Great work on TROM II tonight! That's what I want, to be sucked into that and work work work. I am seeing some good progress and some good ideas. Ofc it is still the very beginning but tonight I did the proper kind of work! Lets hope I keep on doing that! Also, if anyone wonders, I keep in touch with @Sasha almost daily and she is doing very well. Se walked some 200km or more already. Nuts! We have 2 big projects to release this year of the beginning of the next: TROM II and the Big World Small Sasha book ;). Big plans, lots to do! #tromlive

maps.trom.tf is so fuckin cool! I can add marks and track where @Sasha is at :) - she goes across the Pyrenees on foot. No mule! Just her! And I can save these maps and add different layers and all that! No account needed. I can calculate routes, elevation, points of interests and such. I helped Sasha find a great spot to camp one night, with drinkable water and all that, because of maps.trom.tf. At least I'm enjoying and using our trom.tf tools :). I love to see such trade-free tools! Soonish I will create an info page for it for trom.tf. It deserves one so I can highlight all of the cool features. #tromlive

I worked a bunch on TROM II last night and before going to bed I had another idea about what and how to edit whatever I just edited, and I may change all the work I did for the past few days haha. But this is normal. Whenever I had to design a TROM book it took me some 2 weeks or more for the first couple of pages. But then, when I figured it out in terms of the design, I designed the rest in less than 2 weeks. So I think that's the case with the documentary too. I think that only the next month I'll be able to properly know the direction of it and how to edit it. This month is play and trial probably. I need to organize some 30h of footage....from 2 cameras. Thus 60 hours. This is much bigger than a book. In any case, so far I am enjoying it. #tromlive

Our trom.tf server is 41% full in terms of diskspace. We have 1.6TB in total. When we reach 70% we will make a fundraising campaign to move Peertube to a new server with 4 or so TB. And if we don't get the funding, we will limit the user quota until we get the funding ;). I think it could cost us around 40 Euros a month for 4 to 8TB of storage. We will see....for now we are good. Most of the diskspace is taken by Peertube, and most of the Peertube space is taken by our videos - we have uploaded all of our past videos when we released Peertube. So I think we are good for the next months to maybe a year we will see. #tromlive

I love TROM.tf :) - so many awesome trade-free services! Today I spent all day working on this website, to test more stuff, improve other. I have 2 more on my list for now, that I wanted to add for a while: a notes service that syncs between any device + a trello alternative which is super useful for projects/teams. I am testing both of them. I'd also like to add more apps to tromjaro's library. But tomorrow I'll focus on TROM II again. #ŧromlive

I worked a lot on TROM II today. So far I love it. But it is only the beginning...at this point I have no idea if it will be 2-3 hours long, or 12-13 hours long...let's see. I am taking it easy, enjoying it. If life is a train then I should keep it at a lower speeds to admire the landscapes and enjoy the journey ;). #tromlive

I love how this guy destroys the ElonMusk Cult ytb.trom.tf/watch?v=56862W24HK… - This Elon-multi-billionaire conned many people and he keeps on doing the same today. Yet people buy his nonsense. This channel has a ton of such videos about Musk. I highly recommend them Very well done and to the point ;). If Elon wanted to change this society for the better, he probably would not have become the richest man on Earth. #tromlive

The lesser "evil" is not as lesser I'd say, and also it can become the "main evil" just as easy. I won't choose between apple and google, I would choose a trade-free linux and I'll make the point why. The same way I won't choose fair-trade products to buy and think they are better than Nestle or whatever. Both are "evil". So I would not choose sides between Pepsi and Coca Cola, i would look for other alternatives and if there are none, I won't support any of those. :P

Also, a trade-free car company seems impossible since it is a "company" after all. But there are plenty free-er transportation systems like subways, autonomous EVs in UK made by the gov, or whatever. They should showcase such examples if they are really serious ;).

In any case :P

Maybe you're more strict about these stuff than I am. But I'm thinking like "Let's not make perfect the enemy of good". I don't think we'll ever be able to end trade in an instant. It'll probably come step by step and I'll support anything that'll directly or indirectly support this goal. For example, I'll support laws that helps reduce work time. This would give people more time to learn, think, volunteer for something and explore projects like TROM and others.
in reply to Rokosun

But I'll say one thing for sure, I don't like endorsing or supporting any commercial entity, be it google, apple, tesla, or any so called "fair trade" companies. Because at the end of the day, the goal for a company is to make profit. And what's profit ? If you're getting back more that you put in, that's profit. How can such a thing really be ethically right.
in reply to Rokosun

I knew it would confuse to call that a company. That's why I put a /provider over there, I think that makes more sense 😁

Yeah, the examples you gave are much better. If there are transportation systems and vehicles funded by governments, that's a good alternative, not a "company". Again, this is because the force of trade is lower, just like you wrote in your book :)

No, I get you. But we need some Stallmans here and there. Meaning, we need to keep the "pure" version of an idea somewhere, else we lose the meaning of it. And I am trying to gatekeep that for the purpose of informing others about what trade-free means. And why trade fucks things up. The softer I get, the less meaning the idea will have, I feel.
in reply to Tio

Its funny you said that, cause I've felt this similarity between you and Richard stallman. Just like how stallman goes to great lengths to ONLY use free software, you're doing the same thing with your ideas about trade. I honestly think its a good thing. When you're the founder of some revolutionary idea, it makes sense to go to these extreme levels to protect its values and be a good example for others.

Haha. That taking a shit example was really a joke, but I understand what you mean. If you look through a certain perspective, everything becomes interesting and curious.
Here's an interesting video about farts 😁 - youtube.com/watch?v=Zt9rvaijpP…

But what I really meant to say with the previous post is that we usually get caught up doing something in life and its normal to forget about stuff like this. Those goosebumps come and go, they're not constant.

After I'll release TROM II (if I'll manage to do that and not give up on it :D ) - I will focus a lot more on directory.trade-free.org/ and the idea of trade-free. I want to go back on writing books and maybe make videos on constant basis. Our Trade-Free Directory is a great idea I think. I love it. Is just that I could not focus too much on it to make it more known, to add more stuff and such. Thankfully @Aaron kept it updated and organized ;). #tromlive

So I am missing for like 2-3 days and I see this :)

These projects are kinda dependent on me to keep them up to date. The following days I will update them all and fix things here and there. Then all focus on TROM II editing.

I've been hiking for a few days with the awesome @Sasha . Something new to me. I handled it well, but damn it is hard. This girl is really tough. And smart and awesome :). So we did like 25km and she has to do, in theory, another 820km haha. Nuts! She wants to go through all of the Pyrenees. And she's on her way there. I only joined her for a few days, that was the deal ;). In any case, I hope she manages to do it.

Once she comes back she will work to release her book, that's not only about her journey but also about how trade fucks things up. In the meantime, now that I am fully alone, I will focus on editing the TROM II documentary. That's my priority. #tromlive

I won't be online much for these next 3 or so days. So you know - if anyone contacts me. Also, thanks to the financial support we have received recently I could pay for an anti-captcha for our invidious instance so that our ytb.trom.tf works now. Should work pretty much all the time. Which is fantastic! It is the trade-free youtube. Enjoy! #tromlive

Those who think that Bitcoin or other cryptocurrencies are better than money, understand nothing about this trade-based society. Currencies only represent trades, and trade is what pushes people to create so much destruction in the world. Also, to "mine" cryptocurrencies and spend so much energy doing that, more than countries of hundreds of millions of people, is simply insane. What these "miners" do is "solving" irrelevant mathematical problems to see what computer is first to get some rewards for that. Just to create more currency and "distribute" it in a very unequal manner to those who have the most powerful computers.

TROM cuts through this shit like a hot knife through butter, because TROM focuses on "trade as the origin of most problems", and not money.
