So, you know, I and Sasha try to live together on this planet. We've been trying that for the past 3 years. Documents and documents and documents, and endless documents. You have no clue how much shit we've been through. And yet, still no fix for it. I will make a big post about this when (miraculously) it will be partially solved, because there seem to be no "full fix" for it.

But, there are TWO major realizations overall, so far:

ONE.

This system is not working!

All of these bullshit jobs that we have, the paper world, are irrelevant. We went to so many institutions, to lawyers, to this and that. Sasha talks to 3 lawyers at once now. And for the past 3 years no one provided us with a clear answer as to what we can do to "stay together". We bumped our heads into so many walls.

And that's the illusion: it seems like this system works, but in fact the suffering and fuckery is dispersed to the you and the me. To everyone. We suffer, we try to fix our issues, all ourselves. The struggle is for us, the people. While these institutions that are in place dealing with the paperwork, are there mostly for the facade. Even for me who had very low expectations from this fuckery, it is quite shocking how pointless these institutions are. Trust me, several times these lawyers and paper people had to GOOGLE when we asked them some "legal advice". GOOGLE!?

TWO.

It's all about that trade!

You know how much I bitch about this trade based society and say that almost everything revolves around it...The fact that Sasha could easily get papers if I were to have a well paid job, tells you so clearly that ALL it matters in this world is for you to be a player in the trade game. That's all they care. Not love, not kindness, not smartness, not this, not that. NO. All it matters is if you can trade, be part of the trade system.

Our suffering is in fact a direct proof that trade is the origin of most problems. Go argue with me about that now! :P Because it is so in everyone's faces, that only the normal ones who adapted to the smell of shit, do not realize that they pooped themselves. And everyone else did as well.

What a shitshow society.

I see an increase in bot registrations tries for our Friendica. This is getting more and more of an issue. Read this article krebsonsecurity.com/2023/06/se… to see how easy it is to create hundreds of fake accounts per minute and spam the fediverse...

We suddenly went from like three registrations per minute to 900 a minute,” Chaput said. “There was nothing in the Mastodon software to detect that activity, and the protocol is not designed to handle this.”

This is very worrying especially with the rise of these "AI" language models that can make it nearly impossible to detect these spambots.

Our Friendica and Peertube will still be ok since they require manual approval and everyone is forced to explain why they want to join, so I can filter out most of the bots. But our Nextcloud and Matrix are going to be flooded. I am worried about our Matrix that is perhaps already hosting a bunch of these bots and eventually we may be defederated from the greater matrix network.

I am afraid that it is going to become hellish for us who host these services because we do not have the resources and manpower to deal with this.

This looks ugly.

And it is, of course, another side effect of the trade-society we live in. Where people need to trade in order to survive, and over time that mutates into a craze of trades where people are not just struggling to survive, but want endless shit. And thus, they cut forests, and make spambots, and pollute, and deceive, and lie, and all of that.

I have uploaded the trailer to our old Facebook page too, and our Youtube channel. Just because it is a very rare evet so in case anyone still follow us there. Let me tell you....Facebook is such a clusterfuck. I already knew that but I did not get to interact with it for a long time now. To simply add a video and a description is a mess. A million buttons, a million popups, a million boxes. Promotions and ads everywhere, and all of the crap. If people call that a "social network" they might as well call a Mall a "family home".

Friendica compared to Facebook is haven on earth. A pure social network.

So after I uploaded the trailer on FB and clicked "publish" the post popup disappeared and I was lost. I waited for like 10 minutes and I wanted to post again because I could not find that post....to then see that it was posted after those 10 minutes out of the blue. Took a while and no notification....so terrible.

Youtube is also a mess. An ad-video-platform where the focus is on clicks, views, how to monetize, where to put the ads, how to engage and all of this crap. I added a few subtitles to our trailer and it was like 5-6 clicks to add a single one, compared to 2 clicks on Peertube.

Again, Peertube is haven on earth, or the digital space. A simple and efficient VIDEO PLATFORM.

And that's how we can see how trade has a powerful and bad influence. If a social network or a video platform engages in trades with its users (data trade, attention trade, currency trade) then those platforms will never remain that, they will metamorphose into bazaars. Marketplaces.

Thank fuck that we now have our own social network and video platform, and they all connect with the greater fediverse. I LOVE that I can post our documentary on Peertube and not fear any Youtube BS rules. SO awesome!

My mobile phone is 7 years old, but works just fine. 2k screen, waterproof, whateverthefuck. My electric scooter is 8 years old. 1000W, range just about 12KM. But works fine. I may change the battery to double/triple the range. I have a 10 year old Windows tablet with TROMjaro. Works great. My headphones are some 4 years old. My laptop probably 6 years old!?

While I was watching some random videos about electric scooters (to fix something on my own), and realizing that they have become a thing now, I saw many people referring to 2-3 years old scooters as OLD and "of course is OLD so it does not work anymore". I saw that with phones too....nowadays a 3 year old phone seems ancient.

This is bullshit and it is a consequence of the trade system we live under, where "new" models, most of the time almost identical with previous ones, have to be released. Combine that with planned and perceived obsolescence and you got yourself the perfect waste-system.

So yeah...I think the newest gadget in my room is a few years old. We should not have to replace our stuff every year or two. This is insanity! Creates so much waste...
