GoFundMe closed my account in secrecy.

This is the type of insanity and fuckery that makes you wanna give up on this world. So so unfair.

I made a donation campaign to help me pay for the yearly camper insurance since I cannot pay it by myself especially since I am on my own after Sasha exited herself from our relationship. The camper is my home. If I lose that all of my projects are in danger, of course. So if people help me they also help all of the many TROM projects we have.

I made the campaign and asked for 600€. This is the content of the campaign:

This past year has been an absolute nightmare for me. Health issues, my girlfriend left me, financial problems, etc.. I was able to support myself via the monthly donations I get from TROM, barely, but now being alone I cannot afford these big expenses. So I have to ask for help,

It’s always like that, and I hate asking for this sort of help, but is not much I can about.

Thank you to anyone who can help out. If a miracle happens and I get more than this amount then I can fix some problems with the car, like the front suspensions that cost a lot of money (650€ …), or buy a new window (big one) for the camper because the one I have is cracked and it rains inside of it.

At least I hope to raise the money to pay for the insurance. My savings are around 1.000 Euros (maybe) and I can pay for it from that, but then I am too close to being totally broke. I need some savings in case of emergency situations.

After 2 days and a single anonymous 10€ donation, I got this email from GoFundMe (in German, for some reason – I even thought it is Spam). Translated:

Hello,

We regret to inform you that GoFundMe can no longer process donations for your account. We have removed your GoFundMe account, including all associated campaigns.

Furthermore, we have initiated refunds for all donations to your campaign that have not yet been paid out; the respective donors will receive their funds back within the next 3–7 business days.

Unfortunately, we cannot provide details regarding the reasons for this action. This measure is taken to ensure the security of our platform.

Thank you for your understanding.

I ignored it for a day and did not even translate that message because I thought it was spam, until my friend Roko asked me what happened to the campaign because the link is not working. I checked and indeed the campaign was gone. I translated the german message and I was shocked…

So was this an issue with that anonymous donation I got or what?? What can I do if a donor donates in a suspicious way to my campaign…or what this has to do with me?

And that’s it! The secrecy is insane. WTF has happened one might wonder…I will probably never ever know.

This is what happens when you rely on these platforms…they can shut you down WITHOUT any explanation. This should be ILLEGAL.

The Universe was already against me. After so many problems attacking me for the past year, for the past week I had to urgently fly to Romania after my father had the 5th stroke. I am helping my parents move back to Spain because the healthcare system in Romania is a disaster. A lot of stress, lack of money….terrible situation I am in. I barely had time to create this donation campaign and I got it shut down like that.

Nothing works for me. I am cursed. If I were to believe in such nonsense I would have all the reasons to go mental about it. Final Destination: Cursed.

I will make the campaign again as soon as I can….because I have little choice. I need help. Likely I will make a campaign to pay for our servers for a year, so I can pay the insurance with my own savings.

Life sucks. And I really really look forward to when it wont suck anymore. Let’s see.

Look, if I were to live in this town, in this tribe, and I speak this language. I grow up here. Is not paradise, but is ok. I know some people, some shops where I buy food from, I have a life routine. Then some people from other tribes come here, they do not speak the local language (the only one I know), they may sell drugs on the streets, make a bit of a mess, are loud and different…I will get bothered! It is normal. Let alone if they come in with all sorts of crazy ideas like religion…it may feel like a nightmare to me. We have to understand this aspect too.

But also the fact that the vast majority of immigrants are going to integrate and are as good or bad as the locals. Only a minority of immigrants go on to commit crimes, especially violent ones. And broadly, the crimes committed by immigrants are a mix of political and media exaggeration, socio-economic pressures, police practices, discrimination, etc..

The ghosts of five supernovas haunt this extraordinary image. It was acquired at Oukaïmeden Observatory in Morocco with approximately 200 hours of observations and shows a large patch of the sky, equivalent to the area of one thousand full moons tiled together, in the constellation of Auriga (the charioteer). From left to right, the five supernova remnants visible across the field are G181.1+9.5, G182.4+4.3, G179.0+2.6, G180.0−1.7 (Sh2-240, the Spaghetti Nebula), and G178.2−4.2. They are highlighted in the annotated image, together with open cluster M37 and the Tadpole Nebula. As each explosion expanded into space, it created a growing shell of shocked gas and delicate filamentary structures shown in red (hydrogen) and blue (oxygen), respectively. These ancient stellar explosions happened independently; they are at various distances up to about several thousands of light-years away from Earth and have estimated ages up to tens of thousands of years old. Early humans may have seen them as bright new stars, fading over weeks or months.

How to certify (homologate) your solar panels in Spain

This is what took me to "certify" my solar panels in Spain. Homologacion.

1. Contact a Homoloacion company in Spain. I used normacar.com/ for Catalonie.
2. Send them what they ask you for - usually photos with the things you want to homologate and some personal details.
3. It takes 1-2 weeks to finish the papers. They will send them to you as PDF via email.
4. Print the papers and go to an iTV center and ask for an appointment to send the papers to DGT.
5. After the papers are sent to DGT via the ITV center, ask for an appointment with the engineer at the ITV to finalize the certification.
6. You have to go to the ITV and have the wizard engineer take a few photos with your camper and you are done.

Costs around 220€ for the first step of making the homologation papers, and some 50-80€ for these ITV inspections and taxes.

Perhaps the most telling example is what the teacher Jane Elliott did with her students in 1968.

She thought to divide the kids based on the color of their eyes: Blue Eyes and Brown Eyes. One day she would treat one group better at the expenses of the other. She quickly noticed that the group that was treated better, performed better, were happier, etc., and the opposite was true for the other group of kids who struggled in class.

Soon she started to see how the kids hated each other, and insulted each other based on this random physical difference.

I recommend the documentary A Class Divided to see the purest example of where the hatred against “the others” usually comes from and how physical differences emerge as weapons in this fight.

Ironically when Romania became part of the EU some 20 years ago, many poor Romanians “invaded” the other EU countries to make a living, just like my family did. And with it came a lot of crimes since these Romanians were desperate to make money, and could not easily get good jobs abroad, didn’t know other languages, and so forth, therefore stealing, scamming, and lying were efficient tools to make a quick buck. And so for many years “Romanians” were the “Gypsies” of Europe. You would feel a bit ashamed to say that you are Romanian, since many thought of them as thieves and scammers. Same Romanians discriminating against Gypsies. The irony…

But now that less and less Romanians are engaging in these “acts of making a quick buck” and more and more have “real jobs” and a better life in Europe, the hate and discrimination against Romanians kinda faded away.

Irony again: People from Pakistan and India started to migrate to Romania for a better wage. Considering Romania has some of the lowest, if not the lowest wages in Europe, I am shocked anyone would migrate there for making money. But well, since now the Pakistani and Indians can work for even less than the Romanians, often for food delivery services, there seem to be an anger against these “brown intruders” who take our jobs and do not speak our language or care about our culture. Such an irony.
