Dans un contexte d’inflation particulièrement violent pour les travailleurs et travailleuses d’Europe, la Confédération Européenne des Syndicats (CES) a impulsé une campagne de mobilisation contre l’austérité d’octobre à décembre 2023. Un échec attendu qui pousse à questionner la stratégie internationaliste de la CGT.

Mouvement européen contre l’austérité : Après l’échec des euromanifs, comment rebondir ?

Il faut dire que si la question des salaires est centrale dans la vie des salarié·es, il était difficile de convaincre des collègues de se mettre en grève sur une journée isolée, sans stratégie compréhensible de la part de l’intersyndicale. Sans surprise, la grève n’a pas pris. En conséquence, s’en sont suivies des manifestations réduites, regroupant principalement les militantes et militants syndicaux habituel·les.

Pire encore, les travailleuses et travailleurs de France furent les seuls à avoir répondu par la grève à l’appel à la mobilisation de la CES. Finalement, le seul élément international marquant de cette mobilisation aura été la présence à Paris de mille délégué·es – revendiqué·es – de confédérations syndicales non-françaises.

Deux mois plus tard, l’euromanif bruxelloise n’a pas été beaucoup plus impressionnante, bien qu’un nombre important de syndicalistes français aient fait le déplacement : sur les 15 000 manifestant·es, la CGT revendique le déplacement de 3 000 de ses membres. Une dynamique à mettre en perspective avec la faible présence des autres syndicats français, (200 manifestant·es CFDT selon nos militants).

Pour ce qui est des autres syndicats, leur présence était pour le mieux anecdotique. On note principalement la présence de la CGIL (Italie), de la FGTB (Belgique) et de la CSC (Belgique également), seule organisation syndicale de collaboration de classe qui a réellement mobilisé (en jouant à domicile).

Les limites de la CES

Si cette manifestation fût donc principalement un témoignage de colère, elle permit tout de même de renforcer les liens entre syndicalistes de différents pays. Nous avons pu par exemple assister à un moment de camaraderie entre ouvriers et ouvrières du BTP belges et français·es, organisé dans les locaux de la fédération du bâtiment de la FGTB.

Autre scène d’union, les échanges de drapeaux ou de goodies entre différents pays furent monnaie courante. Si ces moments de rencontre et d’échanges sont essentiels à la construction d’une solidarité de classe à l’échelle européenne, ils se sont malheureusement inscrits dans une manifestation perdue d’avance.

Disons-le sans détour : ces deux mobilisations n’ont rien changé au rapport de force avec la bourgeoisie européenne. Le parlement européen a bel et bien voté le plan d’austérité le 17 janvier. Basées sur le calendrier institutionnel, ces deux dates s’inscrivent dans la ligne de la stratégie lobbyiste de la CES : le 13 octobre comme le 12 décembre, aucun appel à la grève au niveau européen !

Dans ces conditions, la manifestation bruxelloise en pleine semaine ne fût rien d’autre qu’un défilé de militant·es disposant de droits syndicaux. Cette croyance dans le dialogue social avec les institutions européennes revient pour les syndicalistes à croire au Père Noël face à une bourgeoisie radicalisée.

Construite dans les années 1970 par des syndicats de collaboration de classe, elle n’a été rejointe que plus tard par des syndicats plus combatifs (CGT, CGIL). Si ceux-ci cherchent à y construire une culture du rapport de force, l’orientation majoritaire de la CES est toujours celle de la cogestion avec le capitalisme européen.

Des euromanifs aux eurogrèves ?

Comment construire un cadre capable d’impulser un rapport de force contre la bourgeoisie et les institutions européennes ? Comment passer des euromanifs aux eurogrèves ? Face aux lobbyistes mous de la CES, certains voudraient un retour de la CGT dans la Fédération Syndicale Mondiale (FSM). Cette dernière, survivance du bloc soviétique, n’est en réalité pas plus radicale que sa concurrente.

Elle est bien molle quand il s’agit de dénoncer les dictatures iranienne, nord-coréenne ou syrienne, dont les « syndicats » qui la constituent sont plutôt des organismes d’encadrement de la classe ouvrière au service du pouvoir. Aucun avenir donc pour la CGT dans cette relique poussiéreuse de l’URSS !

Mais comment dépasser ce clivage CES / FSM qui s’invite à chaque congrès confédéral ? Deux perspectives reviennent souvent. La première, dont le réalisme est à débattre, voudrait construire un nouvel outil international autour de la CGT. C’est par exemple le pari entrepris de son côté par Solidaires, qui a su participer à la construction d’un syndicalisme alternatif capable d’initiatives (comme du soutien matériel aux travailleurs et travailleuses d’Ukraine), mais qui reste marginal.

Si la CGT serait probablement en capacité d’emmener avec elle quelques syndicats combatifs européens, ce cadre risquerait lui aussi de rester minoritaire. La seconde, stratégie actuelle de la direction confédérale, voudrait changer la CES de l’intérieur. Partir de cet outil ancré dans les masses (45 millions d’adhérent·es) est tentant, mais tant que la CGT y restera minoritaire, elle risque de ne servir que de réservoir à militant·es quand les syndicats de collaboration de classe en garderont le contrôle politique.

Cette question est centrale pour les syndicalistes révolutionnaires pour qui la construction d’une solidarité de classe européenne et internationale est primordiale. À nous de faire vivre ce débat dans nos syndicats et unions locales pour que la CGT se dote d’une stratégie à la hauteur de l’enjeu !

As I have said many times, recycling plastic is not a solution, but rather a convenient distraction and a way to shift the responsibility of large companies for mass production of plastic onto the shoulders of the people. There are some very disturbing news that recycling is not going to help in a long run and there is only 5-6% of collected plastics estimated as being recycled (!). On the other hand, the poorest countries and regions suffer the most from toxic waste products and landfills, because this brings the greatest profit, and if this is still the case, the problem will never be solved.

We need more trade-free goods and services that can be designed from the scratch to reduce the waste, instead of generation the endless profit or competition advantage. In this way, more devices and products that are reusable, free to use, repairable, and durable can benefit our Planet's environment and Human society as a whole.

that's great to hear. Because you know when my videos are not seen by many I always tend to think that it's because my production suck. Especially storytelling, like people get bored watching it, and it's my fault, because i have work more on the story flow and how to make it interesting. So I work a lot on that, to improve it. But then maybe it's not me, but the overall topics I choose to highlight, the algorithm game, values and interests of the people, and over saturation of content . In other words it's a mystery to me, which I try to solve, to understand what should i do next to make more people care about such stuff.

Yeah every year there are hibernating around 8000 bats and 13 different species

From my perspective and others' too, you not only do good, but great at that. To me it seems like a BBC production at times haha, like the documentaries I watch from BBC. I think is the way you follow the volunteers, the camera work, but also the audio like you feel that you are there when you watch it. It follows the story very well. You also add the human factor there, with the people involved and interview them a little bit and that makes it more personal - not just some researchers going through some caves, but you see these are real people who care about what they do.

Overall from my perspective you do great. The subjects you pick are very interesting for me, but yeah for today's retarded society may not be that attractive like most science/educational content is. But definitely I would not say the videos are boring. Quite the opposite.

Yeah I think you do a fantastic job with your videos, @Dima really professional and really interesting, from the story-telling, to the interviews, to the cuts, music and everything. It's just that in today's world, you have to make 10-second dancing videos to get lots of views. Where are those, Dima?!?!? 😆

In February I've joined Slovakian Bat Conservation Society for their yearly census of bats in Opal mines. That's the oldest opal mines in the world, for around 100 they been closed, and recently opened for tourism. But it also perfect place for bats to hibernate during winter. And that's why it's the best time to count them to monitor their population.
