This is me and my best friend at that time. Peak early 2000.


We were lip-syncing (popular back then) Romanian rap songs on the stage, having fun. Bomfunk’s MC, breakdance, spiky hair, loose clothes. Nothing to do with the Romanian culture, of course.

So let’s be real for a bit here, all of those Catalan, or Romanian, or whatever cultural traditions are at best a day in the calendar for most people, since most people absorb their values from a wider world, through a lot of means: from music to platforms, movies to books.

For better or for worse.

I have just seen a post about EVs sales in the UK, compared to fossil fuel sales. The OP mentions "self charging" hybrids (using verbiage from article they are quoting from)!

There is no such thing as a self charging hybrid vehicle! If it was a self charging vehicle it would be a perpetual motion machine, if it converts another fuel to into electricity to run then it is a hybrid vehicle!

The Universe tried to stop me so hard from enjoying the eclipse. So many problems it threw at me. Well, guess what Universe, I will still go. Yes no Sasha, yes no Tortuga, yes other problems, but I will go.

We meet up somewhere in Spain to see the total solar eclipse. I fixed the telescope.We have all we need. We go and see.

In Spain is quite impossible to rent any place for long term since the owners of apartments and houses prefer to rent for tourists: short term, more money. But who are these owners? Spanish, Catalans…

Same Spaniards or Catalans would prefer to employ immigrants for a lower pay and no paperwork since it is more profitable for them. Money is a lot stronger of an influence than culture.

In Catalonia they provide courses for “immigrants” to learn Catalan so they can integrate into the society. We know many Moroccans who take these courses, and sometimes they can even get benefits from taking them.

But then if you look at their Muslim culture it has nothing to do with the Catalan one. So what if they know Catalan? Does that mean they are vessels of the Catalan culture? Of course not.

Don’t get me wrong is good to help people integrate, if they so wish, but don’t regard it as if these people are bending to the culture, since it can be vice-versa and they can lead to the mutation of culture. From USA to Catalonia and everywhere else.

Is funny how a few thousand migrants, poor people, are such a scare for Europe.

Maybe they should go after the millionaires and billionaires who hoard all resources, consume the most power, influence politics, and enslave so many people in Europe by holding them hostage with low wages. That's a crisis, not some poor people who seek for a better life.

Really breaks my heart to shut down our ridewithless.com website...

I thought I and Sasha can have a wonderful life together with this motorhome. Go see cool places, relax, make projects, volunteer, be humans on this planet and embrace that identity. And make some useful videos to inspire and help others.

But Sasha chose to have a different life...suddenly.

So it makes no sense to leave that website online. For now it redirects to the Peertube channel videos.trom.tf/c/ridewithless/…

And I will try to continue to make videos.

Just hard for me to cope with so much stress, trauma, and loss recently. I feel like I have a cold that does not go away.

I wish it was last year, and we were in Picos de Europa seeing wonderful mountains and worry about where to park basically. Is hard to accept that part of your life is gone. Makes me want to crawl into a ball and disappear.

Anyway. I'll swallow problems trying not to vomit, and hope that things will get better.
