Today, north of Spain, coastline. Inside the motorhome 38.5C. A record!
The AC would not make a difference to be honest. Unless you were to stay closed in the top bed and let it run nonstop there. Luckily I went to my sister's apartment for the day.
Else I usually use the AC like this, but today it would not cope:
To blow cold air towards me and my laptop, or we both could die.
Insane temperatures these days!

It is astonishing to think that I can take a full shower with less water than it takes to flush a toilet.
I consume around 4-5L of water for the shower, and to flush it takes 6-8L. One pee, one flush, and you consume more water than it takes me to have a 20 minutes shower.
In Spain, where I am, people use 128L of water per day, per person. As much as I use in almost 3 weeks.

This is the final video about our power system. Since we use 2 completely different and independent power systems, I thought we are in an ideal position to compare the two since we always switch between them.
On one hand we have a Bluetti AC180 power unit connected to 260W of solar, on the other we have a custom built power system with 2x100Ah 12V EcoWorthy batteries, a Victron 100/50 MPPT, and a 1000W inverter - all connected to 650W of solar power.
We will compare the specs, the costs, the reliability, upgradability and repairability.

910W of solar panels. 3.500Wh of battery storage. 2 completely independent power systems. And yet they can connect to each other and we can switch between them in seconds.
We can also charge from the car alternator or the shore power.
We use a Bluetti AC180 and two EcoWorthy 12V 100Ah batteries. Plus a Bluetti Charger 1.
Insane system but it works wonders!
As a side note this is my first video with the Osmo Pocket 3 camera I just bought. The quality of this camera is really great, especially combined with the DJI Mic Mini. I love it. Makes ma want to make more videos. Especially for TROM. So let's see...

When our water heater stopped working we felt like it was a big big deal. Of course not having hot running water is a very uncomfortable situation. But we reinvented our shower to have hot running water. A better system that is 100 times more reliable than the water heater.
Funny enough when we started to make the video about the new solution, our water heater came back from the dead and started working. Even so I, Tio, still prefer our new shower solution that anyone can actually setup in any van probably.
It costs 50 Euros and you need a water pump, a collapsible bucket, and a kettle.

War is too close, the explosions I saw with my own eyes have made my health unstable, not saying about psychical state... I've changed my location once again to recover a bit, where it is much more quieter. But the inner tension never dropped off.
I want to live a life, but I see no better times regarding future of where I am now... Now I am surviving and kinda looking just like you in terms of tiredness. So much stress...

In my neighborhood there was already 4 very close explosions, so just a few days ago I've decided to move out from Kyiv, our capital, and have a luck in some village. Lost the home in 2022, lost lots of friends, but oh well at least I am surviving somehow :D

If you're a soldier, you can not leave the army until badly injured or killed in action. If youre not yet in army, you can not leave the country itself because the borders are locked till the war ends.
I think we're just too convenient in terms of geo strategy. Our country is the shield of EU, where we're staying in the middle between russian invasive forces and "the civilised world". And it is not enough help from other countries to really END the war. Every company, every market or single person has its own interest in using the situation and make or lounder huge amounts of money out of it. The corruption levels are staggering here. And noone knows when this shit will end. The full-scale invasion from russia started in 2022, and it only getting worse from that point. The slowly pacing invasion started even earlier in 2014, but since 2022 and especially since last couple years there is almost no chance to leave the country.
Well except if you're ultra-rich ofc and can buy yourself a ticket to some EU country or Dubai or Monaco, etc. I don't have 50000$ for such a bargain, unfortunately.
I am with my girlfriend, but half of my family is in occupation, and half are left the country because they were able to. Women left, men stayed, that is...

I hope at least you can avoid drafting and you and your girlfriend stay safe and take care of each other.

in reply to Tio • •Everyone is forced nowadays, but I have a work, and if your company's profit turnover is big enough, your drafting can be delayed in time. Someone must handle the economic aspect too, someone must work for the system so the system could survive the war times...
Bribery is not an option for me personally, I am against this stuff. I want to be honest with myself, so I do not give out my hard-earned money and resources, etc. Because I need to live on something, pay the bills, rent the flats... And renting a flat is really pricey here nowadays.
For now I am happy that at least I managed to move a bit farther from constant explosions, to a place where the bombing is not so frequent.
