Union des droites : vers l’Internationale fasciste

La réélection de Trump et le salut nazi de Musk, son bras droit, laissent peu de place au doute sur l’idéologie politique à la tête des États-Unis. Si le fascisme a comme point d’orgue la présidentielle américaine, il se construit à l’internationale avec l’appui des principaux partis d’extrême droite en France, en Italie, en Hongrie, en Angleterre ou encore son appui au régime Israélien.

L’internationale fasciste s’organise entre des grands patrons et des personnalités politiques telles Elon Musk via des rencontres régulières. Ce dernier multiplie les rencontres avec les chefs de file des différents partis de droite en Europe en témoignant d’abord son soutien à l’AfD, profitant de son réseau social X pour organiser un débat public. Musk ne limite pas son soutien au versant légal mais également à ses branches plus directement violentes : récemment il a exigé la libération de Tommy Robinson, un militant fasciste à l’origine des émeutes raciales de l’été 2024 en Angleterre.

Cette vague ne s’arrête pas à Trump et Musk. Des entreprises françaises ont également financé la campagne américaine, comme Sanofi, Airbus ou EDF. Par ailleurs, le 8 février, un congrès à Madrid réunissait l’extrême ­droite européenne sur le mot ­d’ordre « Make Europe Great Again ».

Les ingérences de Musk dans la politique des autres pays trouvent leur logique dans le projet de fonder une internationale des extrêmes droites, fidèle à la vocation hégémonique du fascisme. La volonté de créer une conjonction des extrêmes droites était déjà présente durant l’entre-deux guerres. La transmission et la reprise de symboles étaient en effet déjà à l’œuvre.

Si cette internationale fasciste ne s’est jamais structurée politiquement, il y a eu des influences et des emprunts entre ses différents courants avec en jeu la création d’un imaginaire commun. Celui-ci domine aujourd’hui sur les réseaux sociaux et dans les principaux médias. Il est repris et amplifié sur la scène politique à droite comme à gauche.

L’oligarchie des vieux hommes blancs

L’imaginaire construit par le fascisme s’inspire du libertarianisme. Musk en est peut-être la figure la plus connue, mais d’autres entrepreneurs de start-ups participent de cette tendance. ­L’idée est de gouverner l’État comme une entreprise et de mettre fin à la démocratie. Le libertarianisme est une pensée d’extrême droite parfaitement soluble dans le suprémacisme blanc. Ce courant, créé par ­Murray ­Rothbard, place au centre la propriété privée et présente déjà bien des accointances avec des régimes autoritaires. Son auteur a largement contribué à un rapprochement avec la droite conservatrice. Pour lui, la société libre se fonde sur le droit de discriminer.

On retrouve cette logique à l’œuvre autour de la liberté d’expression, régulièrement invoquée à droite pour émettre des opinions racistes. En plus du libertarianisme, le suprémacisme blanc est le noyau dur des mouvements réactionnaires, notamment par le biais de la ­thèse du « grand remplacement » [1]. Cette idée revient régulièrement lors des attentats de terroristes d’extrême droite à travers le ­globe. Elle permet de jouer sur l’immigration en remettant au goût du jour une idée déjà présente dans le fascisme de l’entre-deux-guerres : la purification du corps social.

Tout en propageant cette idée, les extrême droites actuelles camouflent leur racisme. Cette stratégie n’est pas nouvelle mais simplement adaptée au contexte actuel. Elle ne vise pas seulement à camoufler le fond idéologique du discours mais à le faire passer dans l’ensemble de la société. Par ailleurs, il est commun aux mouvements fascistes de récupérer des éléments qui ne sont pas à proprement parler issus de la droite et même de puiser allègrement dans le répertoire de la gauche réformiste ou révolution­naire. C’est une normalisation des idées qui fonctionne au point que les discours, les symboles et les actes historiques du fascisme sont mis en scène sans rencontrer de condamnation.

L’échec de l’antifascisme libéral

Les réseaux sociaux sont un accélérateur qui permet d’atteindre rapidement une globalisation des idées. Cependant, trop souvent l’analyse de la montée du fascisme se centre sur la critique des réseaux sociaux ou du complotisme à travers les fakes news. Une telle analyse ne fait pas grand mal, elle ne met pas en cause la responsabilité politique des organisations et elle peut être reprise à bon compte pour des initiatives libérales.

Si la stratégie de propagande de Musk peut s’appuyer sur la sidération, c’est qu’il sait que les institutions bourgeoises sont déjà plus ou moins acquises au fascisme. Bien avant d’être un promoteur fasciste, Musk était un parfait héros du libéralisme qui l’a depuis longtemps présenté comme un génie fantasque. Cette image sert de défense à toutes ses actions, alimentée par un fond de psycophobie, au point de trouver toutes les raisons à un salut nazi pourtant évident.

Les institutions bourgeoises sont incapables de reconnaître le fascisme, ou en n’en faisant qu’une dénonciation morale. Aller plus loin serait déjà reconnaître son fricotage avec le fascisme. L’antifascisme promu par la démocratie libérale n’a pas réellement de consistance et repose sur la collaboration de classes. Il ne peut pas proposer d’actions autres que symboliques pour freiner son émergence : le fameux barrage républicain ou l’appel à des valeurs morales tout en renvoyant l’antifacsisme à un mouvement violent.

Ce qui a fait la force du mouvement antifasciste, c’est sa capacité à créer du lien à travers une communauté en plus d’avoir une forte dimension d’autodéfense, que celle-ci soit physique par la lutte contre les milices, ou matérielle par des actions de solidarité et d’entraide. Au niveau européen, les actions de Trump et Musk sont vues comme une concurrence économique déloyale rapidement camouflée derrière un combat pour la justice. La résurgence de régimes fascistes à l’échelle internationale ne peut être combattue avec un antifascisme de posture.

Alles wat je niet wilt weten over #COVID:

- COVID is #airborne: het verspreid zich met name via minuscule zwevende druppeltjes door de lucht. Die kunnen uren in een kamer blijven hangen, en blijven dan besmettelijk. Afstand houden heeft alleen effect op grote druppels, maar niet op deze aerosolen.

- Covid is niet "mild".

- Infectieschade is cumulatief.

- Het maakt je vatbaarder voor andere infecties en ziekten.

- Er is geen genezing voor #longCOVID.

- De #pandemie is nog niet voorbij.

- Het dragen van een FFP2 #masker vermindert de overdracht wel enorm, tot 99%.

- Vaccineren & boosteren blijft nodig. Als je al meermaals besmet bent geraakt zonder long covid te krijgen biedt dat helaas geen enkele garantie voor de volgende keer. Vaccinatie vermindert je kans op long covid met de helft voor meerdere maanden (en het slaat nergens op dat je maar eens in het jaar een prik kunt krijgen)

- Als je covid krijgt is het ongelofelijk belangrijk dat je:

1. Thuis blijft en geen anderen besmet (of alleen met een FFP2 masker anderen opzoekt) - het kan voor mensen met slechte afweer nog steeds dodelijk zijn, of je geliefden levenslang long covid bezorgen.

2. Rustig uitziekt.
We weten nog steeds niet precies waarom de één long covid krijgt en de ander niet, maar van één mechanisme zijn we zeker: als je nog niet goed beter bent en dan toch al over je grenzen gaat, is dat de beste manier om long covid te ontwikkelen. Dit is de reden dat erg veel super gezonde topsporters long covid krijgen.

- Van de mensen die long covid krijgen, ontwikkelt ongeveer 25% de ernstigste vorm, met ME. #ME is een multisysteemziekte die je ook op kunt lopen van bijvoorbeeld Pfeiffer of Q-koorts.
Mensen met ME raken totaal uitgeput van de kleinste prikkels. Het is een soort straf op leven: alles wat leven de moeite waard maakt put je zo ontzettend uit dat je er uren, dagen of zelfs jaren ziek van wordt, alsof je een zware griep hebt.
Ongeveer de helft van de mensen met ME kan nooit meer werken, een kwart is nagenoeg of helemaal bedlegerig.

Dat wil je niet meemaken.

Het gaat bij die laatste, zeer ernstig zieke groep mensen om tienduizenden. Een groot deel van hen wordt nooit meer beter.

Je denkt dat ze niet bestaan omdat je ze niet ziet: ze zitten opgesloten in hun huis, omringd door een vijandige samenleving die hun ziekte het liefst negeert of zelfs agressief ontkent.

Kijken we naar het totaal van mensen met long covid, inclusief mildere vormen (die vaak met veel rust en maanden tot jaren uitzitten, nog wel genezen) dan hebben we het over honderdduizenden Nederlanders.

Nu de overheid heeft besloten om de ernst van covid simpelweg te ontkennen, en de honderdduizenden mensen met long covid af te schepen met een fooi voor een paar long covidklinieken die slechts genoeg financiën hebben om enkele tientallen patiënten te ondersteunen (en een methode voor genezing is er überhaupt niet), is er maar één ding wat je kunt doen.

Probeer zo min mogelijk besmet te raken, en als je toch besmet raakt, besmet dan geen anderen en ziek zo rustig mogelijk uit.

Wat helpt om besmetting te voorkomen is:
- goed aansluitende #FFP2 maskers
- mensen in de buitenlucht ontmoeten in plaats van binnen
- luchtzuivering met HEPA filters voor binnen (je kunt al een mobiel stil apparaat kopen voor in je huiskamer vanaf een euro of 85)
- een tip waar al wel bewijs voor is, maar waar nog meer onderzoek naar moet worden gedaan: bepaalde neussprays met algen blokkeren de receptoren in je neus, waardoor covid maar ook verkoudheid en griep veel minder kans hebben om je te besmetten. In Nederland is dit middel te bestellen onder de merknaam Algovir.
- Hoe meer van deze tips je tegelijkertijd inzet, hoe minder kans je op besmetting hebt.

Op dit moment is het aantal besmettingen in Nederland gelukkig heel laag, maar dat blijft niet zo. Over een paar weken of een maand komt er weer een nieuwe variant, die de getallen omhoog zal jagen. Dat is geen doomsday prediking, maar gewoon hoe evolutie werkt.

Zo lang de wereld niets doet tegen verspreiding, zal covid blijven muteren. Dat elke nieuwe covid variant minder heftig is, is een sprookje. Of een nieuwe variant zwaarder is of niet, is volstrekt random. Het enige wat je zeker weet, is dat als er een nieuwe variant dominant wordt, dat deze besmettelijker is dan de vorige. Anders zou die namelijk niet dominant worden.

Heel, heel veel warmte voor de mensen met long covid. De één heeft slechts maanden last, de ander is levenslang aan huis gebonden, of zelfs aan bed. De één is slechts doodmoe en ruikt bijvoorbeeld niets meer, de ander kan niet eens rechtop gaan zitten zonder flauw te vallen. De één wordt beter, de ander niet.
Juist de ernstigste vormen hebben helaas minder kans om beter te worden, hoewel ik ook mensen ken met heel zware vormen, jarenlang, die daarna toch deels opknapten, soms tijdelijk, maar soms ook (naar het zich laat aanzien) definitief.

Here is a short documentary which I've made for one documentary competition. Basically it's about my music life and my life of environmentalist. I went trough a lot of old archive footage for the last 23 years to make this video, it was interesting to see and remember so much which somehow been forgotten.
In such moments I understand the value of "saving" some of our lives moments. With pictures, sounds, or videos. All of this usually don't feel something important, but looking back 20 years I really was experiencing joy of finding some old - home made videos or pictures. Something unimportant and not significant suddenly feels like a treasure.

One thing I've learned over the past few weeks, and it's been a bit of a sobering lesson, is that a lot of Americans I know don't actually know what's going on between the US and Canada right now, and just how seriously Canadians are taking this. So, against my better judgement, here's a timeline to explain why we're here, and why we're angry.

Nov 30th, 2018 - The United States, Canada and Mexico finalize a trade agreement. Trump personally negotiates the terms and signs the document, celebrating it as 'the greatest trade agreement in history". (This is important.)
Nov 29th, 2024 - In a face to face meeting, Trump threatens the Canadian Prime Minister, Justin Trudeau, that he will be imposing 25% tariffs and that if Canada wants to avoid that, it should join the US as a state.
Nov 30th, 2024 - Trump publicly calls our Prime Minister 'Governor Trudeau' and instructs his staff to only address him as Governor going forward. He again suggests Canada should join the USA.
Dec 3rd, 2024 - Trump remarks that he would split Canada into two states once annexed.
Dec 10th, 2024 - Trump posts that the majority of Canadians support annexation, despite public polling that only 13% of Canadians would consider the idea.
Dec 18th, 2024 - Trump again falsely states that the majority of Canadians support annexation and that one of his lapdogs, Wayne Gretzky, should have a leadership role in that new scenario.
Jan 7th, 2025 - At a press conference, Trump says that he would use economic force to destroy the Canadian economy to annex it.
Jan 14, 2025 - Trump again claims that most Canadians want to be American, despite new polls showing only 10% of us are open to the idea.
Jan 20th, 2025 - During his inaugural address, Trump says that the U.S. will 'expand its territory' during his second term.
Jan 23rd, 2025 - At the World Economic Forum, Trump says that Canada can avoid tariffs and economic collapse if it joins the US. He says this in front of representatives from most countries in the world.
Jan 24th, 2025 - Trump states publicly that Canada 'will' become a state
Jan 31st, 2025 - Trump announces a 25% tariff on all Canadian imports to begin the next day.
Feb 2nd, 2025 - Trump refers to Canada as its 'Cherished 51st state' and that it should join the US to avoid tariffs.
Feb 3rd, 2025 - A one month delay is agreed upon. Trump, in a conversation with Trudeau states that he doesn't think existing border treaties with Canada are valid, and need to be revised.
Feb 7th, 2025 - In a closed door meeting with his cabinet, Prime Minister Trudeau is recorded, without his knowledge, telling everyone that he believes very strongly that Trump is serious and that he stated his reason for annexation as Canadian resources.
Feb 9th, 2025 - In a Super Bowl pre-game interview, Trump says that he's serious about his threats, calling it a 'viable consideration for expanding US territory'
Feb 10th, 2025 - Trump announces an additional 25% tariffs on steel and aluminum imports from Canada to come into effect March 12th.
Feb 24th, 2025 - Trump publicly remarks that whoever signed the USMCA agreement is an idiot. He was the one that signed it.
March 4th, 5th, and 6th 2025 - Tariffs come into effect. Canada retaliates with it's own tariffs. Tariffs are again postponed until April 1st after a huge market backlash.
March 4th, 2025 - In an address to a joint session of congress, Trump states that the US will own Greenland 'one way or the other'.
March 5th, 2025 - US Secretary of Commerce Howard Lutnick told Canadian finance minister Dominic LeBlanc that Trump "had come to realize that the relationship between the United States and Canada was governed by a slew of agreements and treaties that were easy to abandon."
March 7th, 2025 - Unconfirmed Memorandum and maps leaked on twitter reveal Trump is allegedly planning to annex the entirety of the great lakes and Southern Ontario, home to 13,491,332 Canadians. This amounts to 35.25% of Canada's total population and includes its largest city, Toronto. This region accounts for 38% of the Canadian economy, and its loss would make Canada's independence functionally impossible.
March 8th, 2025 - Canada's foreign minister warns European allies that their government considers Canada to be under existential threat.
March 9th, 2025 - Mark Carney, the new Canadian Prime Minister, in his acceptance speech, states that Trump is seeking to destroy Canada, and its way of life.
March 11, 2025 - President Trump threatens to “permanently shut down the automobile manufacturing business in Canada” if Canada does not drop a 250% to 390% tariff on U.S. dairy products, which he doesn’t state only kicks in after a certain quantity of tariff-free U.S. dairy enters Canada, a quantity that was originally negotiated and agreed to by Trump during the USMCA in 2018.

In Trump's own words, "The only thing that makes sense is for Canada to become our cherished Fifty First State. This would make all Tariffs, and everything else, totally disappear. Canadians’ taxes will be very substantially reduced, they will be more secure, militarily and otherwise, than ever before, there would no longer be a Northern Border problem, and the greatest and most powerful nation in the World will be bigger, better and stronger than ever — And Canada will be a big part of that. The artificial line of separation drawn many years ago will finally disappear, and we will have the safest and most beautiful Nation anywhere in the World — And your brilliant anthem, “O Canada,” will continue to play, but now representing a GREAT and POWERFUL STATE within the greatest Nation that the World has ever seen!"
March 11th, 2025 PT. II - Peter Navarro, a Senior Advisor for Trump is interviewed by MSNBC. When asked about the tariffs he responds with "Just tamp it down, please, over there, ok? They're throwing down the hockey gloves. Stop that rhetoric...we're not going to tolerate anything but them stopping killing Americans", insinuating that this situation was caused by Canadians killing Americans.
March 11th, 2025 PT III - Trump again publicly muses that Canada, Greenland, and the US should be one country, and questions the validity of the Canadian and American border.
March 11th, 2025 PT IV - Canada sells $3.5 Billion dollars of its US Bonds
March 12th, 2025 - Canadian Finance Minister Dominic LeBlanc announces tariffs on $29.8B worth of U.S. goods. This includes tariffs on Steel, Aluminum, computers, tools, sporting equipment and cast iron products.

To my American friends, I know most of you are amazing and generous people. You didn't ask for this, and I understand that. I hold no ill will towards you, whatsoever. But I must stress, with as much seriousness as I can, the amount of damage this has done.
We have viewed you as our closest friend and ally for a century. We thought of you as brothers and sisters. We answered the call, again and again, for any support you needed from us. Most of Canadians visit the USA so much that we've seen more of the US than we have the rest of Canada.

American products have been taken off our shelves. Canadians are cancelling travel plans to the US. Photo after photo has been shared on social media of empty flights from Canada to the USA.

This isn't a joke to us. We're not overreacting. We don't think he's just saying this shit to cause chaos or negotiate a deal. We wholeheartedly believe that our closest ally and friend is about to bring violence across our border, economically destroy us, and eliminate our way of life.

The main driver for Canada's creation in 1867 was SPECIFICALLY to not be part of America, and to end America's very public threats and plans to annex our territory.
We're angry. We're really, really fucking angry. Open your eyes to what's happening because we're tired of trying to make you understand why and asking you why it seems like none of you care.

I still hope that there is time to repair this. I still believe that this is the result of one man's plan to burn it all down. But time is running out, and fast.
