This is one of the most remarkable documentary series I've seen recently. Amazing! Must watch!

In this new series, paleoanthropologist Ella Al-Shamahi reveals humanity's incredible story across 300,000 years of human evolution and how – thanks to new discoveries – we're learning that the story is stranger and more surprising than we ever imagi…

Yes, it was released two months ago on BBC iplayer, where I watched it. For me, two month is a long time.

Ok :) - the older I get the more I see months almost like days :D. Long time ago for me is like 10 years ago haha.

Really nice documentary about a scientist who made our understanding of tornadoes a lot better. I love to know about such stories of humans who are curious about how our world works.

Really good documentary! I still think chronically playing video games is bad, but for some people can be a way to cope with problems and/or make friends, have a life...

Mats Steen, a Norwegian gamer, died of a degenerative muscular disease at the age of 25. His parents mourned what they thought had been a lonely and isolated life, when they started receiving messages from online friends around the world.

Yeah I think chronic anything is usually bad but in this case I can understand how it must've been liberating for him. Also solidifies the idea that these virtual interactions are still a way to spend time with each other and form friendships, even if it's online there are still people on the other side of the screen.

Mind blowing that these things are real! I really liked this documentary series. 2 parts. Must watch.

Good documentary that keeps it scientific. Not conspiracy bullshit.

After decades in the shadows, UFOs are being studied seriously. Are they weather balloons, optical illusions, secret military technology? Or something else?

Very nice documentary! If only more people would be like Sally...

Sally Ride became the first American woman to blast off into space, but beneath her unflappable composure, she carried a secret.

Oh I'm sure this documentary will be much longer with more details... In the end of that podcast episode I remember them criticizing NASA and USA a bit for the way they treated her, and at the end they talked about how she was only the first American women to go to space, because if you drop that word American then other Women have been in space before - but yeah NASA had sent many men to space before, so they could do it but still were way too late in sending a women.

Really interesting documentary and how we should stop projecting silly ideas about these things, and let science and scientists do their job. Science is the only way we can figure shit out ;)

Scandinavia with Simon Reeve - videoneat.com/documentaries/26…

Interesting documentary about how we can make our society a bit better. Things to learn from these Nordic countries, but also a bit of an expose of how even these tribes rely on the fossil fuel industry and so forth...

Implosion: The Titanic Sub Disaster - videoneat.com/documentaries/26…

This is the perfect example of why in this trade-based society things get fucked. Because people are focused on trading, making a profit. And these idiots did just that. Cut corners, then cut their lives short and of those who paid for their scam.

Tragic. But a very important example of how #TradeRuinsEverything

Very important documentary. Very well made. But still no criticism of this trade based society...their solutions work IF we calm down with consumerism.

For decades, scientists have tried to unlock the secrets of ancient DNA. But life’s genetic blueprint is incredibly fragile, and researchers have struggled to find genetic material in fossils that has survived for millions of years. Then, one maverick scientist had the controversial idea of looking for DNA not in fossils or frozen ancient tissue – but in the soil.

This film follows the scientists deciphering the oldest DNA ever found and revealing for the first time the genes of long-extinct creatures that once thrived in warm, lush Arctic landscapes.
