Mais il serait extrêmement dangereux de croire qu’un tel « bouclier juridique » peut contenir durablement la furie nationaliste montante. La mobilisation populaire est notre rempart, pas la Constitution.

Tout ceci n’est que manœuvre politique. Il faut se rappeler que le président lui même, dépassé par sa droite, avait saisi en dernier recours le Conseil constitutionnel, afin de se dédouaner d’avoir passé une des pires lois depuis des décennies en terme de répression et de racisme. Le Conseil constitutionnel a donc joué le rôle de garde-fou en retirant le pire de la loi, mais rien n’est terminé. Les motifs de censure par le Conseil reposent sur la forme et non sur le fond. Ils ne sont pas rejetés comme étant non conformes à la Constitution et rien n’empêcherait que ces même mesures d’un racisme hideux ne soient repris dans un autre texte de loi.
Parmi les mesures racistes restantes :

– la déchéance de nationalité pour les Français binationaux coupables de meurtre sur personne dépositaire de l’autorité publique ;
– la non-délivrance ou le non-renouvellement du titre de séjour en cas de « non respect des principes de la république » ;
– la fin de la collégialité des jugements de demande d’asile ;
– l’exclusion des enfants d’origine étrangère de l’Aide sociale à l’enfance (ASE) faisant l’objet d’une OQTF à leur majorité.

Cette loi, dans ses différentes versions, marque un tournant certain, de fascisation de notre société, d’un président prêt à inscrire la préférence nationale et la déchéance de nationalité en s’alliant avec le RN, d’une radicalisation du gouvernement vers l’extrême droite et d’un racisme immonde qui se déverse sur les plateaux télé, pour parler d’« antisémitisme couscous », de la manière dont devraient s’habiller les lycéennes, ou encore la justification des morts sous les coups de la police.

L’impunité du policier responsable du viol de Théo s’ajoute au spectacle. Face à cela, la mobilisation politique n’aura pas amené autant de monde qu’impliquerait la gravité de cette loi.

Il est pourtant crucial de ne pas s’installer dans l’idée démobilisante que le Conseil constitutionnel est un « filet de sécurité » qui sera toujours là pour bloquer la dérive autoritaire d’un futur gouvernement nationaliste. Un cadre constitutionnel peut être brisé ; une partie de la police et de l’armée, dont les velléités putschistes sont connues, ne demandent que cela.

La mobilisation populaire, solidaire, massive, est le meilleur rempart pour les en dissuader.

I've heard #cybersecurity experts often say that passwords are more secure than #biometrics, one of the reasons being that you can change your #passwords if it ever gets leaked but you can't change your biometrics. However one of the major downsides of using a password/pin for your lockscreen is that someone could simply look over your sholder to figure out your #password. These so called over-the-shoulder attacks are more common than you may think and the presence of #surveillance cameras everywhere makes the situation worse because now you could be recorded typing in your password!

So because of all these reasons I had mixed feelings about using a password/pin and tent to use biometrics whenever possible. But my opinion about passwords changed entirely after watching this 9 year ol

in the end, that all depends on your threat model, as always. Biometrics have again and again proven to be easy to circumvent, even just from public images: youtube.com/watch?v=VVxL9ymiyA…
And depending on where you live, the police might be able to force you to give them your fingerprints, but not a password.
But I fully agree that scrambled PIN pads should be more common, that helps a lot against someone just glancing over.

P.S. I very much agree that it comes down to your own personal threat model. E.g. I haven't bothered having a password lock on my phone since the dawn of smart phones, and very grateful for all the time and hassle that saves me. But then I hardly ever use a phone, and don't have anything critical like email connected to it, so the risks involved are rather less that for most people

Interesting idea thanks. Though it looks like that depending on the choice of image used, it could be even more susceptible to an over-the-shoulder attack. In the final orientation she is entering as the combination at 2:14, the number 5 stands out as the only number that is centred to a specific element in the picture. For a young person doing it quickly it may well be difficult to spot, but what about for someone with failing eyesight carefully and slowly lining it up for you?

It seems only somewhat more secure than gesture unlock.

It might trip-up video analyzis or surveillance unfamiliar with it, but two captures seem like enough to have a very high probability of identifying the commonality. Depending on user behavior, a single observation could be enough.

The best option, I think, would be some HMD as the sole active display.

very interesting idea, I like it. It is not as convenient as fingerpring sure, but having it as a second option (instead of pattern or pin) would certainly be great.
I wonder though, how many videos would be enough to crack your number and location down. Maybe even as low as two, if you overlap the pictures and see where are the numbers right before unlocking...

Yeah if you got recorded on video and there are multiple instances of it then you might be doomed. Randomly spacing the numbers each time could make it harder maybe, but IDK..... It's not perfect for sure.....

The AOSP-based custom OS GrapheneOS has PIN scrambling, which makes these attacks a bit harder and also improved fingerprint unlock security.

Highly recommend looking into the project because it has many amazing security features on top of AOSP, and is one of the few custom OSes with actual security researchers developing significant improvements.

25 novembre 2023 à Paris : La question palestinienne percute le féminisme

Le cortège, massif et regroupant près de 50000 manifestant·es, disposait de 3 pôles : le premier, les organisations et collectifs féministes, était le plus fourni et insistait notamment sur les violences subies par les enfants et adolescent·es trans, le second était en soutien à la Palestine, venu à l’appel d’Urgence Palestine, et le troisième regroupait les syndicats et organisations politiques.

Bien que toutes présentes au sein d’une même manifestation, les différentes organisations ont peiné à travailler de concert en amont. En effet, des divisions entre NousToutes, des syndicats et d’autres associations furent à déplorer, et ont conduit à des appels séparés entre NousToutes et le mouvement syndical. Ce manque d’unification du cortège montre également que le travail de jonction entre le féminisme, l’anti-impérialisme et le soutien à la cause palestinienne reste à faire pour aboutir à un mouvement uni et vigoureux. Ces dissensions, bien que présentes dans plusieurs ville, ne représentent heureusement pas toute la réalité, puisque, dans plusieurs villes, un travail unitaire de long-terme a pu aboutir.

« Féministes à la Hamas »

Par ailleurs, dès le début de la manifestation, des rumeurs, qui se sont avérées fausses, avaient annoncé la venue du groupe fémonationaliste Némésis. Finalement, ce sont 150 personnes qui, à l’initiative du collectif conservateur Nous vivrons, sont venues perturber la manifestation avec des slongans tels que « féminicide de masse, féministes à la Hamas » (au sujet de l’attaque du 7 octobre) et « féministes complices ». Ce collectif se défini comme un collectif citoyen d’action contre l’antisémitisme, il s’agit vraisemblablement d’ancien·nes militant·es de l’UEJF (Union des Étudiants Juifs de France) et de SOS Racisme.

Bien qu’aucun heurt n’ait été à déplorer, ce moment doit être analysé dans le contexte actuel d’une extrême droitisation général des discours. Si les personnes qui y ont pris part ne semblent pas être d’extrême droite, elles ont néanmoins tenté de créer une opposition entre femmes israéliennes et palestiniennes. En instrumentalisant les violences subies par les femmes israéliennes, elles ont affirmé que soutenir les femmes palestiniennes serait faire le jeu du Hamas, empêchant ainsi la convergence entre lutte féministe, lutte anticoloniale et soutien au peuple palestinien.

Cette action, qui a été largement diffusée dans la presse bourgeoise, a justifié un déchaînement de violences sexistes envers les militant·es féministes (cyberharcèlement, menaces…). Pour conclure, cette marche fut un succès par le nombre de personnes présentes, la tentative d’intersection avec le mouvement palestinien et la pertinence des mots d’ordre. Mais nous savons aussi que les luttes antipatriarcales, antiracistes, anti-impérialistes et antifascistes sont liées et nous pensons que ces combats ne pourront être victorieux que par l’existence de cadres unitaires larges et solides.

Depuis janvier, le monde agricole est en ébullition. La faute au productivisme, qui a créé un modèle terriblement fragile : solitude, endettement, surconsommation de carburants, d’engrais et de pesticides toujours plus chers… Comme l’épuisement des ressources et le dérèglement climatique font grimper les tarifs, le système craque. Il est temps d’en imaginer un autre.

Les paysans et paysannes nourrissent la société, donc il est évident que la société leur doit une juste et digne rétribution. Il n’y a rien de choquant à ce que de l’argent public alimente un secteur productif vital.

Le problème est qu’aujourd’hui, les subventions de la Politique agricole commune (PAC) sont utilisées pour conformer l’agriculture à un modèle mortifère et sans avenir : investir sans fin (et en vain) dans la mécanisation, les mégabassines, les intrants chimiques, les pesticides, l’agrandissement des structures... Les exploitations les plus vastes sont les plus subventionnées. Les petites et petits paysans sont laissés pour compte.

Le système actuel fonce dans le mur

Des exploitations toujours plus vastes. Entre 1988 et 2020, le nombre d’exploitations agricoles a été divisé par 2,6 ; leur surface a été multipliée par 2,4 [1] ;
Toujours moins de travailleuses et de travailleurs. Si l’on additionne exploitant·es, salarié·es permanent·es et saisonnier·es, leur nombre a été divisé par 2,6 : 2 millions en 1988, contre 759.000 en 2020 [2]. Cela signifie un temps de travail démesuré : 55 heures par semaine en moyenne, les samedis, les dimanches, parfois la nuit [3]..
Une rétribution toujours plus faible. Sur la même période, le revenu net de la branche agricole (RNBA) a globalement baissé de 40% [4], avec des inégalités croissantes : 18% des paysannes et paysans vivent sous le seuil de pauvreté, et jusqu’à 25 % chez les éleveurs bovins, ovins et caprins, et les producteurs de fruits.
Une détresse palpable. Cette logique conduit à l’endettement et à la solitude. En 2020, le risque de suicide chez les agriculteurs-trices était supérieur de 30,9% à celui du reste de la population [5].
Une fuite en avant dans la mécanisation, les intrants chimiques, les pesticides, l’accaparement des semences et de l’eau… En France, 90% des semences sont la propriété de six entreprises. Les volumes d’intrants chimiques continuent d’augmenter chaque année... mais ne parviennent qu’à maintenir le rendement de terres épuisées et stérilisées par cette surenchère.
La fragilité du système, révélée par le dérèglement climatique et la crise énergétique. Le capitalisme épuise les ressources de la planète. La hausse du prix du gaz, du pétrole, de l’électricité, la raréfaction de l’eau, sont structurelles et vont se poursuivre. Le prix des intrants chimiques grimpera en conséquence. Continuer à investir dans des engrais, des pesticides, des mégabassines, s’entêter dans un système sans avenir, c’est condamner les paysannes et paysans à l’étranglement.

Des revendications qui mènent à l’impasse

Revendiquer des subventions ou des détaxes pour pouvoir continuer à acheter du carburant, des engrais et des pesticides, c’est une solution de survie, mais à moyen terme, c’est foncer dans le mur. C’est la logique à laquelle poussent les banques, les semenciers, l’industrie chimique, la FNSEA, la Coordination rurale et l’extrême droite, par soif de profit, démagogie électorale, ou les deux à la fois.
Des revendications qui proposent une autre trajectoire

La Confédération paysanne propose des alternatives : des prix agricoles garantis pour sécuriser les revenus paysans ; l’abrogation des traités de libre-échange, antisociaux et anti-écologiques ; des aides conséquentes pour la transition agroécologique, la priorité à l’installation de jeunes paysans, plutôt que l’agrandissement des structures, l’arrêt de l’artificialisation des terres agricoles, la création d’une « Sécurité sociale de l’alimentation ».
La nécessité d’une transformation anticapitaliste

Mais dans le secteur agricole comme ailleurs, la nécessité est celle d’une sortie du capitalisme.

- comme les autres secteurs économiques vitaux, l’agriculture devrait devenir un service public, fondé sur des normes sanitaires et écologiques qui respecteraient la santé des travailleurs et des consommateurs ;
- toutes les fermes et collectifs de travail volontaires devraient pouvoir s’insérer dans ce service public ;
- le revenu y serait garanti, encourageant l’installation d’agriculteurs et agricultrices, leur accroissement, l’élargissement des collectifs, la réduction du temps de travail ;
- une planification démocratique, selon des échelons territoriaux cohérents, devrait éviter la surproduction ;
- l’importation de produits agricoles devrait être limitée à ce qui ne peut être produit localement.

Il ne s’agirait donc pas de créer des kolkhozes avec un travail caporalisé, mais d’aller vers une socialisation libre et volontaire de l’agriculture, qui corresponde à la fois aux aspirations paysannes à l’autonomie, et aux besoins de la population.

Another great video by @Dima - you know that when he releases a new video, it is a good and important video, about good people doing good things. Great job man! Keep on exposing these heroes trying to do some good in this fucked up world. But also, it is great to see that you do not forget to mention that it is this society of trade that makes us do these terrible things. It is important to not forget where the infection starts....

In this situation it's so absurd that people have to buy the forest to keep it alive or pretend to be hunters. It shouldn't be like that at all, it shows how rigid and fucked this system is. Carpathia is awesome organization and they came up with such creative ideas, but it's sad that in order to keep something alive you have to buy it. And you don't buy it for yourself, that's actually will benefit everyone. absurd... #fucktrade
