After having my Celestron SLT 130 telescope for some 10 years now, yesterday it broke. Exactly before the total solar eclipse next month...after I was preparing so much for it.

What broke? This shitty little plastic gear that got worn out over the years:

That's all. A terrible design pairing such badly made gears with metal ones. And now I cannot control the left/right movements of my telescope. And I cannot find a way to replace it. Or to buy the entire motor... Unless, maybe, I order it from USA/Canada and I pay a lot of money and may not arrive in time for the eclipse.

Fuck this shit. All of it. I wish I could sleep and just sleep. And not dream. But I can't even sleep for the past weeks. And when I do I always have nightmares.

Is fine...I think I will survive. But that's the last thing I needed for the telescope to break. I also don't feel like buying a different one since it works, is just a little fucking gear/wheel....is just that I also broke something else when I opened it...so I likely need to get the entire engine for it...

I wish life was a stupid game and I can say: ok that's it, turn it off. I'll go back to the real life and not play this stupid game again.

Have you heard of the vulgar-latin? That’s Catalan.

In other words a “vulgar”, non Latin, or “bad” Latin language. Because, of course, all languages are mixes of previous languages. We wrote a 600 pages book about the evolution of languages where we explain in detail how there is no such thing as Spanish, Catalan, English and so forth. Languages are in a constant movement and are comprised, just like those “sarmale” food, of many kinds of flavors. Catalan, French, Romanian, Italian and so forth, are languages that have evolved from Latin. And Latin evolved from other language(s).

To my Catalans readers, to put it simply, the Catalan language (and this applies for every single language) is this:

ONE:

A “bad” version of another language that over time mutated into its own language.

By “bad” I mean people will start to speak an official language (like Latin) in different ways (accents, new words, new ways to write it, etc.) and in the beginning this is considered as “bad” since it deviates from the “rules of the current language”.

But this “bad” will become the “rule”, just as the “rule” was also “bad” at some point. That’s how languages evolve.

TWO

A language that stole words from other languages. Directly, shamelessly, and constantly.

Do you know how Catalans call the “Internet”? Well, “internet”. Inter-Net. Borrowed from the Americans.

Catalan, like all languages, is full of these stolen words, expressions, and meanings.

THREE

A language that is vastly different from its own origins.

The Catalan that was spoken hundreds of years ago is vastly different from the one spoken today.

That’s the case with every single language.

I did not have pain, or much at all, for the past 1-2 weeks. I have no clue why, but wow life feels damn different. I will continue my medical investigations into this but the body can be such a mystery even now when we have so much technology and knowledge.

But well. Fantastic.

Soon I will meet with the most fantastic friends on Earth to see the eclipse on the 12th of August. I am focusing on organizing that. I want to make sure we can see it through my telescope, but we can also record it. This week am doing more tests. The Sun will be super low for the eclipse - 20:30 Madrid time is the full eclipse. And 21:00 is the sunset. We may miss it if we are not at the right location...

I am also focusing on promoting our latest TROM Article: Culture Cancer tromsite.com/2026/07/culture-c… on the fediverse. Maybe I will make a video about it soon, to discuss it.

I am also trying to work on new articles.

Worked on TROMjaro these days, and I would want to bring back TROMnews....because I miss that website a lot.

But well I am the living proof, alongside people like me, that this Trade Society is Hell on Earth and it does not matter if you do good things that hundreds or thousands of people value, or objectively your stuff is scientific and educational regardless of reach; does not matter if you try to be a good human being. You have NO VALUE in the Trade Society. You know who has value: those who trade. Sell, buy, market, compete, have a job, make money, collect data, etc..

At least that makes me feel better knowing that I am part of a lifelong experiment to prove how this Trade Society is indeed a Primitive and Harmful society.

Not long ago Spain also won the Euro Cup – the biggest sport competition in Europe. Football that is. After the game people went into the streets to celebrate. The Spanish flags on display, honks, partying, “We won!” people were screaming!

What is interesting is that these are two of their best players of the tournament:

Yamal and Nico. Yamal’s father is a Spanish immigrant from Equatorial Guinea, and his mother is Moroccan. And Nico’s parents had to cross the Sahara’s desert to immigrate to Spain “illegally”.

Also two of Spain’s best defenders are called Robin Le Normand and Aymeric Laporte – not a fucking chance these are Spanish names! These guys are born in France.

Speaking of France, this is their football team:

No, this is not an African team, it is the “french” team. Most of their players have African roots. In fact when they won the World Cup in 2018, 87% of their team was made up of immigrants (them, their parents, or grandparents). And historically this has always been true for France.

Even their most iconic player Zinedine Zidane is of Algerian descent. His parents immigrated to Paris and he has described himself as a “non-practising Muslim”.

Lastly this is how the other finalists of Euro 2024, England, would look without immigrants:

Overall the African immigrants were some of the best players of this Europe football competition.

Keep that in mind!

So when their supporters shout “We won!” waving their nation’s flag, who is “we”? Who is Spain, France, England?

Food and Football, two very culturally grounded things in Europe, are all made up of bits from other parts of the world. And so is the case with every sport and dish from anywhere on this globe.

In throwing off the burden of words, in being free of the whole structure of symbols, ideas, and looking directly at the thing itself, there is a rejuvenation, a freshness; something totally new is taking place.

If one would understand the whole process of envy, one must go into it very deeply and not merely accept or reject envy, or try to resist it or cultivate a virtue in its place. When virtue is cultivated, it is no longer virtue. One who tries to cultivate goodness has ceased to be good. Goodness is something entirely different. If I try to free myself from envy by cultivating a state of mind in which there is no envy, I am still envious, because the drive to cultivate a state of non-envy is based on envy. If I were to eradicate the feeling called envy, I must understand this whole problem, so that the mind can dissociate itself from all words, including that particular word ‘envy’. And if it does, is there envy? But merely getting rid of the word, as a clever trick in order not to be envious, does not bring about a mind that is completely still, without a word. Only the mind that is completely still, without a word, without a movement, without an image, that is no longer functioning from the centre which is society, only such a mind is free from envy, and can therefore function in a totally different dimension. To me, such a mind is a religious mind.
