in almost 2 months, even though I had sent several texts their way. So, I had to read their message before trying to sleep some more again.
I dozed off again and then I woke a bit after midnight. I got up and started my day/night. I didn’t have a whole lot of sleep, according to my watch, but it was a bit over 6 hours, so a little improvement… I can’t wait for the silly bruises and the last bit of edema to finally sod off so that I can be more comfortable in bed again. I went to the scale, which was a bit nicer now. Then, I got dressed and I was ready for the Tuesday…
Tuesday
I had a bit better night, but it was still a rather short one, especially after the short and broken previous night. My scores of the day/night were 56 for my energy score, but I don’t think I will get a high score anytime soon, as long as I keep being a night owl and “sleeping in the wrong times”, and my sleep score was 85, with about 6:15 hours of sleep. I got up, hit the scale, which was a bit kinder this time, and then I got dressed. After taking my meds and putting the protein shake in my bag, I got my jacket and keys and headed to Skoosh.
We got to the gym, and I switched my shoes. Enjoyed my protein shake while catching up on the social media bits. Then, I got to the seated bike and started my half hour ride, even a bit of time on the second intensity. Onwards to the treadmill. I walked for 20 minutes and I got to 1,24km. I am slowly trying out if I can up the speed a little bit without it getting too hard or painful. I went a bit higher but then I felt that it was a bit too much. But still, seeing where I started a week ago, and where I am now, I do see some progress and that surely helps me to keep motivated to keep going.
flic.kr/p/2rsgxyo
Unfortunately, the “gross dude” from the previous night made an appearance again, and it was also unfortunately that his less than decent health and hygiene issues were still present. I mean, when you cough, at least block the splatter from reaching all of the equipment that you are using… (and clean it when you’re done…). Fortunately, I was just ready at the treadmill, so I could move a bit further away to the strength machines. I used the leg abductor for a while again today, followed by the seated row for my arms/shoulders. I could feel my shoulders a bit from the exercise I had done the previous day. When I was done with the exercises, I went to the massage chair for a bit. Then, I switched my shoes and I got ready to head back home again.
I got home, washed up and changed clothes. Then I grabbed my tablet to write my journal Toot on Masto. When that was done, I switched to my laptop so I could add the text to the journal blog post. And, for reasons unknown, my laptop has issues with my vpn. I have the same anti-virus and VPN on my pc, and it works well there, But somehow, on the laptop, when I want to use the vpn, something blocks the internet then. I have tried all the options I could think of, and all the options that I could find online, but nope and nope… So that was rather annoying to say the least… 😔
After my trials and annoyance, I wanted to get some walking in. It was very wet out, so I was glad to have the treadmill. Plus, the way that I am feeling, the treadmill has more advantages than going outside at the moment (besides the downpour of wetness), But it means a little less painful memories while being out and about. Because it’s taking longer to get light again, it’s still dark when I want to head out. With the state of the neighborhood due to the construction work, it’s very messy and, on top of that with the rain these days, also very muddy and slippery. With the treadmill, I can keep a steady pace, I can add a bit of incline, it’s ‘s a steady way of walking and… I can watch something on my tablet while I am walking and… When I get tired, I am home already, so no worries on getting back. I do enjoy walking outdoors, but with the wets, with the darks, with the colder nights now, I was glad to be able to jump on the treadmill and get my half hour walk in. When I was done, I had walked 1,81km.

I relaxed a wee bit before heading upstairs to ride the home trainer. While I was riding, bestie called me during her ride to work. We had a nice chat while I was getting my half hour in. When I was done, bestie was getting close to her work. I fixed myself some brekky and enjoyed that while relaxing with some telly. After I had some rest and relaxation, I went back to the treadmill one more time, because I would have to leave for physio later today, so I would have less time to get some exercises in then.
I walked another half hour and got to 1,8km. Then, I got to the couch and wrote part of my blog post for the next day while having some old skool Star Trek TNG on the telly. Around 10:45, I got ready to head to Cuijk for my physio. It was messy but I was able to leave the parking OK enough. It was still raining like there would be no end of it. I got to Cuijk in time and I relaxed a bit while chatting to the PT’s wife while waiting for my appointment. The session went rather well and the physio was able to get some muscles into a better shape than they had been before.
On my way back home, I wanted to get some bits at Lidl. I parked, went through the rain to the entrance, only to find out that Lidl Cuijk was closed due to a reconstruction of the store… Bummer! So I headed to Grave to get my things there, as I didn’t want to have to go to Berghem on Wednesday. I just wanted to get my things and then be done with it for a while. Fortunately, they were open in Grave and they had all I needed, so that was done.
flic.kr/p/2rsdw3D
I got home, unpacked my groceries, and then got to the couch where I relaxed with some telly. I had a bit to snack and then I took my meds and supplements. I readied my bag and other things for the next day and around 15:40, I got ready to head to bed. It was a bit earlier, but I was rather tired, and I wanted to see if getting to the gym a bit earlier might mean less (or even no) gross dude to deal with while trying to work out.
It took a little while before I got comfortable enough so I could fall asleep. I woke up for the loo once and then got back to sleep. I woke up again when my alarm went off. According to my watch, I almost got 8 hours of sleep, so that was very nice indeed. Ready to start my new “day”.
Hump day / Wednesday
I woke up twice during the night, and then the alarm woke me up. I felt rather OK and a bit rested as well. The scale was nice to me and I hoped that this could be the start of a good day for me. I got dressed and took my meds. Then I gathered my things and headed out to Skoosh. We were in our way to the gym again.
I switched my shoes and enjoyed my protein shake while checking my social media bits. Then I headed to the seated bike. Rode it for half an hour. It was followed by a walk on the treadmill. In 20 minutes I walked 1,24km. I followed it by a leg exercise, the seated leg curl again. As I noticed that I was the only one at the gym this night, I got the crazy idea to get to the Smith machine. I set it up and did three sets with a low weight. It felt good to be doing this again, yay me. After that, I switched my shoes again and headed back home.
flic.kr/p/2rsuMLx
Washed up, changed clothes and I got my tablet. I wrote my journal Toot and got distracted a bit. Then I went to the treadmill and I walked for half an hour. I made it to 1,81km, so not too bad at all. I relaxed a wee bit and then I went to the bedroom to change the duvet. The nights are getting a tad colder and I don’t really like waking up because I’m chilly. While I was doing that, bestie called. But she received a call during ours and she had to take that. I finished the bedding and headed upstairs to ride my bike.
While I was riding the bike, bestie called me again and we chatted while she was on a short (for her) run before work. I was just riding the bike until I “hit” the 30 minutes. I headed back down and relaxed a little. I wanted to play a game while I was waiting for a parcel to arrive. I’ve been eager to try and make some more progress in the No Man’s Sky expedition. But as I was getting ready to play some, something triggered an emotional response in me. I got incredibly sad and missed Arwen a lot more in that moment. I could not focus on getting to the game, and I had to try and clear my mind some.
flic.kr/p/2rswBZq
I got my laptop and tried to write a blog post about it all. It was hard and I cried a lot during the composing of the post. But, when the post was done and I had finished the images to go with it, I did feel slightly better. After a little snack, I booted up the purple beast (my PS5) and got ready to play.
I was just modifying the Corvette (the ship in the expedition) and then I saw the delivery truck pull up. I accepted my parcel and checked the contents. As it was almost noon, I decided to take one of the pills and see if anything would happen. I played a little more and I managed to finish a few milestones (quests) that helped me to complete two phases. But I found I struggled with concentration. My neck and shoulder muscles were tight and I had a slight but annoying headache. So I ended the game and I just tried to relax a bit.
flic.kr/p/2rsvEnu
After some time, I found that my brain just could not fully relax. I got out the tablet and I started writing another blog post, again focusing on grief. But this time, I was searching on more information on grief and autism. Because I wondered if the way I deal with grief could be “different” than how the neurotypical people go through it, as I knew about all those stages and such, but I found it hard to really connect with them. And I found out that us NeuroSpicy 🌶️ folks can indeed deal differently with grief. And the bits that I found so far, they made more sense to me. So I am trying to add that info into the blog post.
I was tired so I got ready to head to bed. It took me a little while to get comfortable and there were building noises coming from outside (mostly hammering). So I put on a movie and while I was watching it, I dozed off. I woke up when the end titles were showing, as I needed to pee. I put away the phone and tried to sleep some more. I woke up several times before I decided to get up, about 45 minutes before the alarm was set to go off.
I hit the scale, and it hit me back 😔 and then I got dressed. After taking my meds, I got ready to head out and start my day.
Thursday
I had a bit of a broken night as I woke up a few times due to my leg and needing the loo. I got a about 6:45 hours of sleep. I would not have minded a little longer, but it is as it is… Hit the scale, which didn’t like me too much, and then I got dressed. I took my meds and then got ready to head to the gym.
After some social media time, I wanted to get to the seated bike. But the one I usually use (the one furthest from the sound 🔊 system) was taken. So that made my autism grumble, as now I needed to use the one near the “music”. It was loud and it triggered me so much, that I had to stop earlier than usual. I decided to try something “new” and I headed to the cross-trainer. I managed 5 minutes, and it went OK enough. I was just rather tired when I got off. I headed to the treadmill for 20 minutes before heading to the massage chair. I decided not to do any strength today, as I would be helping with the groceries, so that would be a bit of a workout on its own. After the massage I switched my shoes and headed home.
Back home I washed up and dressed again. I got to the couch with my tablet and I worked on my journal Toot. I edited it to my blog. And then I wondered if I should walk the treadmill. I was feeling tired and I knew I would be walking with the groceries and with Bas after that. But it also felt wrong to just stay in the couch… 🤔 So in the end, I hit the treadmill for 20 minutes. I relaxed after that until it was time to get ready to head to Nijmegen.
During my drive, bestie called on her way to work. I had to disconnect when I needed to fill up Skoosh. She’d done rather well, as I’d driven 288 km and she needed a little less than 12 liters. 😊 According my app, she’d done 24,39km on one liter, per average. Not too bad at all. When winter comes, she’ll be needing more again due to the heating. But with the gas prices as they are, this was a decent usage. 😊
When mum was ready, we headed to Kleve. We got the groceries we needed and then headed to Appie in Nijmegen. Back home I unpacked all the bags for mum, she only needed to get things in their right places. When she was done and she had her coffee, we went out for a walk with Bas. It felt weird to go to the small woods without my gall. Everything is so weird without her… 😢 I’ll probably get used to it, but I won’t really like it I guess… 😔
makertube.net/w/uzDsJ7eTztNFRN…
I got asked my my male ex his partner, the one who fell in love with my first choccy Lab and decided to learn everything to become a breeder, if I would be able to doggy sit for her/them. She wanted to go out for a short holiday, as she’d not have one in two years, but she wasn’t sure if the dog’s could come along. She needed help with the two older dogs, two ladies aged 6 & 10. I don’t know the details yet, but I may be doggy sitting for a while soon? 😊 It will be strange for sure, especially with two… But if she trusts me with her ladies, that must be a good sign as well (either that or she’s desperate and anything will do 😂). Wait and see for now…
I got home and cleaned out the groceries. I made some food and I texted N that I had a little snack for B. Maybe he’d be interested? A little later I walked a round with them and we had a nice chat. There had been a letter about the construction work and we need to find yet another place to park… Ugh, it’s so messy… Let’s hope they will fix that part of the street ASAP so we can get the parking back again, as they’re scarce to begin with… But we had a good walk and it was nice to cuddle the big fluffball some! 🐾 💜
When I got back, I watched some telly until I started to doze off. I got ready to head to bed, as I didn’t have to keep Arwen in mind anymore when it comes to bed times and alarms. 😢 I watched a little bit of the Hunger Games and then I dozed off.
I woke up several times during the night, due to my leg and my bladder, and around 23:45 I woke up and slowly started my night.
Friday
I woke up a few times during the night. My hip was annoying me at times, at other times it was my bladder being annoying. But, to get the hip sorted, I had to walk a bit, so getting to the loo seemed like a good way to achieve that. I got up around 23:50, about 40 minutes before my alarm was set to go off. But I had gone to bed a little earlier as I had been so tired, so in the end, my watch informed me that I got about 7:40 of sleep, which was rather good for me. And even though I had been awake 3 times before getting up, I did feel a bit more rested, so that was a plus.
I got to the scale and it was a little nicer to me, probably not for too long… I dressed and took my mess. Then I gathered my things so I could head to Skoosh. She was still behind the house, but I would have to park her elsewhere when I would get back, as they were closing off the parking today, due to construction on the connecting street. It’s so messy here and parking is a crime. I was planning on parking at the soccer parking spots. It is a little further from the house, but at least there are lights there and decent parking spots, instead of muddy roads…
Skoosh and I headed to the gym where we arrived safe and sound. I enjoyed my protein shake while I was catching up with my social media bits. I started with the seated bike again. “My” bike was free, so I could ride without the bad noise from the fitness’ sound system again. I rode for half an hour, which went rather well. It is so good to be done with my ride without my whole right leg tingling! So I guess that part of the surgeries did work out nicely. I walked for 20 minutes and got to 1,27km. As my back and shoulders were a bit sore, I decided to try out if I could manage two different leg exercises. I started with the abductor, followed by the seated leg curl. And… Both went rather well!
After that, I enjoyed a massage in one of the chairs. When I had switched my shoes, Skoosh and I headed back home again. It was weird to park at the soccer club, but I hoped that it would be a good choice. I walked back home, where I washed up and changed my clothes. I wrote the journal toot and then edited it to my blog site. I was feeling a bit bläh, and not really feeling up to walking the treadmill. I would be walking some when I would go to and from the dentist later this morning, so I decided to head upstairs, where I rode the bike while watching the first episode of the new Dexter series.
I managed to ride on the lowest level for 40 minutes, which was a new achievement for me, since the surgery. I didn’t ride during the whole episode, I couldn’t manage that just yet. I decided to watch the rest of the episode when I would be at the dentist, waiting to be called in. I headed downstairs, where I enjoyed my brekky. It was green bin day, so I made sure to get my old weeds, well some of them, into the bin, and I wheeled it to the curb. I tried to relax a wee bit with some TNG until I got too restless and decided to head to Skoosh. As I could always wait for a while at my parents’ place before walking to the dentist from there. I wasn’t interested in getting stuck in traffic because I left a little later.
flic.kr/p/2rt4qsF
Skoosh and I arrived at my parents’ place a little early. Bas was still upstairs, so I took him down, let him in the garden and then gave him all the cuddles. When it was around 8, I got ready to walk to the dentist. It would be around 1km, so not too far. I was hoping it would go alright. I was not too worried though, except for the high stairs they have to the floor where my appointment would be. Ow, there is a elevator, but I saw the challenge of using the stairs as a good thing (plus I don’t really like that elevator).
All went well and I arrived a bit early. I signed up and settled down. When I finished the Dexter episode, I noticed that there was a second one available. I would have to watch that the next night, so I would be up to date when I would be gaming with a good friend of mine.
The appointment went well, although they complained again about my level of care. I am getting a bit tired of having to explain this again and again that it’s not because I don’t want to, or because I don’t care, but because my hands and gag reflexes don’t like me to do all the things that they want me to do. In the end, they said they understood, like they always say they do, and I would be getting a follow up appointment where they would help me out with the necessary care.
I walked back to my parents home and Skoosh and I drove back to my place. I parked at the soccer place again and walked back the rest. It was messy again, as the trucks kept coming and going. I was rather tired and feeling a bit bläh. I made myself some food while the washing machine was doing its job. After the food had been enjoyed, I hung the laundry out to dry. I retrieved to the couch, where I engaged in some Star Trek TNG again.
My favorite “couch pastime”, scrolling and posting on Mastodon, was not happening, as unfortunately, my instance was down. I tried to scroll a bit on Friendica, but it just wasn’t the same. When time got near to get ready for bed, I was quite glad about it. I was really tired and done with, and I was hoping for a good night’s rest.
I woke up a few times during the night, my leg and bladder wanted some attention from time to time. And, when I woke up, ready to get up, I only got about 6 hours of sleep. I did want to get all my exercises in, as I was planning on some gaming later on… So, best get at it!
Saturday
I didn’t have the best night, as it was broken by waking up several times. In the end, when I got up for real, my watch told me that I had slept for about 6 hours, but I’d been awake 5 times before I got up. I felt tired and not really motivated, but I also knew that if I’d get my exercises and chores done in time, that I’d hopefully be able to enjoy some co-op gaming with a sweet friend.
The scale told me I’d snacked too much. I got dressed and I took my meds. When the bag was packed, I hobbled to the soccer parking where Skoosh was waiting for me. We went to the gym and the closer we came, the more wets were falling. Even with an umbrella, there was enough rain to hit me some before I got inside. I switched my shoes and enjoyed my protein shake.
flic.kr/p/2rtcAg7
After some relaxing with social media, I got to the seated bike and I rode for half an hour. This was followed by half an hour on the treadmill. I walked at 4kmh with a 2% incline, so walking a bit faster and longer was indeed a little win for me. I didn’t do any leg exercises, as I’d done two the previous day, and I had walked faster and further. The Smith machine was free, so I did use that one. Even added a wee bit of weight for the last few reps. After a massage in the chair, I switched my shoes and headed back home again.
It was (still?) raining when I got back, so yay for the umbrella, as I had to walk a bit to the house. I washed up and got dressed. I wanted to use my laptop to write my journal Toot, but I was struggling a bit with the dictionary and autocorrect settings. I’ve not been using LibreOffice too long yet, so I’m trying to get the hang of it. When I finally figured it out, I was able to finish the journal Toot. I sent it to my journal app and blog post as well. Then I tried to relax a little. But I felt like I had to do my exercises in time, so that I could enjoy some gaming later that morning.
flic.kr/p/2rtc8v6
So first, I got to the treadmill and I walked for half an hour again. I managed to repeat the previous settings, and walked 2km, mostly with a 2% incline. After I had rested a bit and had my brekky, I headed upstairs. There, I rode the bike for half an hour. When I was done with my ride, I took down and folded the laundry that I had done yesterday. I took the laundry basket down and cleared it out, put everything into the wardrobe.
I went back to the couch, where I watched the last episodes of the last season of Star Trek TNG. I tried to write a bit for Monday’s blog post while I was waiting for a dear friend to text me that she’d be ready for some co-op gaming. When she texted me, I was almost done with the text for my blog post. I finished it up and then I went online as well. We chatted while we tried to get some more milestone (quests) done to try and finish the expedition. We tried some co-op for some, but the game failed miserably, as was almost to be expected (unfortunately). So, in the end, we had to do it separately. I finished all the phases and brought the expedition to a finish. But I didn’t end it yet, as I wanted to work on my Corvette some more. We probably could take along the ship as it were, so I was trying to make it as best as I could so that I had a decent start when I got back to the main game.

Around 3pm, I got ready to head to bed. I logged off, I had already taken my meds, and then I packed my bag and brushed my teeth. I felt tired enough, so I was hoping to get some decent sleep tonight. I could not really get comfy so I browsed Masto a bit and then I saw a reply by someone that triggered my social anxiety. I tried to reply but that only seemed to trigger the person that triggered me more… We ended up blocking each other, but the sneers had startled me and I was having so many doubts about it all. It really threw me off and it now took even longer to relax before I could finally fall asleep.
I woke up a few times, due to bad weather, due to my leg, due to the loo and then due to some loud music coming from outside. It wasn’t time for my alarm yet, but all the short sleeps seemed to make me more exhausted. And due to that nasty person, I had some stupid dreams, so that didn’t help me relax in any way either… It was around 23:20 and I just got up to start my “day”. And I’d just have to “wing it”, I guess…
Happy Sundog / Sunday
I woke up several times during the night. Every time I got about 1½ hours of sleep in one go, and then I’d be awake again due to my leg bothering me or my bladder being annoying (or both at the same time). My sleep score only got to 72 this night, even though that was an increase of 4 points compared to the night before that. But with only a combined 5½ hours of sleep, I did not feel fully charged to take on a new day. My energy score was a lower one as well, going down from 70 the previous night/day to only 56 points today.

I got up, used the scale, and then I dressed and got ready to start the day. Meds were taken, bag was made ready, and I started the walk to the parking where Skoosh would be. We drove to the fitness and all went well. I enjoyed my protein shake while browsing through the social media bits. And then I got my big behind in gear and started my half hour bike ride. It was followed by a half hour walk on the treadmill. Because the gym was rather quiet when I was done with my walk, I decided to head to the Smith machine, where I got a few sets in. Yay me! After that, I enjoyed the massage chair, before changing my shoes and heading back home again.
I washed up, changed clothes, and then I got to the couch. I grabbed my tablet and I wrote my journal toot. Switched to my laptop and worked a bit on some other blog posts. After a while, I kind of had to convince myself to get my big behind in gear once more and walk on the treadmill. I managed a decent enough walk, even got it to walking 40 minutes this time.

I made myself some brekky and then I relaxed a bit. Decided that I should ride the bike as well, if I wanted to relax with some gaming later on. So I headed upstairs, where I rode my bike for half an hour. After that, I felt like I had done enough exercises for the day. I went back downstairs and grabbed my laptop again where I worked a bit more on a blog post. I had made a blog post about fitness equipment that I use about two years ago. It had taken me hours to compile and I didn’t even mention all the machines, because the post was getting rather long. Now, I finally started working on the second part of the post. I did ask AI to help me at times. I was comparing two machines and I found these pros and cons, but it turned a bit messy when I tried to sum it up. AI did help me with that, and it saved me some time and frustration (I am not too good with creating tables that make sense 😂 ). The post is not done yet, but I think I am making quite some progress on it.

I had a little bite to eat and then I decided I would log into the game. I was hoping to game with a dear friend, but I had not heard from them yet. And I knew that I would enjoy the game if only I’d log on and get into it. Unfortunately, my friend could not join me this time. 😔 I finished up my Corvette and ended the expedition. Then, back in the main game, the Corvette was glitching some. But I took one of my normal planes and I went to a planet to gather “scrap” that I can use to enhance my Corvette (if she will show up for me next time I log on 🤞🏻 ).
After a few hours of trying to collect some scrap, I saved the game and logged off. I took my meds and supplements, and I watched some DS9 while just trying to relax. When it was time to get ready for bed, I followed my usual routine and got to bed. It took a little while to fall asleep. And during the night, I woke up 4 times for the loo and due to my leg being annoying. I can’t wait for a night with only one or two waking moments…

Around 23:30 I woke up again and decided to start my “day”. It had been a wet ‘n windy evening and would probably also be a wet ‘n windy night. That’s one plus of not needing to walk a dog (for now, as there will be two coming to visit me for almost two weeks starting Monday afternoon). After I used the scale (yay, it was below the 82kg!), I got dressed and started my day.
