But then it hit me, The anti-Christ of Revelation was actually Herod. So what I'm seeing is the recurrence of a type. The narcissist, unqualified, power-mad, asshole. A type that echoes through history like a fart in a cathedral.
If possible, on days of strong winds I always try to park facing the wind. Also, I try to avoid parking near trees, because of branches and fruits/nuts that may fall, or structures that may have a risk of debris flying in the wind (construction sites, sand dunes).

Plein de monde. Actuellement les organismes bancaires accordent des "facilités" pour qu'on puisse se payer des vacances aux Maldives, des SUV dernière génération, etc. Mais ils te tiennent par les grelots, en te faisant croire que toi aussi tu peux... Folie. Les prolos du numérique (plus généralement du secteur tertiaire) méprisent et oublient leurs origines paysannes ou de métallos/mineurs. Perso, je sais d'où je viens : la mine d'un côté, petit paysan pauvre (mais libre d'un autre), c'est mon ADN. Je ne veux pas (peux pas?) en sortir.
Après, je vois la lutte des classes plus comme comme un combat social que comme un combat sociétal. Mais bon c'est moi.
Mon opinion sur le débat politique actuel reste identique : De la merde en barre .

Après que les riches, se servent de ça pour prospérer, c'est la base. C'est cynique comme remarque, mais s'ils ne s'étaient pas servis des faiblesses/failles de l’État quel que soit le gouvernement, ils ne seraient pas riches. De plus, le monde est dans une économie à 99.99% capitaliste. Les 0.01% restant étant la Corée du Nord. Faut pas se leurrer.

Revendiquer est un grand mot. Se rappeler me semble important. Ne serait ce que pour savoir à qui tu dois l'amélioration de ta condition. Moi ça m'aide à "m'enraciner" plus profondément dans mes convictions, et en plus je suis fier de mes origines. Puéril? sûrement, mais bon.

C'est vrai que la définition n'est pas clairement définie. En sciences humaines/sociales il y quand même une certaine différence entre social et sociétal. Mais bon, ce n'est pas très important.
Super article de @Jean_no à propos de #wikipedia qu'il faut absolument défendre contre les attaques du Point, de Musk, et de tous ceux à qui déplaisent les principes encyclopédiques.

Checked the app store for an app that would be specialized for use with Friendica. Saw the "Raccoon" app, while still in development. But... I installed it so I can try it out with this account, as the trom server doesn't have a "web install", for a web based app thingie, and it's a bit annoying to use from the mobile website. So... Let's try out Raccoon (I'm on android, BTW).
I don't know if my other Friendica account is still working, as it's past 3AM and it usually zonks out at that point.... But as I'm trying the app from the instance without web app support, I'm posting from here now. 😉

As the first Friendica instance I joined is down again, I'm slowly adding people to follow on this account. I need to have some folks in here so I can try out the options that Friendica offers. And while to do enjoy the other instance, it's just been down every night between 3-6 when I wanna be active more. So that's just hard then to try it out.

Days like these, where the world is going crazy bit by bit, I really wish I was more tech savvy! I would love to understand Linux better, especially since I got it to my laptop now. And, if I were smart enough, I would love to host my own little corner on the internet!
If I had the funds and the wits, I’d love to have a domain where I could host all the bits of the internet that I enjoy for myself. Of course I’d go with the activity pub/FediVerse route, as I’ve been enjoying that so much… I have dreams, but I don’t have the means and knowledge, unfortunately… But… What would I like? 🤔
Well, it would be cool to have a domain named “Pixy’s Corner” 😉! I’d love to run several FediVerse services. I would make sure that I’d have a stable PC with a decent hard drive system (also a backup one), so I’d have enough space to host all my sillyness!
I enjoy the Mastodon bit of Fedi. I’ve recently joined my first “misskey” instance and wow, those options are even more awesome! So I’d definitely want some of that! 😇
I enjoy sharing pictures, so there should be a Pixelfed instance as well…
Video sharing is cool too! So I’d need more space to host a PeerTube instance as well.
And, last but not least, I’d love a blog site based on Write Feedly, as that also works with activity pub.
If I’d had the space available, it would definitely be open for some friends to join. But I’d make it for me first, and then I’d try to federate with the other instances, so I could chat and share with folks on other instances as well. 😊
Back in the day, when Frontpage and message boards were still a thing, I used to host my own website and forum. I rented the online space and used a ftp program to connect. And somehow, it usually worked! I don’t think I could that now…
Ever since the fibro kicked in, I’ve struggled with brain fogs. I’ve lost a lot of why I knew. And things changed… 😔
I still remember starting my first GeoCities website. Playing with those awesome animated images that became a hot thing, especially when MySpace became a thing to join!
Ow that reminds me… If I could, I’d also host a matrix instance so friends and family could chat safely through my servers… 😊
Don’t tell me it’s easy! With my autism, I find it very hard to learn from the internet, especially since most tutorials are videos these days. And those are the worst for me… 😔
Ideally, I’d get someone face-to-face, and together we’d set up the kit and then get all the stuff running. They’d explain every little step, and I’d be writing down every step Ling the way! And then when I need to do my first instance updates, that person would come over again, talk me through it step by step, and I’d be making notes again. And repeat that until I know what to do and if feel confident enough about it.
But as I don’t know code, as I don’t understand protocols, as I don’t havr the funds for the domain and kit I’d need… I guess it’s just a silly dream…
It’s just a silly dream to have my own “little sanctuary” on the wide web, to have a place to really call my own, to make it as weird as I can, and then add some more sillyness! To have “Pixy’s Corner”, where I could blog, Toot, share vids and snaps… That would just be awesome!! But I guess it will just stay a dream as I don’t have the knowledge, nor the funds, to make any of this possible…
I am very grateful for the instances that host my current sillyness, and I try to support them when I can. Which is really not often enough, as I’ve been dealing with loads of costs the last year… 😔 But when I can, I do try to chip in a bit…

Living in a motorhome is no small feat, I don't think I could live this lifestyle even tho I like the idea of being able to travel with your home. Having to deal with water would be my biggest hurdle for sure, I need lots of water lol 😂

The Friendica.world offered a "web link install" on my phone, which made it easier to use than just the site on the browser. I can't find that option for this node, so I guess it doesn't support it? Which is a shame, as I do prefer the "web app" to the website in the browser like this.
