Sotres is the highest village in the Picos de Europa National Park. A bit tricky to get here on the narrow winding road, but well worth the trip! Sotres is so beautiful that in 2024 it got an award from the princess of Asturias 😄 It's also famous for its blue cheese and is the starting point of some spectacular hiking trails in Picos de Europa.

Can you believe this is not Switzerland? We went for a day to this beautiful place just to see how it is. Sasha also found an abandoned villagge and some cute cows. Picos de Europa is now on fire, and it is such a shame because it is a wonderful natural place.

According to a report from WMUR9 ABC, Immigration and Customs Enforcement has arrested Bruna Caroline Ferreira — the mother of White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt’s nephew — for allegedly overstaying a visa by 26 years. Ferreira, originally from Brazil, was detained in Revere, MA and is now being held at the South Louisiana ICE Processing Center. Her attorney disputes DHS claims of a past arrest and says she entered the U.S. legally under DACA and is working toward a green card. Leavitt’s brother says his main concern is his young son’s well-being during this difficult situation.

Hi, I was going to be writing a blog post mentioning Holos, and was hoping I could bug you guys with a couple questions. First, are there any plans to/consideration of adding support for custom domains? E.g. I setup a Holos server, but a buddy who registers on my server could use a separate custom domain they own for their handle?
Also, I noticed that the source code link on holos.social 404s. Is that intentional (e.g. relocation, I'm sure things are sort of in flux with it being new), or is there a working link to the repo?
Anyway, project looks cool. Thanks!

Custom domains aren't planned yet but it's an interesting idea. Technically possible, but adds complexity. For now, self-hosting your own relay is the simplest path for a custom domain.
The link is correct, repo is just still private hence the 404. Will be public very soon.

An amazing pathway carved into towering limestone cliffs high above a turquoise river, connecting two small villages in the mountains of León and Asturias. This trail makes you feel so small, yet contaminated with awe. We found goats, waterfalls, tunnels, and snowy peaks in the distance. A truly spectacular trek.

If there is one place that we liked the most, it was the Cares Trail in Picos de Europa. Amazing trail between huge mountains. You feel so small, yet contaminated with awe. We found goats, little waterfalls, and saw snowy peaks. This is a place we must go again to!
