Alors que se prépare le trentième anniversaire de la dernière grève reconductible qui dura trois semaines durant l’hiver 1995, il est bon d’en rappeler le bilan : retrait d’une réforme des retraites, chute du gouvernement Juppé, paralysie politique des ambitions patronales jusqu’à la dissolution du Parlement décidée par le Président Chirac amenant au pouvoir une majorité PS/PC/Verts et Jospin au poste de Premier ministre. Une grève reconductible, c’est comme un tsunami en faveur des travailleurs et travailleuses !

Une grève reconductible, c’est comme un tsunami en faveur des travailleurs et travailleuses !
L’ambition de Juppé était de faire subir aux fonctionnaires et aux travailleureuses du secteur public la même défaite que Balladur avait imposée, hélas sans résistance, aux seuls salarié·es du privé deux ans plus tôt. Diviser pour mieux régner, classique. Mais voilà cheminot·es, salarié·es d’Edf, enseignant·es, fonctionnaires territorialeaux et hospitalier·es refusent de plier. Trois semaines de grève reconductible, avec autant d’Assemblées générales dans les services, de manifestations monstres sous la neige, de blocages audacieux autour des préfectures et au bout la dernière victoire syndicale sérieuse avant de repartir sur des journées de grève isolées dès 2010 qui finiront par échouer…jusqu’à aujourd’hui.
La guerre ? Quelle chance !
Sur fond de crise majeure provoquée par une rivalité exacerbée entre bourgeoisies internationales dominantes et expansions impérialistes décomplexées, le risque accru de guerre offre au gouvernement Macron le motif idéal pour aggraver les politiques d’austérité, de destruction des services publics et des acquis sociaux. La fanfare patriotique se déchaîne : mais êtes-vous prêt·es à vous sacrifier pour les parts de marchés des multinationales et des actionnaires gavés de dividendes ?
Un calendrier pour mobiliser
En 2023 malgré des journées de manifestations monstres Macron a pu imposer la retraite à 64 ans avec 43 années de cotisations pour un taux plein. La cause de la défaite est connue : pas de grève reconductible, pas d’AG démocratiques pour décider du lendemain. Pas d’impulsion suffisante de l’intersyndicale mais pas d’élan non plus venant de la base. Comment reconstruire la confiance collective, celle qui fit merveille en 1995 ? En redonnant voix à la colère populaire, en retrouvant le chemin de la grève pour les salaires et contre les injustices patronales, en reconstruisant un réseau de solidarité autour des syndicats combatifs, entreprise par entreprise, ville par ville. Les fédérations syndicales de la fonction publique doivent donner une pleine dimension à la journée du 3 avril qui manque cruellement de visibilité alors que la date approche. Le secteur privé peut profiter de cette date pour rejoindre les cortèges. Le Premier Mai, pour rituel qu’il soit trop souvent devenu, doit être préparé d’une manière exceptionnelle. Reste la date du 5 juin qui est dans le viseur. A l’occasion d’une niche parlementaire le NFP déposerait un projet de loi abrogeant la réforme des retraites. Si nous n’avons aucune illusion sur l’efficacité des joutes parlementaires pour gagner, cette date offre cependant une visibilité sur laquelle s’appuyer pour relancer la nécessité de la lutte. Et pourquoi pas réussir un mouvement de grève prolongé et victorieux avant l’été !

Sam has three suggestions: 1. Spend at least a couple hours a week enjoying a natural area with all your senses. 2. Learn to identify plant and animal species in your area. Personal note: I'm not a "there's an app for that" kind of person, but this is something good technology can really help with. You can be a citizen scientist submitting observations to iNaturalist. Apps like Merlin make it much easier (and fun!) to identify birds by song. 3. Go for a brisk walk within two hours of rising/daylight every day - among other benefits this sets your circadian rhythm so you can sleep well at night.

ik werk in een instelling voor gehandicaptenzorg. Onze bewoners (velen jonger dan 50) kregen deze prik ieder jaar. Nu dus niet meer? Dat betekent dat zij veel meer risico lopen om ziek te worden. Evenals de medewerkers. Schijnbaar is iedereen de ellende die Covid veroorzaakte in de instellingen voor ouderenzorg en gehandicaptenzorg weer vergeten.
Onze bewoners zijn het trouwens nog niet vergeten! Nog steeds zijn ze angstig als ze horen dat iemand corona heeft. De lockdowns, de quarantaine, het heeft een immense impact gehad voor hen.
Nou, ze hebben gelijk dat ze niet in de buurt willen komen als iemand corona heeft. 5 a 10% van de besmettingen leidt tot long covid (je loopt die kans dus elke besmetting weer opnieuw, ook als het de vorige keren goed ging). En een kwart van de mensen met long covid krijgt zo'n zware vorm dat ze ME ontwikkelen, en vaak huis of zelfs bedgebonden raken. De meesten van hen voorgoed.
Dat Nederland en een groot deel van de wereld heeft besloten dat de economie door moet draaien en we covid daarom gaan negeren, wil niet zeggen dat het er niet meer is.
