The makers of , the Fediverse photo sharing platform, have just created a slick new guide to the Fediverse at:
fediverse.info
It's got a list of Fedi projects, a list of mobile apps for Fedi platforms and an opt-in directory of people to follow.
The directory is particularly interesting as it works very differently to FediFollows or Trunk. You add hashtags to your profile plus a special extra hashtag # Fedi22 , then submit your profile to the site, and it will become searchable for the tags in your profile.

For any #tinfoilhat fans out there (Sam Tripoli) you'll be happy to know his episodes are mirrored on his very own #peertube instance tinfoilhat@vid.samtripoli.com and thanks to the magic that is #activitypub you can follow the latest releases directly from #mastodon :) The view counts on the videos are truly incredible since they're embedded on his main website. The part that I enjoy the most is the fact that most of his audience has no idea of technology being used
Apparently there is an influx of new people. (I can't tell from where I sit other than people saying there is.) In times like this, I just like to keep my head down. My favored use of social media is slow and deliberate. I like kind, genuine people. The other social media never worked well for me, but the fediverse has generally worked (even before Mastodon came along).
Welcome aboard to any new users. Be patient, be kind, and I hope you find a nice spot here.

My favourite is the Talk app which lets you run your own instant messaging service 😍
Bear in mind apps are made by different people and may be in different states of readiness, so do read comments and check date of last update.

My partner is looking for time-tracking software.
Anyone here using an Android app that automatically tracks time spent at specific locations using GPS data? She has tried "Smarter Time" but she says it's pretty buggy.
She does not want a manual tracking app, because she doesn't want to start and stop the timer. She wants to be able to activate it at will, and leave it on until her workday is over, and then get a report for invoicing.
