We really need support now because we work hard to move our servers to a different location for multiple reasons. But basically we are forced to. So we have to pay a lot more money to move them. But we plan to provide more storage space for TROM Files and maybe more services via TROM.tf too. We are expanding!

Bibliogram (TF for Instagram), Teddit (TF interface for Reddit), and Invidious (TF for Youtube) were also removed in the past, because they either didn't work at all, or it was nearly impossible to keep them functional.

In the end these are not alternatives to trade-based services, they are interfaces for these services. So for example we rely on Friendica instead of Facebook, because Friendica is a true alternative. A different social network! Same when we rely on Peertube instead of Youtube. Or Nextcloud instead of Google Drive, and so forth. These and more, are the true services that we provide via trom.tf/ !
Yes, most videos are on Youtube and it will take a long time until we could match that on Peertube, so for now keep calm and use FreeTube (local TF interface for Youtube), and keep on posting on Peertube!
Yes Reddit has a lot of interesting content. So use an ad and tracker blocker! And give Lemmy a try!
In the near future we will replace the TROM Translate with a proper Translation engine that we run on our server. As for a search engine it is damn tricky....we do not know what alternative there is.

But it is for sure the content too. I can't ditch youtube (use it to watch videos) since there is no alternative to that. I use FreeTube but it is still youtube's content.
These releases are mainly for the ones trying TROMjaro for the first time. They contain the updates that come from Manjaro, so that whoever grabs our ISO do not have to install a lot of updates.

We are in the process of trying to find a long term solution for our TROM.tf. Mostly in terms of diskspace since we are running low on that. So any financial help is much much appreciated!
We are working on an improved ZDay presentation with a much better audio and footage from a secondary camera. So that you know ;) . We understand that the current video has a very bad audio, but we didn't know that they would not record directly from the mic. Else we would have used a lav-mic. Anyway, we should release an enhanced presentation in less than a week. #tromlive
TROM Files now has a wonderful calendar app files.trom.tf - you can even integrate it with your local apps. Import from your trade-based services into this trade free calendar!
Our Friendica is now super fast, same is for our Matrix! So TROM Social and TROM Chat seem to work great now!
We have updated our Friendica but the Network (newsfeed) seems to be slow to load for some accounts. If you experience slowness please let us know. #tromlive
- Update our Friendica and test to make sure everything works fine - Move our Peertube storage to an object storage so we free up space on our server. Currently we are at the limit when it comes to storage. Using an object storage allows us to scale up. - Add Pixelfed to our TROM.tf services - Release a new TROMjaro
All of these require a lot of time and resources. So it make take more than just weeks.

Kudos to the people who are translating these TROM videos without anyone asking them to do so or how to do it. At TROM we work in this decentralized and more emerging style: people can get involved with whatever they can, and do it on their own.
Amazing people. One of them actually, Lenka, we meet at ZDay. She came because of TROM and she quickly became our friend.
Now she made the Czech subtitle for the presentation and she wants to work on the entire TROM II documentary to subtitle it into Czech. Awesome people!

TROM II is now fully translated into Romanian thanks to @Georgi who worked like crazy for the past months to do it.
It is particularly difficult to translate into Romanian because this language comes in 2 main flavors: the official language and the language that people normally speak. And there can be a big difference between the two.
Georgi tried as much as possible to translate in a way that people talk and not in this official robot-like way. She used Kdenlive for the entire translation process.
