FHEM
FHEM (TM) is a GPLβd perl server for house automation. It is used to automate some common tasks in the household like switching lamps / shutters / heating / etc. and to log events like temperature / humidity / power consumption.
The program runs as a server, you can control it via web or smartphone frontends, telnet or TCP/IP directly.
In order to use FHEM youβll need a 24/7 server (NAS, RPi, PC, MacMini, etc) with a perl interpreter and some attached hardware like the CUL-, EnOcean-, Z-Wave-USB-Stick, etc. to access the actors and sensors.
It is pronounced without the h, like in feminine.

OpenSCAD
OpenSCAD is a free software application for creating solid 3D computer-aided design (CAD) objects. It is a script-only based modeller that uses its own description language; parts can be previewed, but cannot be interactively modified by mouse in the 3D view. An OpenSCAD script specifies geometric primitives (such as spheres, boxes, cylinders, etc.) and defines how they are modified and combined (for instance by intersection, difference, envelope combination and Minkowski sums) to render a 3D model. As such, the program does constructive solid geometry (CSG). OpenSCAD is available for Windows, Linux and macOS.

When the trade based society we live in, makes us all want to trade like insane robots, then you can't fix anything unless you fix society. Period. And these "technological" solutions are a mere scapegoat for the best players of the game, who have no interest in changing the game. After all, they are having lots of fun.

ANd ofc he did not go through some of the important tweaks that we have done, like I do not know any distro that comes with a VPN, or fixes the XFCE zombie apps, or syncs the theme, icons and fonts across most apps (he did emphasized tho about this). And so forth. In any case, awesome to finally see TROMjaro featured to such a good linux channel. Overall good. Been casually following this channel for many years now, actually one of the first linux ytb channels. The guy seems very nice, calm, and to the point.
Anyway, great to see this.
