Nobody Talks About This. But Raptors Are Dying Every Day - videos.trom.tf/w/atoW9hxs4viTN…
This film follows my volunteer work with a raptor conservation team. Many Saker Falcons, eagles and other raptors die from electrocution on unprotected power poles. In the field, we search for carcasses, collect data, and identify dangerous poles so they can be isolated. There is also a rescue center and an experimental aviary testing safer designs. This is how science can protect wildlife.

in reply to TROM • • •Przewalski's horse is a breed born of past domestication, and neither of these projects is "conservation".
Hortobagy National Park has many other conservation concerns to (try to) deal with

in reply to bellule • •What do yo mean you cannot bring a species back? Aren't there plenty of such examples?
Can you give me more info about that?
Also I'll tag @Dima in case he wants to reply.

in reply to Tio • • •When a species becomes extinct, well, that's the end of it. It's too late.
When a population of a species has disappeared, it's possible to reintroduce it, using individuals from elsewhere, on the express condition that the causes of its local disappearance have been eliminated.
The Auroch is an extinct species, although we're tinkering with backwards selection

in reply to bellule • •I see what you mean. I am unsure how they define an extinct species here - maybe they mean a species is extinct from a particular environment, or all natural environments, but still exists in captivity. See en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Extinct_…
For sure I agree that if the causes of extinction are not dealt with, reintroducing it is probably not going to work.
en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Aurochs I see what you mean.
