Palestine : 77 ans de Nakba, 18 mois de génocide

Alors que depuis plusieurs semaines Israël a renforcé son blocus à Gaza et son utilisation de la famine à des fins génocidaires, alors que les bombes continuent de pleuvoir, Netanyahou a annoncé lundi dernier vouloir « prendre le contrôle » de la zone. Il a lancé dimanche 18 mai une vaste opération au sol sous le nom « Chariot de Gédéon », offensive ultime pour vider Gaza de toute vie palestinienne.

Il a lancé dimanche 18 mai une vaste opération au sol sous le nom « Chariot de Gédéon », offensive ultime pour vider Gaza de toute vie palestinienne.

Depuis des mois, la guerre génocidaire que mêne Israël sur le territoire Palestinien de Gaza, couplée à son offensive coloniale en Cisjordanie, n’a rencontré aucune réelle protestation des grandes puissances impérialistes. S’alarmant récemment en façade contre l’utilisation de la famine, qui dure en réalité depuis bien longtemps, les gouvernements occidentaux ont tous participé de manières directe et indirecte à soutenir ce génocide par la vente d’armes, le "soutien inconditionnel" diplomatique et politique, ou le refus d’appliquer les mandats d’arrêt de la Cour Pénale Internationale. Ils devront en répondre devant l’histoire.

La France n’est pas en reste : ventes d’armes massives de Thalès à Israël, dissolution d’Urgence Palestine demandée par le ministre de l’intérieur, criminalisation du soutien au peuple palestinien, acharnement juridique et policier contre les organisations engagées dans celui-ci, maintien en prison de George Abdallah et, dernièrement incapacité honteuse de Macron à prononcer le terme de "génocide" pendant son défilé médiatique du 13 mai... La présence d’Israël et de ses entreprises d’armement au salon du Bourget du 16 au 22 juin prochain montre que le changement de discours apparent de la France n’est que de la poudre aux yeux : Macron a beau parler de "drame humanitaire" à Gaza, les mots ne sont suivis d’aucun acte à même d’entraver le génocide.

Alors que nous commémorions le 15 mai les 77 ans de la Nakba, expulsion de 700 000 à 800 000 Palestinien⸱nes par l’État sioniste suite à un nettoyage ethnique planifié, la catastrophe n’a jamais pris fin. Le génocide en cours à Gaza, et le plan de déportation mis en oeuvre par l’État d’Israël, est une nouvelle étape des crimes du sionisme. L’urgence n’est pas seulement à un cessez-le-feu : elle est à un véritable processus de décolonisation, qui mette fin, une fois pour toutes, à la longue Nakba du peuple Palestinien.

Notre rôle, depuis la France, est de lutter sans relâche contre la complicité de notre propre impérialisme, et pour un isolement politique et diplomatique d’Israël. La lutte contre l’armement apparaît comme un front prioritaire, que nous appelons à renforcer en investissant toutes les actions de la campagne Stop Arming Israël et de la campagne BDS, et plus généralement toutes les initiatives de solidarité avec le peuple Palestinien.

La Palestine vivra, la Palestine vaincra !

Yes....I noticed that too. You know there were many loud people and projects for the past decade or so. Some protesting, some proposing radical alternatives to this so called "capitalist" society. Meaning this trade-based society. They are all kinda gone now...

I am one of them. Since 2011 I scream and scream and scream. And do all sorts of projects.

But the truth is that we are like trying to grow a crop in the middle of Times Square. There is no fertile soil, only concrete and people trying to stop you doing it.

There is no help for me to create and maintain the so many projects I do. There is no support for the so many good-willing people out there who want to protect nature, do good deeds, amazing projects, open source, and so on. NOTHING.

We have to fend for ourselves - to find ways to trade and stay alive, while doing these things. There is no way forward like that.

We are bound to perish.

I keep on surviving, surprisingly enough, with more projects than I started in 2011. But my reach is hundreds of times less than it was in 2011. I have to trade at times to make some money, I have to stress over not having enough to make it, I have to do a ton of work that should be done by 10 people normally.

The financial support is bleeding out, the interest I feel is not even present that much.

It all sounds very pessimistic but it is the truth. However I am still not giving up. I have new ideas and approaches.

And I know there are MANY MANY people out there who still keep the flame of revolting and activism alive, and all they need is a bit of fertile soil to thrive. But to get that fertile soil, the help, is really hard. And perhaps that is where the focus should be.

Maybe TROM will start to focus on that bit...

If you are one of us, don't despair. You are for sure not alone. Maybe new projects and forms of activism will arise out of the stagnant frustration and anger that so many have layered within.

A system in which its members cannot even have the time and means to protest or propose/work on alternatives, is an abusive system. It only wants for "it" to survive, as it is the only way for its members to stay afloat. Therefore humans have to trade in the trade system, to survive. That is the forced incentive. Anything else can only temporarily survive.

The trade game has to go.

STEPS:

1. Provide the basic needs as trade-free: healthcare, education, communication, food, shelter, etc..
2. Provide a Universal Basic Income to everyone, no strings attached.

This is how we allow people to focus on what they see as important. To have time to get informed and inform others. To get involved, to help, to thrive.

Nothing else will work!
